Another tasty option... I rinse extra firm tofu then dry then slice thinly and pat the thin slices dry. Then i make a wet mixture of soy sauce, liquid smoke and maple syrup and put the tofu in to soak up. Then fry. We are using it on vegan BLTs 😊
Same method for making Thai rice/tapioca noodles (except the frying part) . If you have a tamale pot it has a metal insert to set the pan on out of the water.
Wow, was not expecting your vegan bacon recipe to have them like jelly before frying. Was expecting more like a seitan kinda thing. Very interesting to watch. That crunch at the end was perfect
I've watched quite a few videos where an attempt is made to make vegan meat and the thing that always seems consistent is how long it takes. The process not only takes time, but also is involved. This is quick and simple. I will have to give it a try. I'm not a vegan, but I do try to eat healthy. An odd thing to say when the topic is bacon lol. Thanks for the idea!
I have to give a shoutout to Sauce Stache as his channel has inspired this recipe! @SauceStache, thank you!

Thanks! Best version of vegan bacon I have tried. Tomorrow…. Pepperoni for pizza!

I wouldn’t say this is healthy, but it is healthier than actual bacon!
Very interesting, I haven't seen a facon recipe quite like this before. 🥓
It’s pretty easy too :)
Dull knives can be dangerous. Can a different starch be used?
I never said my knife was dull. I honestly don’t know about other starches. Works great this way.
