Yeah and resources that don’t get mined by the cutter can sometimes be activated like a plant can be harvested by clicking on them up close. But seriously I appreciate you. Only took me 10 hours playtime to figure out this from your comment lol.
If I recall correctly, Mars’ core is no longer molten. A molten core allows for a sort of electromagnetic shield from solar winds, which we on Earth also benefit from. Since Mars’ core solidified, the electromagnetic protection disappeared, which ultimately dissipated much of Mars’ water that it once had, leaving it the red, dry planet we see today.
That's basically it. Mars continues to be weakly magnetic, but not enough to maintain a significant ionosphere, which would assist in having an atmosphere.
I save scummed until i could persuade Hank to chill out. He made up a story to tell Trevor about saving the equipment from pirates and Trevor was just like, "wow! Ur not a weirdo after all! You're a hero, Hank!"
7:45 just so you know this guy has a repeatable side quest so you don't just do it once you can keep doing this if you want to. This is a good way to obtain a lot of credits really fast and level up at the same time it's a win-win.
@punkphoenix4881 it's a niche game with many bugs, but the community is super cool. The events are pretty fun, and if you love building, then you'd like it.
7:17 well if we go to english 300 years ago you get the declaration of independence and whatnot, so quite understandable, just needs some clarification i suppose; how quickly language changes depends on lots of factors though. An interesting concept that surely would happen is world's would (assuming english becomes the lingua franca of the settled systems as it did with earth) have their own dialects and accents just as different areas of the UK and US do; if one area becomes cut-off it'll lose influence in and out and eventually become its own language by taking a separate path of its siblings, this is documented in real life as well, just with land and water instead of space and planet.
love how the "perfect plan" in hank's mind doesn't include suspicion at all. like what does he think is going to happen? there's only one suspect, he didn't even bother to make up a story about pirates or something, he just came back without the merchandise and sat down to have a drink! what an enormous shithead. and yes, i, too, know the type. lovely co-workers they make.
Makes no sense that you can use a laser against a heat leech. Lasers focus light that makes heat to cut. I mean they can take a spaceship thruster to the face with no problem
52:23 Searched that video immediately after finishing this mission. Having to switch from running to walking constantly felt like a Chinese water torture.
I'm pretty sure addictol from Fallout 4 looked like Jet too, so no surprise here that the cure also looks like that. Even the Fallout 4 legendary prefixes are back for this game. They didn't even bother to give them new names. Furious still does more damage consecutively, Exterminator uhh, that might be spoiler territory. It's a damage boost to a type though still. This is basically a reskinned Fallout 4, in space, with entire sections straight lifted, just names changed. Not a bad thing really, just kind of expected more new stuff than there is.
7:02 well worldwide most people aren't monolingual tbh so i bet most who play this in non-english aren't monolingual, depends on other factors of course though.
I don't know if you've heard of Terrormorphs... But there's a reason that when you point your scanner at a heat leash and at one of those big monsters creatures that they don't show up on scanners. It's more than just ironic and it's more than just a coincidence.
I've dealt with Hank with two different characters. First time, I persuaded him and he went to jail. The second time, I failed persuasion and had to kill him.
For your information, make sure that you kill every single heat leech that you come into contact with... There's a very good reason why you should... If you really want to know I would suggest hitting up the UC vanguard quest line. Forget about the main quest right now the best thing to do is just to side quests all the way through, but do get up to the point where you go on what's called The Eye... At least do a few missions past that... And then once you meet Vladimir then you'll want to go scan a s*** ton of gas giant planets... You get a pretty good sum of credits every time you go turn in a handful of survey data slates that have information about planets on them.
FYI if you hold the aim down sights button with the cutter the beam gets stronger. You can mine faster and do a little more damage.

If you haven’t tried it yet but any pictures you take in photo mode are used in loading screens. Just a fun starfield thing
It was actually a fallout 76 thing. They just took it and put it in starfield too.
@@vessellast836 oh cool, well I haven’t played 76 just yet

Captain Lyle Shnub returns!
I wanted to believe in you, Hank!
Incredible gameplay and commentary as always, Lyle. Looking forward to each new episode!

Hell yes, Space Trucker Flannel. At last I can roleplay what happened to Travis Grady in Silent Hill Origins' UFO ending.

The AI is pretty tricky when it comes to using landmines it's just better to use throwable grenades.
Do you think human kidneys are worth more in space or are they worth less? 🤔

you might wanna get the StarUI inventory mod, it's absolutely incredible.
