The fact that the _entirety_ of the top (bottom?) half of this list is comprised exclusively of Wrath of Cortex levels just goes to show how much of a raging dumpster fire that game was… and the saddest part is that there are even _more_ trash levels than just those. Coral Canyon for being the worst of WoC’s garbage underwater levels, Gold Rush for its agonizingly slow monkey bar segments and its questionable grasp of physics, Droid Void for _its_ agonizingly slow monkey bar segments and the mech suit that flat-out _doesn’t work_ half the time - any one of those could have easily made this list. The moral of the story: there’s a reason that Crash 4 pretends WoC never happened, and the rest of the gaming world should follow its lead.

As much as I love the insane trilogy, I do agree that most of the creepy/suspenseful atmosphere in Crash 1 and 2, especially 1, was lost. Generator room for example. They replaced Cortex’s soulless stare on the monitor to an expression more lighthearted and goofy.

This is accualy the very first game I've ever played, or at least the first one I enjoyed playing. And I've even recently revisited it when I bought it on steam. And really, I need to agree that the story is very rushed. The opening cutscene is disconected from the climax and it made 5 year old me confused. Aside from that, I am still glad that people are still making content on this game, and enjoying it.

I own not one, but two copies of Rayman Origins, both copies for PS3.

I've played through Rayman Origins after getting every trophy in Rayman Legends on the Vita. It's still hard for me to decide which one I like the most, they're both very good.

Loved Banjo-Kazooie soooooo much. I have so many fond memories with it and I replayed it dozens of times. The Stop 'n' Swop Secrets made me really thrilled for Banjo-Tooie as a kid. I was so into Banjo-Kazooie that I even discovered the secret behind Bottle's picture myself. I never got the chance to play Banjo-Tooie as a kid, but I finally got my hands on it a couple years ago and I remember being extremely disappointed with it. I can't agree with you about Super Mario 64, though. What the fuck is wrong with you? lol.

I just 100%ed this game and… yeah this game is shit. It progressively gets worse the more you play. The final boss is an absolute nightmare because of the controls. The final level is none existent, the quiz is ONLY multipliable choice questions and sometimes it just cheats. The mashing minigame is straight up broken and hurt my hand. And I do not want to associate it at all with Banjo Kazooie one of the best games of all time. This is possibly the largest drop in quality a sequel has had.

Similar to the story of the original Super Mario Bros. 2, Stormy Ascent was cut due to a fear that it was too brutally difficult. Many people already complain about how unforgivingly hard The High Road was, so you can imagine the contempt that Stormy Ascent would've been met with back in the day.

I have so many memories playing this game with my older sister. I think it has the most unique bosses and the most unique overworld and the most unique art style in the DKC trilogy. The final fight is also really good. I liked how you needed to avoid the electricity while simultaneously having to hit K Rool with the barrels. Dixie was amazing in this game and it really brings her character to life.

Also, I really hate Piston It Away with getting that box gem. I already hate having to backtrack in Diggin It and Cold Hard Crash, but the fact that you gotta leave that one enemy alive and bounce off it with such timing to reach that height is a giant middle finger…

TBH, I’d much prefer Crashteroids over Mad Bombers, with having to shoot the two propellers off those constantly moving planes… And while Smokey and the Bandicoot sucks, the only credit I’d give it is the fact you can die in those pits unlike the motorcycle levels from Warped, cause imagine having to deal with the loading times just because you missed a crate…!
