I have the black 3rd gen you see here, a 2016 Trail Edition, and a 2013 Limited. I love them all for different reasons, but I like my 3rd gen the best.

Exactly. I like silicone amd don't mind rigid plastics, but the pricing is outrageous because there's no competition. This thing should cost 60 bucks tops. I will say however, that I sent them an email about the rough cuts and plastic shavings I mentioned in the video. They sent me a new unit for free immidiately. K and N owns airaid now BTW. Great customer service.

You would have to check with your local authority on cargo requirements. However, if your asking about it in terms of firearms, I don't EVER have weapons in that box. It's just for recovery gear and extra tent poles, ETC.

@@Joseph_redmond the awning came with L brackets. I secured those to my roof rack.

I actually built my own roof rack out of uni-strut. The roof rack I built attached to the factory rails. Then the awning attaches to the roof rack using the supplied L-brackets. It's super secure.

Well, it seems like we are paying more and getting less these days unfortunately. Now that I've had it on for a while now, I'll say I do like it overall and it does sound cool lol. But, yea overpriced for sure. I paid slightly more for a cobb short ram intake with the filter and all on my mazdaspeed 3, and the quality was league's ahead. I don't regret the purchase though.

I like how low profile there are. Since this video I've actually mounted my recovery boards to the Aapche case, and it's still fairly low profile. They survived last summer Texas heat. We will see if they can last this summer.

@miketran3513 I'm not a huge fan of this style of quick connection. It hasn't really given me any problems, but having to slide the coupler to release tension seems like it could be a future failure point

You'll be surprised how easy they are to find. I'm still using this on my roof rack and it's been awesome.

I have not, but my friends have. It's a little unclear whether or not it's allowed. I haven't seen any signs prohibiting it, but I haven't been since I recorded this. I plan on going very soon, because they stock it with trout this time of the year. There's a camp grounds right across the river called Dos Rios where you can pay for a camp spot.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. It was a legitimate question. It says Buckshot vs Rattlesnake, what were you expecting? I personally don't like to see people hunt predatory mammals. Therefore, when I see a title like "Buckshot versus Bear," I decide NOT to watch that particular video. I'm in Texas. It's definitely NOT illegal here.

Thanks for watching. I used an angle grinder with a standard cutting disc. Sawzall is too violent and would probably break it. Cutting disc went through it very controlled. This system has worked so well for me. I just used it while cactus hunting to wash insects/dirt off the barrel cactus I dug up, before putting them in my truck.

@dr.christophergroves2116 awesome. If you got the same pump make sure you seat the "quick connect" all the way before turning the pump on

@dr.christophergroves2116 another thing I did to prevent leaks was applied a thin coat of thread sealant (commonly referred to as pipe dope) on the hose before securing the quick connect fitting on it. On one of the fitting it had a real slow leak. The pipe dope fixed it. No leaks since.
