Fixing splayed leg

Hi everyone we just wanted to share how to fix splayed leg if you get any that have it when they come out of the incubator. You will want to do this with in 24 to 48 hours of hatching or when you take it out of the incubator. This will fix the issue with in 24 to 48 hours of taping them. It has been our experience that the chick or duckling will kick the band aid off within that time.

Update on the ducking:
The next day we could not tell which one had the bandage and they were all running around just fine!

Hello! I was wondering if you can still tape a duckling if they're almost 2 weeks old? I'm new to raising ducklings and I have one that might be having this issue. It also shakes a lot and I'm not sure if that's from not being able to balance.

Typically you want to tape them right after they hatch. The tendons and muscles strengthen and won't reshape the older they get.
