Thank you! I'm only 23 but no matter if I'm very skinny or a bit chubby, the double chin is always there haha. My physical therapist actually told me that it's because of weak neck muscles. She took a picture of my posture and it did traumatize me a little bit. But yeah, learning mind body connection is truly key!

If you press down, it will change the way the muscle is lifted but, its ok, you can do either depending on what you need. Just experiment with the different ways if feels as you do it and you will work out which is best for you

Fantastic improvement on this particular neck exercise! One of the symptoms I suffer from is " coat hanger pain"-- headaches that start at the base of my skull, and extend all through the back of my neck/into my shoulders. As a result, doing the original version of this had become almost impossible to do without making things worse. I tried this new version out and it's easy! Feels so much better. 😊 Thank you, Peta! Looking gorgeous as always. 🥰

I have that same issue and this worsens the tension in these lower facial and neck muscles! This exercise is new to me, but doing it now for the first time, I am really impressed with the effect on this front part of the neck muscles. It surely will have a positive effect on muscle tone and collagen production. I can feel my muscles have had a good workout. There is a great stretch for this coat hanger type of stiffness I came across that has greatly improved my quality of life. Standing in a narrower doorway, lift your elbows to the side at 90 degree angle and forearms upwards against the door frame and lean slightly forward with the upper body for 30 seconds. You need to feel the stretch between the shoulder blades. In bad episodes I used to do a repeat. These days I seldom need to do this and seldom need painkillers and muscle relaxants. But my muscles are still very tense and I have developed marionette lines around my mouth! I know these muscles are all connected and causing this aging appearance. I'm thankful for all these tips on getting our myscles toned and relaxed. Perhaps I should do this sideways stretch for my neck more regularly again for more relaxation in that area and not necessarily because of painful spasms. It should help force some relaxation around my mouth. 😊

When you say focus on the muscle you are working with that is so true!! I find that when I focus on that one muscle I feel it move alot stronger but if I loose concentration then it doesn't move as much!! You are right when you say use all the principles to get better results!! I have been doing your facial exercises for a year and half now and I am still learning tips to get better results!! One question can we do the older version of the finger placement in some of the exercises? It seems to work better for me!! BTW I tell everybody about your program and what a gem it is!! Have a great week Peta!!

I'm not sure that I have those muscles we are talking about ... ;) I can do what I would call "the frog move" (like puffing out the under of my chin), but, I'm not sure it's what I am suppose to do ... it would have been interesting to see how exactly you do it without putting your hands in front of your neck ... Oh, ok, I think I found them now! Youpi! I'm just gonna have to find a way to aleviate tension on the back of my neck while doing it (we naturally tend to put a lot of strain on the neck - it's no surprise that we often have pain there). I definetly gonna do it lying to protect the back of my neck. Thanks a lot. You have a really beautifull neck!
