It's been a long time since your videos have been put into my feed. It's good to see you again; the boys are getting big! Good luck with your next endeavor! -Scott
I really hope what you're saying is true, some of the reasoning just doesn't make sense. Liquidating so you can expand your business makes sense, selling your house because you can't stop renovating and cleaning it is crazy talk.
not likely to be able to get back in a house like that again is the reality. i mean you can but not at the price you bought it for. you make good points it really comes down to what makes you happy
The both of you are so wise and you guys are on the same wavelength and will live prosperous no matter what you do in life. Best of luck on your new journeys to come.
As someone who went from owning nothing and living in my truck (I thought it was my dream) to now owning a house I can 100% agree the dream isn't always what you think it is. The past year I have been working like crazy and selling everything to get out of debt as well. At the end of the day physical objects don't mean anything. There's always another house and another truck.
Definitely have missed the vlogs but totally get it! I’m in a similar place in my life that I jut want to downsize and not have so many “things”. Over the last few months I sold my “dream” boat and truck because I realized we hadn’t used them in over a yr! I came to the realization that things mean nothing but memories and experiences are everything. So we are working on getting debt free and doing more family activities. As always you’re not alone brother. Best of luck!
Dude I feel like you been MIA for the last 2 years, it even got to the point where I thought you dropped UA-cam. Glad to see the family’s doing great , you are one of the most underrated channels on UA-cam , great content
My wife and I reached this point in our lives last summer. We bought a van and rented our house out long term and hit the road full time in our van back in June. My wife owns her own marketing business and I quit my full time job in May. The amount of clarity after not chasing the dream has been incredible. I cannot recommend it enough.
Bro been watching your videos from almost the beginning! It was kinda weird not seeing any new videos lately but glad everything is working out for you and your family!
Good for you guys. You're relatively young and there is a TON of life ahead of you all. It's awesome that you two have checked in with each other and shifted focus together as a couple as life continues with it's ups and downs. Good luck Powell Family!
Loved this. You and your family motivated my family and I to explore. Was bummed when the channel steered a different way, and I get it. You have to do, what you have to do. But glad y’all aren’t forgetting to live. I still drink from my coffee mug everyday! Let me know if I can purchase an Outsiders Media decal for my rig. I’d love to support your brand!
17:32 . Glad you see that. I am 49. That is a bit how i feel about my last 30 years. "It just slips away" couldn't be more true words. My wife and son and i jusg came back from a small trip for a few days. I listed all the trips we have made in the last 10 years..saddening (4-5) our last one together was about 4 years ago.
Max I’ve been a sub to your channel for many many many years, I’ve seen you and your beautiful wife grow as a couple and as parents to those awesome kiddos. I wish for you and your beautiful family nothing but the very best (as always) in your new endeavors. Can’t wait to see what you and Des have in store. Still hoping to meet ya someday and shake your hand bud!!
This is an awesome move, and I love seeing people like yourselves realize and be able to shift. It isn't an easy jump, but if you and your partner believe in what your mission is, it will work great.
I have been watching you guys since the beginning and you have never disappointed. Thanks for all that you do and good luck selling your home!! Also, good luck in the next step in life. 😊
I’ve been following your journey from the start. You guys are gonna build Outsiders into something massive & this is just the start. Wishing you well! #DontForgetToLive 👊🏼
I think this is the best decisions y’all have ever made. I could tell the house always seemed to be a problem, probably not evident to most but it was said through your faces and your interaction ruins in past videos. I can tell, even with the house not sold yet that a burden has been lifted and y’all see so much more carefree and happy which is living. So stay on this track.
I understand your reasons for leaving. I left property in WA for a house in town in Nevada. So much less maintenance and the public land out here is my property.
Keep the updates coming, I’m very curious what lies ahead for you all. Like… where the heck are you going to live and the family details like, are you going to home school and what not? I am working in public service like you were and I’ve always thought about living an “alternative lifestyle”. I don’t know if you are going that route but it will be fun to see what you guys come up with! Are you going to start making UA-cam videos again or just mainly focusing on the business? Best of luck to you all 🙏🏻. If you are ever near Utah County and need anything let me know.
I think that’s fantastic you guys decided to do that and as always, that Tacoma has turned into a beast and I’m glad you didn’t sell it! Glad to see videos back again.
your rack is that billy bars?....i have a diamond back and im looking for something that i can still open my cover; good luck to you...remember you could always just hire a cleaning service mine is 80 bucks per visit for a 2700 square foot house.
Maxx keep up the good work as time allows. We all can get super busy with life and fam yet we need to remind ourselves to take breaks when often needed. Best regards. Greetings from Glendale, AZ
I always say the most important thing you can have is paid off property because it is a safety net. There are solutions to the small issue like cleaning. I am also a business owner and have purchased a home. It is definitely a fixer upper and we are putting the work into it. My thought is that I will leave something behind for my kids that can also be their safety net.
Your Wife and Family are beautiful and prescious. Please keep hold of them, so many distractions in life can leave you blind..... You are blessed beyond belief 😘
Glad to see you and the family are doing well. Been around for a WHILE. Still wear my don't forget to live shirt from some time ago. Excited to see what the next endeavor is for y'all. Much love, Chris.
The house and all the toys are awesome, however nothing wrong with wanting a change of scenery, the pictures and memories will live with you for ever of the ole place!
Here comes a long one guys but I just gotta say it, it’s been such a pleasure finding your youtube channel way back in the day just before you got carol 😅 and to follow along and watch you guys grow as a family has been so friggen inspiring!! I’m not going to go into all the details of my life over the last 8ish years but I just want you to know that you really did help me take a different perspective on life and showed me how to not be afraid to live the life that you want to live. I have so many good memories of watching your videos (you named your cow Tim after me) 😂 but the biggest thing I have taken from you both is how united you guys are in your life that you are building and also the way you are raising your boys and taking them along for the journey and not stoping the adventures! Is it weird to say that I’m proud of you guys ? Hahaha honestly tho I owe allot to you both and I’m grateful 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I wish your family the best of luck in this new chapter and if you ever find yourself wanting an adventure in BC let me know !!!
Very good words of wisdom guys, not everyone can do what you are doing so live your life to the fullest and do exactly what make you feel right...wish you all the best... HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I’m doing the same thing. Every month I try to sell something or cut something out. Trying to make up for a decade of blowing money on toys instead of building assets. Next big thing is sell the house and move into something smaller. A big house is definitely a burden. Excited to see what you guys do for the next place.
Get it man! Excited for new changes and a new adventure! Sometimes going more simple allows you to live more life.. I doubt you'll be on your death bed saying "I wish I had more stuff'... but you might say "I wish I had more time to do fun stuff with my family".
Well, I’m almost done with the video and I’ve gotta say Home is only where you shit shower and shave. You don’t need a big mansion. Kids are gonna grow up and they’re gonna move on. They’re growing up so fast especially if you wanted something different and you’re pursuing it Fantastic Desiree you definitely don’t need to spend every day of your life cleaning up that big ass house so I think that is I think you guys are making a very wise and great decision spending on what’s going out don’t go overboard. A little common sense goes along way. That’s why I downsized a long time ago. Good luck guys.😊😊😊 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
When I bought my small 7 acre parcel, my 84 year old neighbor told me, " you won't own this property, it'll own you" I now understand exactly what he meant, houses, property, ranches, homesteads etc, take much effort to maintain and improve, more than 5 acres can be a full time job....
Maxx Definitely happy for you and your Wife and Kids .. Wishing you Awesome Success in your Lives and Business… Along with your Outdoor Media Business Are you still going to be Putting out Your Awesome You Tube Videos ? Greetings from Lakeland Florida
hey dude. feel free to each out to me here and we can figure out how to connect personally. I am somewhat local to ya and paid my house off at 35. hadnt ever made 6 figures and have a really good grasp of budgeting and finances and would love to sit down and go through everything to see what you can tighten and what you can loosen up on. im only 40 now. Ive done a lot in my years and have a lot to offer you in terms of free advice. I also happen to have more camera gear than brains and would love to cross paths. I am over in North Idaho!
Congrats on the home sale. Godspeed to you and your family on future adventures!!!

This is such a throwback style vid with Des and the kids just wheelin

I’m excited for you both. I can relate to exactly what you’re thinking.

100% right !
Best of luck on the new adventures! Your perspective makes me feel a little bit better about being in my 30’s and not owning a home.
Your kids were having a dream childhood. Hopefully you made the right choice. Good luck.
but Des didn't want to clean!
@@Skylyned ..exactly...with the amount of money they throw around... A cleaning company 2 days a week would be a very cheap solution to their problem.
@@yeabuddy6070 no kidding, makes me think they aren't sharing all of the details quite yet

Good luck on selling and everything that comes after. Looking forward to seeing more about it as it happens.

You can keep Wild Chinook (Kings) up along the Columbia River in some areas. I caught one this weekend.
That’s good, y’all have the chance to enjoy the dreams. Enjoy life in the fullest way.

Not really, he talked about taking out a HELOC after he quit his job so he’s definitely not cashing out lol.
Ok the trail looks fun, but would my Raptor fit?

Great decision! Life is not about keeping up with the Joneses! 👍🏻🍻🇺🇸

Farming hard. I want my own business painting custom paint jobs on cars, boats, or whatever.
I like grapes, just not on sidewalks.
Social media is wild.
Being house poor sucks....good luck man
I only ask because I’m planning on moving to that side of Washington for more work opportunities
Awesome! What charcoal grill is that?

Go join your cousin in Montana! Or come out here to Nevada and be freeee!
Don’t forget to live!
This is really smart. You're too young to just settle down.
We pay taxes on everything....
Income, Gas, Electric, Water, Property, Insurance, Retail Sales, Retirement, Services.... its exhausting.
I went to high school with Max :)
