This year I thought of bringing you exciting and fun Holidays! As a way to thank you for all the support you have given me, I’m posting a new video on the first 12 EVEN Dates of December (2,4,6,8…24) with a GIVEAWAY to go along each video.
For today’s video, I’m sharing with you my January 2022 Bullet Journal setup! I love doing monthly themes and I continuing the tradition! 😁 This month, I went for a Vintage Camera theme using Gouache paints! I’ve been using gouache in several setups now and I am very much getting the hang of it. I particularly love the matte finish though I still struggle because of my sweaty hands 😂 So for those of you who have been wanting to try watercolors or gouache in your journals, I hope this gives you inspiration!
And even though you are not into painting, I hope you will still enjoy watching my creations today!

It was so calming to look at. And I can’t choose just one part of this spread that I liked the most, I did like the whole spread! And if I did this spread I would do the content planner as an shop planner instead, like write down the viewers each day and do like a tracker maybe! Charizze! This set up was a dream come true for me! My birthday is in January, I’m passionate about photography and I love earthy colors! Seriously loved this theme it’s one of my favorite from you. You’ve done this in the past but I really like the Dutch door style for the mood tracker and goals. It’s a smart way to add some flare to the spread instead of just typical page. Do you have tips for layering watercolor in a journal? I’m still practicing journaling with water color and can’t get the hang of it!

I’m so glad this theme resonates with you ☺️ For layering watercolors, I make sure to let the first layer dry first before adding another layer to prevent bleeding or damaging the paper. I find that using a notebook with uncoated paper (absorbent paper) let’s the paint dry faster than coated paper. ☺️
@@CharizzeT I haven’t heard of uncoated and coated journals that’s super interesting. Thanks! I’ll have to research that more.
Yesss! The paper actually also plays a role with painting. The notebook I use from Notebook Therapy has uncoated paper. So it absorbs minimal to medium amount of water quickly. But if I have to do a traditional wet on wet painting technique or the use of a lot of water, I’ll have to use a watercolor paper because it will handle it better than the notebook - and will cause it to bleed 😁

This theme is gorgeous 😍 I love how you tied all the spreads together with the 5 little circles! And those camera drawings are so good and so pretty! My favorite spread of this set up has to be the Dutch door spread! I love how you blended in the Dutch door with the rest of the set up by adding the little paper cut outs.
To answer your questions, I love printed photos but I'm just so scared they're going to fade away eventually! So digital photos it is 😅

I have to compliment you on the paper you added to your cover page. normally I hate pages where people fill them with paper, tapes ect. I think most look as if they are garbaged up but this looks awsome. I might try it after watching this one. it blends in and dossen't look as if you are just trying to fill up the page.

Seriously love this theme! I want to try a vintage theme but I'm a little scared lol, I tend to stay away from muted colours. In fact, I have done a black, white and brown theme but ended up going in with gold, it was too flat and neutral for me 😏. My favourite spread has to be your weekly, aside from the yellow you used, the camera looks as though you could just pick it up! I'm a pictures in a photo album type of girl, nothing better than picking it up and looking through the years!

My favorite spread is probably the one with the calendar. I love how the sage green background of the days of the week looked. But overall, I love color scheme, because it’s very unique but it works so well. I love that there are books in the pages, too. 🥰

I love the whole vintage setup! the handmade coffee stained paper you added to the pages just makes it more original to the theme which is really creative! Not to mention the polaroids that add enough simplicity to each category. oh my god how are you so ahead in your bujo? i dont even have a notebook yet lmao!! i love using gouache as well, but to be honest i get so lazy when i think about painting in my bujo, seems like too much effort so i always end up using markers and doing something more simple. my favorite spread was definitely the weekly one but the cover page was also stunning!

the to do list is an absolute spread ever, even when you just hold that brush pen ,without using a ruler , the table is still looking aesthethic..im impressed , i always got stress out when the brush pen is not in a straight line and having diffrent thickness .but anyway, the notebook from notebook therapy lit so hard !
