  • Grief therapist H. Norman Wright, who lost his wife and two children, defines grief work as “the process of facing the fact that I am in grief and knowing there are going to be certain tasks I need to engage in.”
He’s referring to the painful challenge of realizing a loved one is no longer there and knowing the tasks of daily living still need to get done. Running errands, paying bills, and household chores are suddenly the sole responsibility of the person left behind. These can snowball into seemingly insurmountable tasks without proper support.
GriefShare’s grief support group program offers the kind of help that can keep hurting people from feeling overwhelmed. It offers counsel from caring professionals and new ways to restore stability and peace of mind. Learn how to find a GriefShare group (available in person and online).
