    Yes sir. Right around 2 years. Mine just did the same thing. I was going to pick up the rebuild kit this week, but I think I need to take another look at the end of the rotor. Thanks for the video.

    One year I replaced with ceramic bearing last 3 year's. It depends on how and where we drive . I never drive on wet conditions snow mud ect.

    I've had some success repairing the rotor windings by removing and wrapping the rotor with Kevlar string with a fine coat if epoxy on string. Then replace those sloppy bearings. Its not 100% perfect, but if you can use a balancer of somekind might be pretty damn close . Trial and error!

    Gool rc brushless bearings started making noise after one of many wet and dirty bash sessions. Caught it before motor was damaged. Lasted a year of heavy use.

      Yea that’s pretty good, they all wear out, better off changing them before they go bad,

    The bearings went in our Traxxas motor at the bottom the can leaving the outer bearing casing stuck in there, we could not get it out. Eventually we drilled through the bottom end of the can and pushed out the bearing case, my plan now is to use two sets of bearings to hold in the other. I’ll have to do a video of it, it might be interesting to see what happens. It will be over on our rc channel called RC Havoc UK.

      Sounds interesting, I would think it would work, great idea too! Those bearings really get stuck in there!!

    Literally same thing happened to me on my THIRD RUN with my brand new e revo 2.0…. 2200kv motor shot just like that. $110 out the window. Gonna hear it down bc when I went to look at it after run it was extremely hot and smelled horrible.

    My Arrma 3s bearing exploded in motor. The armature and inside can in packed with dirt. Should I spray contact cleaner inside and on armature to clean it? Is that safe? I’ve read I should block unused motor holes etc to stop dirt.

    Had this happen to my XRT after 2 months.

    • @zoologer
      @zoologer 2 місяці тому

      Same here. XRT and X-Maxx motors are so fragile, that you can't even make this bearings replacement on time. Now I have 3rd motor (since January 2024) and yesterday hybrid ceramic bearings arrived - will replace stock ones and see if it helps this ridiculously short motor life.

      @@rcaction7428 im not saying they all brake but yes if no maintenance is done, it will brake fast, spacially if it gets water.
      You must seal the rear motor at first. The rear bearing is expose and take a lots off dust and when i will fail, it will get desalign and the magnet will rubb against the can and its over.
      Since I put a small piece of tape on the motor to seal the bearing, and maintenace everry few months, no problem at all since then.

    I would say like under 30hrs got it at the end of the last summer i bet iver only took it out 10 or 15 times if that, but its not as bad as your just a bit frayed the front bearing went just like yours trying my hardest to get the bearing sleeve out to no avail its like 150 in canada for a new motor ffs

    Happened to my motor just recently, lost a couple of screws holding the rear cap in place and it must have misaligned the rotor, rotor looks just like yours. I did try to epoxy the magnets in place which seem to work to a certain rpm but its basically the a smoke machine now 😂

    • @rcaction7428
