Dave I just found your channel. I missed this video by a month. I bought a new stove because of this same problem. I could of saved $1200.00. 😀 Definitely saving your channel for future home repairs. Keep on posting your great videos. We appreciate you.
Thank you so much. The repairman quoted me $600 to fix this same problem, and I had decided I would just buy a new stove for that price. With your help, I was able to fix it for $90. It was awesome to save the money, but also empowering to discover I could do it myself!!
Thank you so much for posting this video...I replaced the infinite switches on my samsung electric range, and lo and behold it worked...saved me buying a new one. Thank you so much.
The video is really helpful. Replacing the part helped me save a lot of money. I was out of warranty and didn’t wanted to buy a new stove. Thanks for sharing the video. It’s really helpful. I have a Samsung stove. Though my part number was different.
Good video. I’d like to add that you should turn off the circuit breaker before unplugging the oven. I learned this the hard way. Also, the replacement part came with a completely different set of connections, so I had to translate it so take multiple photos from different angles as some wires might cover up the view of another. There’s also two of these on my oven so got to buy another.
I’m in this situation now and don’t understand how this happens. it’s started with just 1 burner and now up 2. I really appreciate this video, ill be applying this fix. thank you.
It's not a Samsung thing. It's one of the most common repairs with stovetops. This could have easily been a Whirlpool or GE. There are hundreds of youtube videos showing such reoairs. The biggest culprit I've found is that people typically use the same burner over and over. To get longer life....spread the love...rotate the crops...or use whatever analogy you like to remind yourself to use different burners when possible.
Id have to respectfully disagree. Just because this is a well known issue with all the brands, doesnt mean its not an issue with Samsung as an individual. That is the company selling the product I purchased. They made or sourced the components for their product, so they are accountable. This is a well known issue, historically speaking. They should do better, and supply units that are more reliable. Or offer a reasonable remedy.
Our Samsung FE-R300SX just started doing the very same thing now on the two front burners. You had to open the broiler door to get to the model number. Curious to see our range was manufactured in Thailand on March 2012. We purchased it in April 2012. I wonder if these equivalent ranges are now all made in China. Anyways, thanks to your video we can quick fix the problem. Thanks!
Thanks. Same thing for the right side replacement. I need to tape one of the missing wire connection (at the left bottom corner) for the OEM part. Works well :)
I followed his instructions and replaced the switch in about 10 minutes. I have never done this before. Do exactly as he says and it will be simple. It took longer to clean behind and find the part to order than actually replace it.
@@jacquelynabrams1219 I replaced the part for my double burner in front, so it fixed it. Each burner has its' own switch, so if multiple burners are out, you will have to replace each one separately.
I currently have a gas range in the home I'm renting so this obviously doesn't apply to my living situation at the moment but I've always wondered, are the infinite switches interchangeable between the glass radiant cooktops and the older style coil cooktops as long as the number of elements (single size, 6/9, 6/9/12 inch) and wattage match or are very close? In case my next house comes with an electric range.
Same issue on both double burners. Fixed left one by removing connectors and applying contact cleaner. Then the right burner started acting up and the cleaning fix didn't work. This started with a five-year old range, which says a lot about Samsung ranges. The parts aren't cheap either.
I was trying to replace a burner regulator on my Samsung (model NE59M4320SS) and gave up as I was unable to pull out one of the Molex connectors from the old regulator (the white connector with the double red wire). It just wouldn't come out no matter how hard I pulled so eventually I just stopped as I was afraid to damage the connector. All the other wires came out pretty easily. Just for comparison, I also tried to pull out that same connector from the other fast boil burner regulator and it would not come out either. I am thinking it must be designed this way and there is probably some kind of an inside lock or something, but I just cannot figure it out. Any advice?
I just bought a house and burned food all weekend on the Samsung that seller left behind. Samsung Q&A gives you no info. I was about to bust out my credit card to buy a new stove! Thanks for this info I have a home warranty and I'll call someone to do it. If they don't know how I'll point them at this!!
I can't find one for my stove. It's FE-R300SX. Can you let me know where to find it or what it's compatible to? thank you, your videos are very helpful
You don't have to take a picture of the wire . Juste unscrew the old one and install the new one and unplug each wire at a time in plug it back on the new one;)
I followed these directions and when I plug the cooktop back in the “cooktop on” light comes on and the burners I replaced are getting warm without me turning them on. Any thoughts?
I have this same issue with both dual burners on my stove, it doesn't do all of the time but I just can't trust it. Is it the same part for both dual burners on the Samsung model NE59J7630SS
Will this work on any model of Samsung? We have model NE59J775OWS. Having the exact same problem where the front right big burner only functions on high heat… HELP
I wouldn’t be surprised if the new switch you bought is also defective. They are very cheaply made parts. Barring that there may be a broken temperature limiter under the range top.
I tried this fix for our Samsung. Instructions are very easy and we bought the infinite switch based on the model number but seems like the stove is still having the same issue. Any ideas what else could be the problem after replacing the infinite power switch?
double check you replaced the right switch for the burner, if so send the switch back, the switch directly controls the voltage to the burner so there's really not another option

This was the exact fix I needed for my stove. Thank you!!
Thank you! Bless you! This saved us from buying a new stove.
Thanks for the video man! Found my part and know how to fix it quick now!
I'm so happy i found this now both my front burners are overheating. Looking to order the parts today
Amazing and simple way of fixing the BIG problem...just awesome !!!
I have this problem w my stove. Figured it would be a quick fix. Thanks for making the video. Appreciate it.
Let us know how it turns out!
I miss your apartment series. Seeing you do those work orders was oddly satisfying.
I miss making them- may return one day gotta lay low for awhile though
Glad I saw this!
The first video I saw was how to replace the burner, was gonna buy that
Glad I scrolled down for the switch fix ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This should be a recall and SAMSUNG should repair it for free. Mine does the same thing!

Just happened to my 2.5 month old GE. Quality control on whoever is supplying these power regulators is crap@@Nclght
Mine does this to.
I just did the same thing ordered the part from Amazon and replaced it. I saved a couple of hundred bucks .
How did you ensure that you had the right part #?
Ours too!
@@rcw601looked at the Samsung parts and model number to make sure it’s the same part .
Thank you so much for this!

Thanks I thought it could be the relay in the switch and you confirmed it. Samsung was no help, they wanted me to call a service man. 😅

Does that switch control the front and back burners? Both my front and back burner on the right side of the stove are having this issue.
Thank you for the video. I’m working with Samsung stove tops. Only matter of time until I need to do the same thing
Well done
Thank you!
Would this work if doesn't heat at all?? It was doing this first and now it won't heat
Are the switches universal for samsungs?
You don't have to take a picture of the wire .
Juste unscrew the old one and install the new one and unplug each wire at a time in plug it back on the new one;)
How can i make sure it’s the infinite switch?
Same type of switch for all 4 burners. Or each switch is different?
I followed these directions and when I plug the cooktop back in the “cooktop on” light comes on and the burners I replaced are getting warm without me turning them on. Any thoughts?
Sounds like something is mis-wired. Verify everything is hooked up correctly via your models wiring diagram
Where is the link to find the part
I have this same issue with both dual burners on my stove, it doesn't do all of the time but I just can't trust it. Is it the same part for both dual burners on the Samsung model NE59J7630SS
I have an Amana insert and it does the same thing
My Kenmore oven came on automatically, very dangerous.
Is it because the mother board went bad? The oven has an electronic control board.
I just bought a house that has this same exact stove and I have felt that all of my burners react this way. Do I need four of these switches?
Me too
Does that switch affect all 4 burners? I am having this issue with all 4.
Will this work on any model of Samsung? We have model NE59J775OWS. Having the exact same problem where the front right big burner only functions on high heat… HELP
Yes it will you just need to make sure the infinite switch matches the one for your model
After I replaced the part only the inner coil heats up, but the temperature is correct.
mine is front left dual burner...is it the same switch.??
The one I replaced in this video is a front dial burner but I cannot say if it will work for your model
Changed this on mine, problem still exists, had the element changed before and just wonder if it is installed incorrectly?@@ApartmentMaintenancePro
Thank you. Now I know how to fix mine. All 4 burners do the same. This fixed all of them?
No, each infinite switch to each burner, on this model in this video I have no idea which stove you have
@@ApartmentMaintenancePro Mine looks identical
For me, all 4 of my burners have the same issue. Would this I have to do this to all 4 switches? Or is it a different problem? Thanks
Did you get a response ?? I have the same question
I have the same problem with all four elements so with this one part fix all four elements, could you let me know Dave please ?? Thank you.
I don't know what model appliance you have so I can't help :(
If more than 1 burner stays on high will this fix all the burners or is there a separate switch for each burner?
Just one
Is That energy regulator related to all 4 burners???? Or need one of those for each burner ???
Each burner
Always the front right.
Wouldn’t it be better if you reconnect the all wires before you screw it back?
I have the same problem. Found exactly the same part on amazon, replaced everything correctly and still have the same problem. What gives?
I wouldn’t be surprised if the new switch you bought is also defective. They are very cheaply made parts. Barring that there may be a broken temperature limiter under the range top.
I've replaced the same controller on my Samsung stove twice. Took the 2nd one apart and it has a poor design that wears quickly.
I tried this fix for our Samsung. Instructions are very easy and we bought the infinite switch based on the model number but seems like the stove is still having the same issue. Any ideas what else could be the problem after replacing the infinite power switch?

The part I used in this video is in the description. But please make sure you match the part to your model 👍
Same here and looks like it is Samsung's fault.
