The chorus hit me exactly like Freefall did. The guitar work on the last chorus of those songs is just insane. Only Northlane can perfect transitioning their riffs to open chords for a full sounding experience.
I will say this right now. We Aussies know how to do metal. If Northlane doesn't take the world by storm and get Amity Afflicition level of success then i'm a fucking Dutch Astronaut.
Marcus just keeps getting better. This track has me excited for the new album. Alien was my favourite heavy album on repeat for months after it dropped. Keen to see how this one shapes up comparatively:)
Northlane is the only band who's consistently put out albums I have zero complaints on. 3 albums with Marcus, another on the way, and there isn't a single song I skip. They manage to bring something fresh to every time too. They do a great job at keeping their own sound, and keeping their music "distinctly Northlane" while also keeping each song different and unique. Take that information as you will
I love all the albums post Adrian's departure. Very different from that era though, those songs were more technical in terms of instrumental which got me into Northlane initially. I would love if they can bring back those technical, heavy riffs. The new songs are a banger too though.
this sounds new for Northlane. Progressive and melodic with these Jesse Cash Clean vibez. last album "Alien" was not my type! maybe Northlane hits with this album like ERRA last year? Progressive Metalcore is the future😚😚🤟
I really enjoyed this song. With Marcus being my favourite clean vocalists it's very hard for Northlane to go wrong on the vocals for me. As you said though, it is really nice to hear his uncleans featuring too. The main riff was really nice throughout. The only part that didn't hit just right was the breakdown part in the second verse which felt a bit underwhelming for me but doesn't impact my overall love for the song. I think overall Echo Chamber is my favourite still, followed by Plenty and then Clockwork last. Glad to see you're enjoying these though and hope you're just as hyped for the album as I am!
I think this is my favourite of the three (wasn't too delighted about Clockwork's inclusion) singles overall. I definitely agree that Echo Chamber has a really strong chorus, but overall this song feels a lot more complete and cohesive to me. It feels like many eras of Northlane wrapped into one - the electronic flavours of Alien, the riffwork of Mesmer, the vocal melodies of Node etc. I think the song doesn't push their sound forward into new territory, but just executes it very well. The chorus chord progression is really interesting and doesn't go how I'd expect it to, which adds a bit of needed spice to this particular track. Not too much to say otherwise apart from looking forward to hearing the rest of the album!! I wonder how adventurous the rest of the songs will be.

You Aussies definitely do. The Aussie Metalcore scene is unparalleled.
I still waiting on your Polaris.

I definitely agree, this is my favorite single so far from this album cycle! Great reaction my friend!
