Hold up.. if you still have a CAT and need one in your state I highly recommend you get rid of the pops & bangs tune ASAP, speaking of personal experience, that cat is getting blown apart and soon enough you'll be failing any emmissions testing you may have to do, if you never have any sort of inspection and/or tests you may be fine, still would recommend going with a "dummy cat" in that case.
What tuner brand? Im from Sweden, so our biggest tuner is BSR which i have now. Pushing round 370 hp 480 tq or so on a Stage 1 GTI Clubsport! 😄 If i go Stage 2 next year or so, i would pick Revo Stage 2. Should be Nutty Good & hit over 400 hp. Iv done a custom turbo back also, catback part is Cobra Sport & an invidia highflow downpipe in front with sportcat! Sounds, This combo sounds AWESOME! And still even less drone than stock round 3000 rpm... Next upgrade here is either IE Carbon intake / MST inlet pipe/house / or TVS Engineering DSG Optimization! 😎 👍
Hey mate! Beautiful car and sounds perfect. Just wondering why you went back to stock packs over APR? Did you notice something in particular or was it based on specs? I ask because I bought APR coilpacks to replace my stock packs (due) as well as NGK sparks. IE 2 is next once the sparks arrive. Appreciate any info!
Cool video! I just brought my R home today, from western mass. Definitely looking to tune it. Coming from a stage 2+ wrx I will say subies are the best sounding 4 cylinder imo 😂
White mountains national forest in NH? Hey, I may have seen you over the last couple months. If you ever drive through Merrimack and Nashua and saw a lapiz with ND plates that was me!
Honestly just get a proper Dyno tune, I keep hearing about you guys in the US getting pre-made tunes (that will never be 100% to your car's setup, even when going with their exact package since they can''t fine-tune on your specific engine condition, etc), instead of just getting a proper dyno tune? Sure it can be slightly more expensive, but here Dyno tunes are really popular in the EU and those basic tunes like you guys have are kinda frowned upon, I don't really tend to hear why you guys prefer the commercially available ones though. If someone from the US could respond to this with some experience of their own (preferably trying both like I have) I would appreciate it
How much power do you think youv gathered with all upgrades so far with the Stage 2 on your Golf R? (estimated guess, coz i assume you havent dynoed it so far?)
Sorry for your loss mate. I love how humble you are. The video is amazing to the point without wasting time! Keep going chief!

They sound good for the 10 whole second they last before the hg blowers sky high
Fa motors don’t have this problem anymore

Hey boss, has it been on a dyno? You mentioned power figures...
How do you find the ie stuff vs your previous apr stuff?
How much power do you think youv gathered with all upgrades so far with the Stage 2 on your Golf R? (estimated guess, coz i assume you havent dynoed it so far?)
at least 10hp
@@NewEnglandPete yea 💀
@@NewEnglandPete can you actually answer that?
Love from U.K, saving up for a Golf R at the moment. I have a BMW 1 series 2014 M sport. Looking for an example for £20,000.
Hey how did you get your digital dash map to not be "North up"?
This guy is in eliot lol... randomly came across this video and just realized you're local
I'm halfway through the video and all your doing is talking .do you actually drive it ?
do you get pops&bangs exhaust with stock car?
So sorry for your loss Pete. May I ask what your mod list is for stage 2?
Appreciate it! and I included all the links to my parts for stage 2 in my bio.
Hey Ik but weird to point out, but do you always drive around with the lights off? Just noticed in the bottom left it was in the 0 position lol
when returning home late at night, I place them to “0” to give my neighbors one less thing to complain about.
Sorry for your loss mate it sucks huh?
Have you done any PPF or other protective film?
Really strange IE keeps the oil temps so high. APR keeps oil temps around 208, and it spike to 220 under intense load.
Same with Unitronic and EQT
@@dib_gti2093 maybe they don't change it, factory is up around there.
Fire vid bro
How does your turbo flutter?
because of the tune
@@Yellowpie7 ahhhh
It does sound bad ass though
It’s the IE intake, it made the same sounds for me without a tune
@@CollateralFatality I have one on my gti and it doesn’t flutter, maybe bc of the bigger turbo on the r
Why you talking omg, press that throttle dude its GOLF R jesus
Damn you talked so much I can't hear the engine..
Stop talking and drive the car, we're not searching this to hear you voice, we want to hear the car and see the power......
