- Quick review of the @Ironman4x4America Awning Room attached to Maxi-Trac aka Napa Awning.
It has alot of great features, and is one of my favorite pieces of my camp kit. It's roomy, stable, and built well. Stay tuned for more videos with me using it this fall/winter.

I have the same anung room. Love it the only thing I wish it had and us because I live in washington and have some pretty good winters is to have a stove jack hole on one of the side walls so I can put a stove I there for winter camping.

I've been trying to think of ways to modify it or ways to allow the use of a wood stove inside.
If you have any ideas let me know. The propane heater works fine but the condensation is annoying.
I'm thinking of a diesel heater but then you have to transport fuel.
Ideally the ability to use a small wood stove would be my choice.
@txrunroutdoors4048 I've heard of people making kits, so then you can cut into a tent or one of these walls to make it a stove jack. I've honestly been thinking of buying a kit and taking it into an upholstery shop so they can do it.

My experience with Ironman products has been good so far.
Does the room fit to frontrunner awning?
It should fit any awning that is 8'x8' or 2500mm x 2500mm, and has the sail tracks that allow the rooms mounted point to slide in.
The "sail tracks" are the aluminum tracks or grooves on the awnings base.
I talk about this at the 3:00 mark of the video.
What's the size of your awning and room?
The awning is 8'x8', and so is the awning room.
They make a 6.5' also.
I've been watching their site like a hawk to get the awning / room combo. Curious, once the floor is installed, can you store it as one unit or do you have to remove the floor to put it away?
It should be fine to leave the floor attached while packing it up.
I like unzipping it so that I can flip it over and dump out any dirt, sand, or any other debris that occurs while camping.
When installing the floor line up the orange tab on the floor to the corresponding orange tab on the room wall.
The storage bag has generous room, so it packs in there easy even if you don't roll it up exactly how it came.

How is it holding up for you? How many times have you used the awning and room?
I've used the room about 5 or 6 times, and plan on using it a ton more.
I've used the awning dozens of times.
It is tough so not worried about it failing on me.
If you're not concerned about your sleep system being attached to your vehicle this is a really good option.
If you plan on camping somewhere, that might require you to park away from camp, it's obviously not a good choice.
I plan on using it alot this fall.
I like that its spacious and all the other details I described in the video.
I've used it in the cold down to 27 degrees Fahrenheit with a Buddy Propane heater and it worked out well.
It will collect condensation so be aware of that.
For the price, especially when they go on sale, it has been a good purchase for me.
One more thing to consider is when it's packed, it takes up alot of space. I'd estimate it's about 20 inches wide and 32 inches tall when packed.
Doesn't sound like much but when packed out for an extended camp session in my rig, room gets tight.

@christinehammack7905 it's not a bad idea to start with the awning and maybe build off of that.
The NAPA awnings used to be 100 dollars, now they're like 150. I'd act fast lol.
I believe Ironman 4x4 has 25% off right now. That's where I got the awning room.
I hope it wall works out for you. The awning comes in handy alot for shade and sure beats packing a canopy inside your vehicle.
@@txrunroutdoors when its on sale....what is the sale price for the awning and room? I dont see a sale right now, but they have a coupon code for the awning/room combo for 373.00. How well does it hold up to wind and rain/storms? I like the concept!
That seems like a good price. I paid 100 for my awning, and 250 for the room.
It's held up well. I've been in light to medium rain with moderate winds no problem.
Down to the 20's Fahrenheit with a Buddy heater and was warm.
Just let it air out and dry when you get home so it doesn't mold.
Do you know if the Ironman 4x4 room would work with the ARB 2500x2500 awning?
It appears to mount the same way.
The front and back of the awning room have edge that essentially slides through a track on the aluminum base attached to your vehicle and the aluminum rail that extends on the front of the awning.
Then it just clips to the frame and poles.
I detailed this in the video. As long as the ARB awning has the same "sail tracks" you're good.
I don't know, you could check the dimensions of both and see if they are the same
