Here’s an alternate, in key of A (A,D, & E, using a pick): in each of the three chords, you will use 3 successive strings. Picking the strings in the same sequence that you (Steve) used here. A chord: The A will anchor on the open A string, with a second A on the 7th fret of the D string, and a bD on the 6th fret of the G string. D chord: The D will anchor on the open D string with its octave D on the 7th fret of the G string, and a big on the 7th fret of the B string. E chord: Open E string, octave E using 7th fret of the A string, and B on the 9th fret of the A string
