- Today, I show you just how durable the modified geometry blades from Pegas really are by cutting a 2" thick board into a bone shape for an order that I have on.

Wow at that speed in 2" thats Impressive cutting.
These blades really are a great blade. I should use a #5 or #7 for this thickness but they cut so much slower and the blade life honestly isn't much different
@@philscraftcorner I`ve just bought a pkt of the 3R and a pkt of the 7R and I`ll see how I like them. I bought them sursurprisingly very cheap though , I hope that doesn`t reflect on anything , as I normally only buy Olsen precision ground blades ,and they are twice the price of the Pegas blades.
@tommytitmouse I haven't tried the Olsen ones. Let me know how you get on. I'm always interested in comparing new things
@@tommytitmouse I've been disappointed with the Olson blades and found it almost impossible to cut 30mm pine even with a 12R . How did you go with the Pegas blades Tommy ?
If you still have the original blade holders on that machine I would recommend to upgrade to the Pegas ones, there's a reason Axminster sells them with them installed now. They make a world of difference.
I ended up getting a completely new machine around a year ago. This one blew up on me 😅. The new blade clamps really do make a huge difference
Thank you for sharing, really very helpful. Just what I was looking for.😢😊
I'm glad you found it helpful
What type of wood was this please?
This was a 6x2 tanalised pine board
How high do you set your scroll saw?
Like speed setting? I run mine at full speed almost all of the time
