So buy 3x Plague Surgeons, got it.
😂
*points angrily at nurgling scribes* WRITE THAT DOWN!
Buy 7 of every Kit. It'll please the Grandfather.
I bought 7 just to be safe.
They always says metas come full circle. Surgeon meta will rise!
Just started a long drive. I know exactly how I'm passing my time
Valid
Road trip!
I actually Put together a OC/Control list around the Icon bearer, Blightbringer, and PBCs just see what I could do with them and it's actually pretty good against horde armies
New to the channel and thinking of collecting death guard I'm a guard player at the moment and your channel is helping me to figure out what I want to use for death guard. Your play style is same as mine I like hybrid guard so got a tool for every job. Keep up the great vids thanks
Your podcast got me back into my deathguard. I really love painting the models but went totally off then at the start of 10th. The new army rules have made them much funner. Wanna take them to events soon.
This helped me out a bit in teching my list around the models I want. If I can manage to get everything I'm planning for, I'm going to end up with:
- Mortarion
- Typhus
- 1x Sorcerer in termi armor
- 1x Lord of Contagion
- 1x Foul Blightspawn
- 1x Tallyman
- 6x Deathshroud Terminators
- 10x Plague Marines
- 1x Foetid Bloat-Drone
- 1x Deredeo Dreadnought
- 1x Defiler
- 1x Soul Grinder
- 1x Land Raider
- 1x Knight Despoiler
- 20x Poxwalkers
- 2x Beasts of Nurgle
It's bigger than I was initially aiming for (I like shorter 500-1000pt matches over the usual 1500-2000pt ones most people play, and I don't play tourneys so legends units like the Deredeo I want aren't an issue), but I think I can make it work as the sorta' toolbox it ended up as.
Getting back in after selling it all a few year ago
From GSC and Tau to DG, and man...there is so much less to juggle here
Aiden check this list out. It started as a list to deal with 2 good friends who play druhkari...
It ended up being a list that scores maximum points fairly easily haha... Im no great player which leads me to think Im onto something with the list haha
I think its fairly self explanatory how it functions

Looks like a cool list alot of blast and defilers have a really nice melee punch too
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien it's buffed indirect and endless point scoring chaff. Morty+carpark of indirect, LoV+ Helbrute bodyguard for matching line of sight. 9 units of chaff for objectives and points
They can't put anything on an objective without it being destroyed by something big behind a wall. The chaff forms an orderly que to keep sitting on the point to score.
You out shoot but also, out pawn your opponent. You pretty quickly start trading up in a serious way for objectives. Not many turns before I'm shooting terminators to pieces then running some nurglings onto the point. Hooray!
Appreciate we aren't Imperial Guard but... maybe we should be?! Maybe I play too much chess but, I cant imagine winning a game without loads of pawns. When you ponder for long enough, why would you ever use plague marines to secure a point when cultists can score points and die next turn just the same for less points? ;) I've heard you ponder this on previous podcasts - you're right, give it a try!
X
I'm curious how you feel about Knights now with the new Pariah Nexus mission deck. Are they good for scoring now? especially after losing Nurglings for scoring?
AIDEN, could you replace the cultists with poxwalkers?
Poxwalkers don't have scout move, so you could, but you aren't getting anything extra for the points unless your pairing them up with Typhus and doing the resurrection thing. I honestly think that 2x10 cultists and a 1x20 poxwalkers is a reasonable inclusion in a list, you can either pair the poxwalkers with Typhus for the blob, or use them for deep strike/rapid ingress screening, speed bump with them, secondaries/actions as needed, no reason they can't flex into a list.
@@johnhildenbrand2642 Thanks bro (I don't own cultists xD)
Interested to know what the termie skew would look like, always loved the blightlords but they just feel bad 😢
With Pariah Nexus coming soon, How much do you feel is going to change?
In my group, all my players just love chipping my plague Marines one at a time. So i need to add the plague surgeon as a tech piece... Might as well get 3! 😂
Jokes aside, great topic.
Surgeon meta when?
Just the video I needed! woohoo
What weapon loadout do you run on your 5-man plague marine squads? I have setup a balanced 10-man squad with a mix of heavy plague weapons and spewers/launcher/melta/plasma. Do you follow the same approach for a smaller squad size?
I'm more in it for the casual gaming and rolling dice.
Hell yeah i hope your having fun with it :D
Warhammer would be so much better if it was rule of 1. 3x troops allowed.
How does one join the discord?
Currently the channel discord is a members feature, But a recurring sub isn't required once your in your in. There is also the nurgles mansion discord for a larger more generic nurgle discord that I'm part of
Why not take 3 Predator Annihilators/Destructors over the Plague Burst Crawlers? It gives you 150 extra points to run another Bloat Drone and Cultists.
