Cool review dude,1 of the reviewers I've been looking forward to on this. As much as I would like to own Apollyon I know I will be frustrated and break him then be pissed off lol. He is pretty good but I just wish it was another 3rd party company that did Megs. I salute u for transforming him and totally awesome seeing all 3 Megatrons in 1 shot.
Man, am I ever glad they didn't just sculpt the orange caps on there and leave the end sealed! Would've totally ruined the look! I just love how well this guy complimented the MP10 in your photo at the end! It was like looking at a still from a rerun(not really, but the sentiment counts lol).
Kudos to you for transforming that! I have this I'm never transforming him. He looks so badass as robot mode tho! Keep up the great work!
I love my apollyon, its the perfect Megatron! It looks sick and it makes an amazing display with the other masterpieces!
I dont think MP will be able to top this one with their megatron V2....i just love it, the head sculpt is also amazing, i have absolutely nothing negative to say about it

I got mine today. It's like cartoon came to life.
Addtionally, you can take the Fusion Cannon apart and using some tweezers bend the contact points so that turning the knob leaves the cannon lit. I did that and now Megatron's cannon remains lit until I turn the knob again.

This is in my PoL and I am just waiting to click ship! I had to pick up the 3rd party accessory kit for MP-05 just so he could have something to lean on and not fall over on the top of my MP Decepticon Detolf...
You made some mistakes there:
-The orange plug at the black barrel/silencer CAN come off.
-The light on the cannon CAN stay lit. Maybe you broke the button when you open it up.

Hey dude, I got the plug for the silencer off by using a hair drier on it. I held it to the silencer for about 10-15 min about 8-10 inches from it. After that you can use some plyers on it and pull it out with little effort.
takara should be coming out with their masterpiece Megatron soon!!
Barrel extension. the "Silencer" is completely different.
Great review, SP. What's your recommendation for removing the right shoulder ball socket? I put mine on as well and it works pretty well, but like you said, when turning the arm that slot comes unhooked very easily. Problem is, getting that replacement socket on the joint was really tough, I'm afraid to break that entire socket just trying to get it off.

This is pretty gnarly man, except he has to many "gripes" but I am not much of a TF collector myself. I would probably be more into it if the awesome figures didn't cost me over 50 bucks on just one figure. I like collecting the little minicons though, so neat and affordable and usually found every where.
I don't know if its only on mine but on the left arm that holds the Canon the red part with the elbow is twisted toward the left side while the red part on the right arm is straight .
This Megatron is so sick, i love mine. Shoulder ball joints were a bitch to replace. Great review as always!
Man. Your Apollyon has a lot of weird things with it. Like the neck turning on it's own.
If you rotate the head backward, it's easier to grab when transforming it back to robot

Happy with it, however the left hand does not rotate all the way in. And I'm sure I'm putting all fingers and hand on the appropriate position before rotating. Therefore, it does not connect properly with the other arm and the gun body in gun mode. As a result, no 'seamless' effect, which is a bit disappointing. Have you any thoughts on that?
I just saw this today at Wal-Mart but it was just the figure and the scope for $40! Man, Like I said before I am not majorly into TF but I am going to get this guy. Help me in on some TF info Shart!

Dam I was like Wal Mart? Show me!! Lol I'm in Canada and only combiner wars are the stunticon cars and that jet and Optimus prime.
It's the "Transformers Generations Leader Class Megatron" and on the packaging it says "Combiner Wars" and they had them on sale for $20 a piece.

If you painted the ball in his shoulder with clear nail varnish would that stiffen up the joint enough to be useable? The replacement ball sockets; do they come in the box or do you need to contact the company to request them?

I've never like transformers and a real level but giant robots are badass.But the toys do look cool but I don't think I can get into them I worry about braking figures enough as is.I can't imagine getting figures that have little pieces like these.

i am very worried about it, their are so many tiny and thin armatures on this
that it looks very easy to break the whole figure.
Yo dog, I just started watching your review so I'm not sure if you ended up taking off the orange plug from the end of the flash suppressor. But I just put a screwdriver inside and slammed the protruding end on the concrete forcing the cap off. It popped right off since there was only a tiny bit of glue. I know a few people who've done it that way, I did it and mine came off easy and clean. You might wanna give it a try. - Peace
Donprezi WARNING: Mine had too much glue to use this method, and it started to stress the silencer. Your mileage may vary.

Dude , just grab a rag , an set of plumbers pliers . Wrap the rag around that shitty orange cap , then grab the pliers , an wrap them around the rag ( so you don't scratch nothing ) an twist that thing off. Easy as hell bud .
I regret passing by this figure sometime ago, huge regret.

The silver combiner wars Megatron is almost enough to not get apollyon... almost. Despite the fragile nature... I'd never transform him.

Seeing the bad quality of this guy I might be passing on scourge and cyclonus (andras and eligos) after all.
Obviously, this megatron is much cooler than takara's. His appearance is very stout looks like a strong leader. I don't really accept takara's thin megatron. So I wonder the 3rd party making things better than 1st party this time?

One thing that bothers me about the 3rd Party Masterpiece-style Megatron figures is their faces. They look too realistic and not really cartoonish. Especially the lippage. Why do they have lips?

I just bought the same toy and it's a pain in the ass to turn it into gun mode I too am going to keep it in robot form but I rather get punched in the face did the turn this thing back into gun mode just made my ass hurt

Not having a good experience with this toy. Missing the end muzzle; didn't come in the box, the on/ off on the plasma cannon is fused, and the tap will not click together properly to have a complete transformation. Beautiful in robot mode; and that's how it will stay.
Why not just paint the orange tip black on apollyon?
I think it's for people to know it's a fake gun and not the real thing, Us laws
On the extended barrel you can but on actual Megatron barrel its silver and would look of of place.

I love the details but I'm still iffy about third party transformers. For the price you pay I'd be incredibly angry if a part of it broke.
They're a lot cheaper than MP-36 Megatron and look a lot better in gun mode. MP-36 looks incredibly broken in gun mode...the robot mode is the only reason to own him. The 3rd party masterpiece figures are generally a 1/3 of the price you pay for MP-36 and much more worth it.
