Julia Fischer was on fire. This is one of the best performances of Brahms's Violin Concerto. Intense, mysterious, powerful, dramatic, beautiful and melancholic! Brava!
I have heard other violonists. But Julia Fischer has such a brilliant technique, that you have the feeling the first time to understand Brahms. Or in other words: If you have not heard the D concert with Julia Fischer, you have never heard it really... What a great job!
Fantastic!
Hard to believe this was almost 20 years ago. She was fantastic here.
Epic solo entrance : 2:44
(Tbh it's definitely worth it to watch the whole performance :p)

very pretty...
Great as
Her best Brahms on utube, might have something to do with Thomas's fabulous direction. IMHO, Fischer has the best Brahms, Jansen the best Tchaikovsky, Steinbacher the best Beethoven, and Suwanai the best Sibelius.

Hadelich’s Brahms beats this🎻
Julia and Augustin are both phenomenal and I believe they are good friends :). I love them both. This version by Julia somehow is closer to my heart.
No way.
