I agree with a lot of these picks, but I still think you're sleeping on Peep. The man had an incredible influence on the emo rap scene, and his mixture of trap beats with more traditional pop-punk and emo guitars was something that put him a cut above the others in the scene, and he's got more heart than a lot of emo rappers now (I mean, don't get me wrong, Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi have written some bangers, but I don't think they've written anything as good as "star shopping").
It sounds natural, with a bit of a punk edge, a lot like Sunny Day Real Estate, and I think the messy production only helped that, the same way it helped Lil Pump's debut (and, conversely, damaged his latest release).
And no, he's not a great lyricist, but that's kind of the point. Whereas X was trying to be deep and meaningful (friendly reminder that he called himself a genius), Lil Peep was writing about his day to day life-- the girls who didn't like him back, the drugs he was doing, and not in a way that screamed "I'm trying to be a revolutionary" so much as it screamed "I'm trying to process my own problems through this music".
Either way, I know this is just your opinion, and you're entitled to it. Keep up the good work, Melon.
This is facts right here. Lil Peep was a genius but his sound was simple, it wasn’t profound on the surface because it was so easily accessible, but in a way it’s still so deep because of how influential and interesting his sound was. Truly a legend bro 🙌

At first, I thought you were quite a boring reviewer. But now that I look into you, I see that you're a talented and knowledgeable man that deserves true respect. Which is why I'm subscribing right now.
There was only one song on Lil Peeps Hellboy mixtape that had scream vocals (Which were not even the main vocals they were ad libs) every other song was way more pop punk/emo influenced (it even features the ex vocalist from Tigers Jaw on the song Absolute In Doubt). Im not going to argue that Lil Peep's music is "good" by any stretch of the imagination (definitely a guilty pleasure listen) but its enjoyable especially if you enjoy catchy emo pop punk and "underground" southern rap. The way that Anthony described the mixtape was poor and actually makes me question if he even properly remembers listening to the album. It was pretty disappointing to not only see the mixtape labeled as one of the worst albums of 2016 but also the poor description had me upset as a Lil Peep fan. STILL LOVE YOU FANTANO!!!!

Only one thing: is it possible in the future for you to consider playing some samples of the songs/albums you mention during the time you talk about them in the background? When you would mention a track, I would have to close out your video and find the track, listen, find your video in my history and continue on. It would just be nice for a quite sample as you talk about it. That's my thought anyways

EP is basically a short album, stands for extended play. mixtape is like an album but usually consists of low quality music, used mostly for rap and are always free. they usually don't have actual cd versions and only can be found online.
John Harvey Mixtapes are projects that hip hop artist put out for free and don't sell. Sometimes for promotion for an album or just a way they can put out more projects in the year
An LP is a full length studio album that can be from 10 to 20 tracks long. You usually find LP's on shelves at stores.
An EP is a demo tape that is usually 5 to 8 tracks long. EP's aren't usually sold in stores but sold online. EP's are used to be heard by record labels so they can sign people.
A mixtape is a free compilation of songs that can't be sold unless you are signed under a label. A mixtape can be any length. A mixtape can also be any genre, but it's usually hip hop/rap

In the angelic 2 the core review before he starts listening to the album he said that he originally wanted to review lil peep's hellboy and i'm just imagining the alternate timeline where that was what he decided on and i'm sure it would've been a fun video but glad he decided for the former.
I love Lil Peep but tbh Hellboy had 2 good songs. And thats out of like 22.

yup. Beamerboy, White Wine, White Tee, Gym Class, I Crash U Crash, Star Shopping, and Nineteen are really good though. Him and Lil Tracy also have some of the best chemistry in rap imo.
Griff King I actually enjoy tracy alot more. peep is cool tho
End My Life the only song I like with Tracy alone is Pictures. They're both unique but flow together really well. PEEP definitely comes off as corny in a lot of songs though.

I was a little worried about watching this but I have to agree with most of these especially the ferg and lance skiiwalker albums, they had a few decent songs but really just fell so short

I'm two years late on this. I disagree with your assessment of the Lance Skiiiwalker album. I enjoyed it, and found the production (while not polished or complete) to be the more interesting part of it all. I do agree with you, though, that it's not coherent. But for a first listen (for me, anyways), I liked it.
