Isn't the dragonflying in wow a rip-off from guild wars 2? BTW how is the combat in GW2, is it more action combat? haven't played it since pretty much release.
Main reason i still wont play the game again is that everything is getting so god damn easy, wow classic was a BLAST when it came out, but then the controversy happend and i didnt want to support them anymore. Later on i started realising how little fun i actually had playing the up to date game, aswell as the classic, as the grind never really felt like i had earned it, it was just a time sink and never really a skill issue.
Yup that's a big part of it, another thing I didn't really touch on was that I don't feel like I progress in any meaningful way, its always kinda the same. I think a huge reason why classic was so fun early on was the amount of people that were playing, logging into a crowded server and talking to and teaming up with random people was awesome. There isn't much reason to do that in the open world in dragonflight and when you do team up with people in dragonflight you dont make any connection to the people, retail wow is kind of a single player mmo.
My friend, the content in retail is infinitely harder than anything we have had in classic so far, bar levelling. I always find it hilarious when people say retail is too easy. Try a mythic raid, a high level key or an arena
How can you say the lore is interesting when you skip the the quest text in each zone? Im just saying because this has been the worst quests we have gotten and my friends who have read them aswell agree. Weak zone quests. Also main story doesn't hold up to most other expansions.
i have been a huge fan of warcrafts lore since warcraft 2 rts days but each expansion brings retcons to the lore or additions that piss players off like. Sadly it just keeps getting worse, devs are more brave to attack players for obvious criticism(3 devs got caught making racist comments on twitter about blood elves being only white skinned after that some time passed and its discovered they would add black skin to blood elves all the players that pushed back against it got called racist by the devs EVEN BLACK PLAYERS where called racists, The devs! were literally caught actually making racist comments. This is a FANTASY game no one plays fantasy games to see them self's they play FANTASY games to escape there monotonous lives! Over the years more and more science fiction gets put into the game its not fun NOW THE TITANS ARE ROBOTS!!!!
Yeah WoW becoming more sci-fi is definitely my biggest issue with the story these days. I hadn't heard about the blood elf thing, honestly I'm pretty much checked out when it comes to WoW and blizzard as a whole at this point, the people that work there now always end up messing up what they work on. A good example is diablo 4. Why get invested in anything they do when there's a 90% chance its gonna turn to crap?
@@CinderSnake gone down hill for years and new writers just dont care about the works of others that came before them. oddly enough steve denuser has been in this industry for years but acts like the younger ones and has for years, He started with everquest i didnt play it but everyone that i spoke to that did hated him, The game i know him from before WoW was kingdom of amalur and theres a rumor todd McFarlan(creator of spawn famous comic guy) called him the worse writer he had the misfortune of meeting. pretty funny i hope its true Something i dont understand is he's well known. Saying things like gaming is a terrible media for story telling, which is why he likes to split the story into other media like books, Big on the toxic masculinity BS which is why hes got a hard on for destroying a lot of the loved male characters. hes a vary hated person in gaming so why did blizzard hire him i just cant wrap my head around it? As for the the blood elves thing any mention of not agreeing with adding black skin tones gets you labelled as a racist. fantasy just cant be fantasy anymore every ones got to be catered too.

IMO this is completely fair opinion from a solo perspective. The game really holds up much better if played with friends or old time guildies.
Playing Dragon Flight just made me want to go back to try GW2 in 2023... So I did, was much better! Thanks Blizzard! :3

I was more talking about the overall story with Raszageth and the dragons
