    you must be a special kind of retarded to not even put ucp up here.
    also i'm not gonna watch your video since you unbearably stupid, but the chinese cloud pattern was used ONLY FOR CEREMONIAL PURPOSES, if you did your research you would know this but apparently that's too hard. also desert night camoflauge was designed to disguise the wearer from iraqi night vision goggles you sped. put china's fire-fighter pattern up here why don't you since you clearly know nothing about camofluage. also north korean duck hunter actually has a chance of blending in unlike ucp. do your research you dingbat

      Oh boy, I love clicking on a video just to watch people talk about how bad UCP is over and over again. Seriously dude, how many times do we need to hear about UCP? What else is there to say?

    UCP wants to thank you for not making the list. It wasn’t a camouflage, it was a recruiting tool. Soldiers look so good in them, everyone wanted to join. I want you for US army. Choice not chance. Let the army join you. Be all you can be. Army of one. Army strong. What’s your warrior?

    That night vision camo is ironically effective in forest terrain but also saught after by collectors.

      I have a pair of the desert night camo. I picked them up at a local resale shop several years ago. Paid $5 for them. They are in great condition. I did wear them a few times on squirrel hunts. They do work well in the woods.

    DNC was designed to fool first gen night vision, which works by using an external IR illumator. Later generations instead pick up on ambient light that is otherwise too dim, which is why NVG's usually don't work in a completely lightless environment, although the solution to this is an IR illuminator (Like so much in the military, it came back full circle). In fact, earlier pieces of DNC straight up glow under NOD's. Still doesn't change the fact that it's neat and I have an irrational fondness for it

    Okay before you run your mouth, the US Army's UCP is the worst camouflage ever. Period, not negotiable.

      The color palette was bad, not the pattern. When you dye UCP green it actually works quite well.

      UCP-delta is awesome. Normal UCP printed on FR or Nomex isn't horrible when its faded, especially in a desert or urban environment

    Desert Night camo was uneffective againt russian night vision at the time, but compared to the night vision Iran had, it was still somewhat effective, that's why it was kept in service through the gulf war.

    I don't think the North Korean pattern is that bad. There are several Soviet/Russian bright green patterns that blend very effectively with leaves and grass in the spring and summer. Although those patterns are commonly used on reversible oversuits with a brown pattern on the other side for more drab environments.

    • @frostydrifter
      @frostydrifter 3 місяці тому

      I have heard of the bright camos but brown on the other side? What are you referring to?

    • @fridrekr7510
      @fridrekr7510 3 місяці тому

      @@frostydrifter There are several, some have a drab reverse side due to less of the dye coming through, like most Partizan and Sumrak suits, while others like the Partizan-M have a printed brown pattern on the reverse. Even the standard issue 6Sh122 suit has a tan/green side and a brown/grey side.

    The North Korean camo looks more like the American parachute camo (only used on parachutes for supplies, not people). Basically anyone who found the parachutes would use the camo silk to camouflage themselves, even saw a pic of a Fallschirmjager in France in 1944 wearing it as a helmet cover. My guess would be they encountered it during the Korean War, or some from Vietnam made its way to North Koreans, since Vietcong would make clothing, helmet covers, and even bags from it

    The US Army didn't completely abandon the idea of night vision camouflage after the original desert night pattern. It could be argued that UCP was a night vision pattern since, from what I've read, the colors used in UCP were chosen specifically for how they appeared under IR light. The Army conducted tests and chose the light, medium, and dark colors that performed the best under IR light and didn't blend into each other when viewed under IR light.
