You should try the Carbon Serpent rod they make paired with your Carbon X II reel; they have the 7'2 ML spinning rod in stock.
I ordered the rod and a Viper X 300 to pair with it, kind of wanted the 200 size because of the 22lbs of drag it offers, I'm a 10lb mono guy myself as why the 300 size.
Back 30 years ago braid had just came out with Spider Wire and reels, I tried the combo way back then and it eat s line guides, and I caught less fish vs mono, what has change about braid in 30 years that I don't know about as everyone seems to love it now.

Do you think the soft handle will tear up. Thanks

@@timdavis3532 I haven’t had a problem with any of my carbon X reels and I’ve had some of them for well over a year now and the handles are all still fine

best part about handles is if they do you can just replace them yourself

I was wondering, would you prefer this reel over the abu Garcia max pro 30(long name) because I really want a good reel but don’t know too much about this. I also wanted to know which line you recommend. Thank you for the great vids btw! Oh one more thing, I’m gonna try fishing for bass sized fish.

I like these reels more than the max pro, piscifun makes a really good product and I’ve been happy with all of their reels! I put 20 lb power pro on it and seemed to do a good job. Mostly bass fishing with it so far
