God never promised all believers we would live a long time and never get hurt. He promised that to select people in scripture. The real promise for all believers is that we would have a life full of growth, challenge, and meaningful relationships, namely our relationship with Him, and that our spirits would live forever with Him after this world, with it's pain and confusion, passes away. This world is temporary, but God's love never ends, even when we don't reciprocate that love.

Praying for you. I feel your words. I lost my mom three months ago and the world suddenly looks darker and more evil to me. I'm a 54 year old man but I'm truly finding out how much of a mommas boy I am. I miss her very much. I lost my sister in April. Dad passed in 2010. I'm the last of my family and I'll say it....I'm scared too
@QueenSpicyMama I am so sorry. Are you doing any grief counseling?? I go once a week plus there's a group once a month that is available through the hospice that cared for my mom, I go to that too. It helps but the best way I can describe this kind of grief is that it comes in waves and when it comes there is no stopping it but I also know from when my dad died, those hard cries are healing that's going on within. I love my dad and my sister, who was also unexpected, she had a heart attack at 64, but it's different with Mom as I'm finding out because it's mom
