Great thanks & let’s hope I can get this full song 🙏🏽. I do like the low G sound. I’m new to learning Ukulele and mine is high G. I’m also guitar player 😃
Hello Kev, Thanks so much. I find you a great teacher, so enthusiastic with the knack of even giving a duffer like me confidence enough to try what initially seems totally out of my depth. Just a question though. Is your channel full-on up and running as I see from your web page that you were due to launch again in 2021 ? No disrespect but I'm a little confused. Keep on trucking !
Thanks for the kind comments Alan. I plan to launch TheTikiNation.com soon. That will be a ukulele membership site. I've done hundreds of lessons for it. I have been dealing with aftermath of Covid and loosing my business of 10 years because of the idiots who Govern California, and I am also battling Stage IV Cancer. TheTikination.com will be amazing. I have done over 300 live Ukulele webinar classes. I will do better at posting into UA-cam more regularly. Thanks for watching my vids Alan. Cheers! KEV
@@QuickStartUkulele Thanks Kev. Will definitely join when you relaunch. Your obvious positivity will surely help you in your fight against the Big C and I wish you all the very best in that. We've all had Covid amongst my extended family here up in Mid West Thailand and I know what it's like to lose a business (or two !) so I have real empathy with you and for you. Looking forward to more of your great stuff. Chuk Dee or cheers as they say up here.
This is super great. So glad I found you. You have a great song selection. One thing that would be helpful would be if you had the sheet music to go along with the songs. I don't mean to be ungrateful but it would help me when practicing. Thanks again
Great suggestion! There are copyright issues that UA-cam does not allow. If you sign up for the class - you will get links to my cheat sheets and can ask questions. It is donation based - so check it out. thetikination.com. Cheers KEV
Hi Ceci. That part at 12:24 shows a technique that simulates the extra guitar lick heard in the original Neil Young Recording. Its a little fancy shmancy and I should have maybe put it in a more advanced video. If you know how to play a Bm barre chord - you just make that same chord shape only move your index finger from fret 2 to fret 7. It's another way to play an Em chord. We have classes online every week. They are donation based - so pop into one and ask questions - I'll do my best to answer them! Try the Starfish Class at 10 am Pacific standard Time. thetikination.com
Hi Ceci - That tip was on how to use your ukulele to simulate (sound like) a technique that Neil Young did on his guitar. It is called a Harmonic. I'll post a video about what a harmonic is to You Tube soon. For the "awesome little tip" I showed you how you can make an Em chord in a different place, higher up the neck of the ukulele. By playing the Em Chord higher on the ukulele neck, it sounds almost exactly like the guitar trick on the original recording of Harvest Moon. Don't feel Stupid! I learn new things everyday and sometimes it takes me a while to "get it"! Also I have live online classes every Saturday for beginners. Classes are donation based so you can come check it out and ask any questions you have there. I'd be glad to show you. Find out more about the class here: thetikination.com. Keep strumming! KEV
Awesome tutorial! One of the best of Harvest Moon. Simple and clear. Thank you for sharing.

Love the song and the tutorial was very helpful. Now...if I can only learn how to bar those tight little strings! That's the booger for me. Thanks!
