    Tried it!!!!! AMAZING!
Can make to your desired “crispiness”. I find that the less crispy ones have more flavor as the marinade did not dry out as much.
Also hickory liquid smoke (as opposed to mesquite) has more “bacony” flavor.
I added some black pepper to marinade
Warm water helps paper stick better

I use a heaping tablespoon of the smoked paprika, also some cracked black pepper. gives it a great color too : ) Also you can coat the whole sheets with a brush on a damp cutting board ,layer them and then just use a sharp pizza cutter to cut the strips. much faster.

Yes! I’ve been vegan over 20 years, meat free over 30 years.Vegan is the best thing you could do for your babies! I gave birth to a healthy 10lb baby girl 16 years ago. She was always at the 90th percentile in intellectual and physical development. Vegan breast milk also made her brilliant and healthy...she potty trained herself before she was 2 and was reading and writing at 3 years old. Vegan kids are healthy compassionate little miracles. You’re going to be an amazing mom💕🌱also, you’re going to look like their hot older sister when they’re teens.

What a hit! Total game changer. This recipe is fantastic! and surprising quick and easy. I used the round rice paper because that's what I had in the house, and it worked just great. I was short on parchment paper, but I was able to use the same piece over and over. We had vegan BLTs for breakfast. I'm going to try crumbling some on a vegan cauliflower alfredo tonight.

Looks really good. I haven't had a go at making it yet, will try later today. One thought I had being a chef is that you should be able to create an emulsion with the syrup and oil if you use a stick blender, it would create a thicker marinade that wouldn't require constant re-whisking.

I baked them a 400F for 7 min. and they burnt, so I reduced the heat to 375F and baked them for 5 min. The amount of bacon I was able to make with the amount of ingredients was about 30 strips, I cut the strips about 1 inches wide, love this recipe and will make them again!!

I've made this twice now. I didn't have parchment paper so the first time I used a paper bag that I cut and the second time I just used tin foil, both times with a spritz of cooking spray. A good pair of kitchen sheers is ideal bc cutting the sheets without is tricky since you likely have to wet them first to use a knife. I tried it without the liquid smoke the first time and then again with the liquid smoke. Since I was using smoked paprika both times, I really didn't notice a difference. Next time I might up the liquid smoke a tiny bit. I added cracked pepper and a bit of salt too since I only had low sodium soy sauce and it just didn't seem salty enough alone. I overcooked it the second time because the recipe I used suggested 9 minutes for crispier bacon. That's too long though. It was still edible but not to my satisfaction. Overall this stuff is great! Super crispy, really looks like bacon, great flavor. Best faken I've tried yet, way better than the store bought ones.

Is there any nutritional value in this? It looks good, seems easy enough to make and i can see it almost as a spice in the sense that it turns a lettuce and tomato sandwich into a BLT. But am I correct that it is empty calories?
