There are a lot of reasons people might not. Diabetes, heart disease, diseases that cause inflammation. I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia which cause severe inflammation and pain, made worse if I eat too much sugar, so I don't tend to drink a lot of sugar water. I do have some, mind you, but we don't drink very much in this family as a habit. Normal people can have it. It's better than soda pop.
@@luckyrobinshomestead Thanks. I only asked because it sounded like there was a reservation on it being consumable. I do understand the whole sugar thing. Seems like there might be some good stuff in the "juice", if not for the sugar. Thanks.
Most people seem to use quarts. I do both pints and quarts. My mother cans a lot in half-pints, because she does it just for herself. Half-pints use the same time as pints. I'll be canning carrots in pints today so will have a video of it later this week.
Thank you! Love Italian Plums.
Robin this is awesome.
Thanks.
background noise is reallllllly annoying
sounds like a fan is on...
Thank you super easy!
Why would you NOT eat/drink the syrup when you open a jar?

this is great! but . . . what do you with canned plums? this is new to me. I am adding this to my to can next list. :)
I just eat them mostly. But you can make preserves with them later when you have more time, plum butter, plum sauce, plum pudding, plum pie, etc.
Plum cobbler! My favorite
Been searching for someone who jars in pints!
