- Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to introduce Snoke and the First Order's new Mega Star Destroyer. This ship will be the largest, and the most powerful, of the new Star Wars Canon. However, there are at least 5 ships in Star Wars canon powerful enough to take the Supremacy Mega Star Destroyer - this video will detail those ships, and discuss why they're truly the best of the best, and why Star Wars Episode 8's new behemoth from the Unknown Regions isn't good enough to stand up to Legends.
This is the first episode of a new series, which I think I will call Star Wars: Gauntlet.

Yuuzhan Vong Worldship: The largest ship in Star Wars legends, a biological ship which ferried the Yuuzhan Vong from their galaxy to ours.
Eclipse Super Star Destroyer: A powerful planet cracker, and the immense flagship of the reborn Emperor Palpatine.
Silentium: A race of droid-ships which could reach over 50km in diameter.

god terminators vs droidekas might be a fair match but the terminators beat everything else lmao only reason I chose droidekas is because they have shields while the average terminator has either a really big minigan and a rocket launcher 1 of the above or some special weapon like a plasma gun.

I like the idea of seeing how a character would fare in another universe and facing the challenges that another character faced.
Here's a good question in my opinion:
If the Allies had one AT-AT at the Normandy landings, D-Day, how likely would it to survive the rest of the war and how much of an advantage would it give over the whole of the Wehrmacht?

It can be tripped, tanks with legs are stupid unless you have some bullshit like the Metal Gears emulating human biology with nanomachines.
It would probably faced with few actions, during the landing it eill be a great asset destroying german bunkers and fortifications, but thats it, the allies already have total airsuperiority and german tank force will be destroyed and pushed out of normandie
The AT AT would probably be sent to cean and move towards the front line but because its weight it couldnt be transport and its low speed means it would take sometimes to reach the front
From then it might be in time for a german counter attack but it would failed anyways, then it might help the allies in advancing across the ruhr in operation market garden, but honsetly it wouldnt change much most of allies force will still be bogged down and the paratroopers will have to be recue again
During the battle of the buldge i can see it as a mobile fortress advancing and destroying german tanks on the early days and lead a counter attack
During the advance into germany it would probably play a major role in urban fighting in arhnem or cologne
And help the allies break the west wall

I think that the Doombringer is able to destroy Supremacy with the Silencer, and the nickname "fleet killer", and another ship is the Gravestone, it is the only ship which was able to defeat the Eternal Fleet which was so huge that the Sith Empire and the Republic together weren't able to defeat.
Speaking post release, I say most any dreadnought from the Legends continuity would wreck the Supremacy. The Executor in Legends took three Star Destroyers coming out of hyperspace on top of it, and it just caused its shields to flicker. The Supremacy on the other hand, was cut in half.

disney didnt care enough to provide a background for how this ship was built, so just just know and accept it exists, ok.
Although it's doubtful it'll happen, I'd LOVE to see the Yuuzhan Vong made 'canon'.
Repeating myself again, it need not be a full-scale invasion force; maybe a small expeditionary group getting the lay of the land, crossing paths with the Resistance, the First Order or characters from either side.
Should have been the greater threat in the dinsey movies.

You forgot about the Gravestone from SWTOR. It's Omnicannon cold take out the ship in 1 hit alone (though the method of infliction damage is unknown...). I think this MIGHT even solve the fighter problem too as the effect of the Omnicannon spreads to nearby craft; meaning that if the Gravestone were to fire it off quickly enough, all or most of the Supremacy's TIE's would be encompassed.

Any ship carrying a super laser, even just a smaller version, should be able since punctual damage is repeatedly mentioned to quickly pierce shields, whether the shield is at full power or not.
The long, constant focus on a single point will break through the shield and allow to destroy first the armor then the internals of the target.
In retrospect, any large ship with a hyperdrive can destory this ship.

Can now destroy any spacecraft not protected by an active gravity well generator or the gravity of a celestial body... for an insanely cheap price. Costs less than a snub fighter and no pilot is needed
Pretty sure you could outfit an asteroid with all of that easily. A hyperactive can technically function in a gravity well under manual control so this could potentially work on planets with the right modifications. It's really only supposed to effect the ship in hyperspace though. They already established in legends that even a smaller ssd can deflect ships as big as star destroyers coming out of hyperspace with no damage.
Everything you try to make sense of it results in some other problem though. Like in the book they said the raddus had special shields was the reason why it worked, but then you have to explain why no other shield can replicate that. In the new movie they say it's a one in a million move, but that implies its been tried and failed a million times and also implied its so unprecedented nobody had ever tried it before. And physics wise say it did work, the damage would have been so destructive that it would have literally vaporized everything within visible range including the fleeing transports. Nothing works!

The dovin basals are black holes, they would need to have numerous ships firing their glassing laser in a similar area to have any chance
I don't know about that, Yuuzhan Vong bio tech is very advance, their flight systems (Engines) are creatures (dovin basals) that manipulate gravity. They also function as the Yuuzhan Vong version of shields, as Gups already said the they create micro black holes and actually pull the shots fired at them into the black holes. There were ways around this but as far as I can remember they where never overpowered directly, and all thier vessels had them, do to the dovin basals their fighters were able to tank shots from capital ships with out any issue. Also do to their unique nature unlike other shield systems they don't degrade, so firing powerful blasts at them would not reduce shield by 10% or anything in fact it would have as much effect as you shooting at with a pistol. Either way the dovin basals reaction would be the same and regardless of power level the result would also be the same.
The way Xwings could bypass the Basile was firing lower power multi blasts in random order. The quad laser cannons being able to confound the basiles enough. The hulls of the Vong ships was strong but other wise unshielded like durasteel that has duranium in it to scatter energy hits slightly better.
If the covenant could fire enough they could win too. But let's be fair, even though the Republic beat the Vong, they only won to trickery and stealth.

Ther was way over 1000 Capital Ships like the attack Carrier (~5km) and CSO Super Carrier (~29km)
Normally I wouldn't declare a stomp, but the sheer amount of capital ships that follows High Charity numbers in the hundreds and is actually several combined fleets.. The Empire brought 30 ISD2 and had the Executor as well as a few other ships like the Tector thrown in.
As much as I love star wars and the ideas you present are possible, the mega super star destroyer is never alone.

The Mega Star Destroyer's turbolaser shots arc through space as if they were affected by gravity. Clearly it has reality bending powers that allow it to break physics. Nothing can stand against such an abomination.
Jem'Hadar vs Stormtroopers. Admiral Akbar + Home One responding to the Borg from the same situation as the Enterprise E could be an interesting Gauntlet premise.

Any battlecruiser class or larger than 2 kilometers or so could just hyperspace into his smokes ship.
I would argue that there's a sixth ship, and it stands out for being much smaller and older than the other entries, while still being a capital ship: the Corsair, Naga Sadow's modified Deripphan-class Battleship. Now note that this ship had NO shields at all, but what it did have was a Sith device that was basically the Sun Crusher 5000 years before that thing was ever even conceived. If the commander of the Corsair can draw the MSD in close to a star and activate its star destroying weapon, the MSD would be obliterated. In a fight in deep space far away from any stars, however, the Corsair would've been destroyed in seconds.
I wonder what effectiveness a few world devastators would have on the mega star destroyer.
Little did you know when you made this,apparently any somewhat large ship with a hyperdrive could take out the massive MSD. Because....apparently no one ever thought to do that in the thousands of years they had hyperdrives in Star Wars.
But what about the Sun Crusher?

Comparing anything to the Sun Crusher is pointless. It's one of the few things I didn't miss when Legends became non-canon.
Oh HELL no, what Disney did to the franchise is a travesty, but let's be honest here, the Sun Crusher was simply too OP.
The Viscount Dreadnought also has a chance because it could ram it like the Raddus and could probably survive, due to the redundant shielding and the strong hulls Mon Calamari ships famously have.

A thought: At least one Abominor was known to have been captured and studied. Is it possible that Palpatine or one of his minions got the idea for the World Devastators by studying the Abominor?

A World Devastator could probably skirt around and kill it if it got in the rear arc just given how depressingly ineffective its guns were against basic frigates. You can't turn a thicc ass boi like that particularly fast without risking having the engines tear it in half.

Transformers specifically the autobots vs the Cthulhu mythos
Now we are going to exclude azathoth(for obvious reasons)
The autobots are not from the Michael bay universe (please god don't do that) let's use a sorta g1 universe now to be fair let's say the decepticons are either mostly destroyed or absorbed into the autobots
Now I know a lot of people don't like the use of generic cybertronian soldiers but it makes more sense to me than just regular drones
Also to be fair instead of the autobots just controlling cybertron, let say they control a large swath of galaxies or maybe just the Milky Way

A lot of people complain about the hyperspace ram, and say why it isn't used more often. Besides being costly and a suicide run noons would want to do, there is the fact that it would be nearly impossible to succeed with against a target smaller then the Supremacy. They tried to move, but couldn't because of their size and lack of mobility. A smaller ship would of gotten out of the way.
What about the Tarkin or the Eye of Palpatine? Silly as it is, I think the Suncrusher is also a contender.
Concerning the Abiminor it is speculated that they can be planet-sized and that the planet Ronyards is in fact a Abiminor.
You could do a thing where your patreons come up with a fleet and you take 2 of them and have them go head to head
The Conqueror was all but gutted for the superlaser, if I recall correctly. It made the thing a giant target, but it was semi-effective-ish.

Not Star Wars related but I think the Arcadia from Space Pirate Captain Harlock could be effective at doing some highly potential damage to Snokes super star destroyer, mainly because the ship runs on a dark matter engine and can regenerate after taking damage but also can take a real beating from enemy fire. Maybe check it out or give it ago since it's got an interesting past and lore to it.

Hey I love the vids and have an idea/question for one. How much of the new republic fleet would have been destroyed by star killer base/how many allies might the resistance have out their available to them?
If you include in suicide runs than any ship with a hyperdrive could take down any other ship depending on how hyperspace works what I'm talking about is Any ship with a hyperdrive could just ram into it at hyperspeed.

From a different perspective, a StealthX with a full complement of shadow bombs should be able to at least cripple it if not destroy it outright. By the same token, a ship equipped with a stygium cloaking device and a skilled pilot should also be able to do the trick.
How about a 5 v 5 of star wars? Like in Episode 4 A New Hope Heroes vs the Rogue One heroes.

if the conquerer becomes canon i'd expect it to be as powerful as the death star in a 'single reactor' shot (or whatever they said in Rogue One) - enough to annihilate a city and anything near it
which in ship vs ship terms would probably be; enough power to cripple your typical capital ship probably completely eviscerating a smaller one (like grievous' flagship from the opening sequence of Episode III.)
the conqueror was a heavily modified imperial 2 SD the dish is scaled down so its not going to be as powerful as the DS but in its trial firing run it was capable of blowing up planetoids and was noted to be able to crack continents supposedly hinting to be able to destroy underground rebel bases, so if it can blow asteroids up or rip the face off a moon, it can rip apart the MSD
