    Yeeesss, this is how I learnt to cook waakye from Fulera at Madina. I add a little twist to mine by adding homemade coconut oil from Togo. Muah!!!

    Do you use the same measuring can for the rice and beans to get the 50-50?
    Why did you use the kanwe/ salt peter in the leaves before you soaked the leaves? Will you still get the taste if you omit the kanwe?

      That is the only thing I know for now unfortunately but you can cook it without the kanwa, although it will not taste the same.
