If you wanted to study braiding / sew-ins / weaves what is the course called? Where I live colleges do courses but as far as I am aware there is no detailed braiding or teaching on how to do braids / extensions /weaves , sew in work , wig installations etc - it all seems to be Caucasian type hairdressing courses if that makes sense . Are students usually expected to study regular hairdressing ( washing /drying /cutting / style/colour etc ) before learning about braids /extensions / sew in / wig work ?

So start with your underhand video, dutch braid video, cornrow video and then cornrow with "extension"! Got it!!!

+Danielle Walton curly hair is doable, it's really hard to find a mannequin with kinky or could hair though, even the curly ones tend to be really expensive.

How do y'all keep it from tangling at the ends while you braid? I got a mess going over here and waisting a lot of it
toolovelyforyou10 you have to keep raking your hands through the hair to detangle as you braid otherwise you will have the tangled mess.

So I can feed-in but can't figure out how to position my fingers to do the knot at the top! For my daughter's curly hair I think the knot would be better since I need as much of her hair in the extensions as possible to prevent it from looking frizzy.

Oh my god is this video with very helpful like you don’t understand. I watched another lady’s video on how to do the goddess braids and I just cannot figure out how she had her fingers position to do them. These are regular braids but it will still help me to learn how to even add a Extensions to the hair.

+arya Raymond so, which part seems to be giving you the trouble on that side? The steps are typically the same on the opposite side.
shaping it, I don't really know how to explain it...let's just say it looks like two people doing different designs on the same head
+arya Raymond it sounds like you aren't gripping tight enough with your non-dominant hand. Try focusing a bit more on your non-dominant hand and see if that helps.
