I just watched the video and took my Trailmaster Pro 2700 apart to clean it. With the exception of a small amount of mud it looked great. I cleaned it with a soft toothbrush and soapy water, rinsed and waiting for it to completely dry to relube bearings and reassemble it. Great motor, great video thank you sir.
As always , Solid Vid John 👌👌, Still in love with my puller pro 2200 😎🤘 Had no idea you sold the ends with bearings pre pressed😶 , that's Very hand to know😀 . Keep up the good work😎😎. Cheers, Matt
If my end bell doesn't make that noise when I pop it off should I use a longer screwdriver?? I would've liked some tighter closeups, but this is good info, JR, thanks. I'm still breaking in my first BL motor but this is bookmarked :)
I like this vide. It gives me confidence to have a go. I have got a Hobbywing motor G3R 13.5 Turn in particular. I am just wondering if you have any information about this particular motor. Before I go ahead and clean it for the first time. I am just a bit nervous about it.
Hey quick question, my motor has three Phillips screws as well in the back and I have snapped two bits off in them already. I was able to get the bits of bit out of the screw but is there a trick to loosening those screws so I don’t snap another tip? I hope this makes sense thank you
i TOOK MY 10AMP POLISHER APART, oops, lol, and I can't get the rotor back in. It needs to sit in the center ring at the bottom, but the magnet is so strong, I can't get it passed. it's about 6 inches long.... Any tips? ty
Dont know if you will see this but I have a 3650 3900kv that snapped the shaft right behind the pinion first run. Less than two minutes on this motor! Any hope of me rebuilding?
I need help Disassembling a castle 6900 KV cm36s BL motor I can’t get the ends off and I don’t want to damage anything trying to replace center shaft Any help would be appreciated

I just did. Also, going to order up some spare parts for my 3500KV puller pro.
Thanks so much! Doing bearings and cleaning in used trail master that saw way to much water in a past life!
Cool Casio watch. I used to have a calculator watch when I was young in the 80’s.
I'm loving the way soft foam pack stuffs between the shaft and magnetic pads using a flick gesture to wipe out iron filings.
this was super informative on cleaning a brushless motor, awesome!

Yup! Closeups would be quite helpful.
noted for next time. Two cameras!
Thanks for this video, John. Could you make a vid about ESCs in general. I’ve never fully understood why quality ESCs are so pricey. Thanks again!
I'll put it on the list
Next one should be cutting the comm and doing a brushed rebuild. :D Old school FTW! lol
Got an older one. Want more? ua-cam.com/video/9y-e1gq_YS0/v-deo.html

Do you still rebuild motors? If so I have a redcat kaiju motor that won't turn.

Boop!
what is the screw size for the castle slate motors end caps, i somehow cant get them out .
pretty sure its 1.5mm.
Thanks stabbed my hand with a screw driver had to go hospital to get it removed and glued.
So don’t use motor spray??
I wish the camera was tight on the motor . Seeing the entire background, although lit well, was useless to see…
Lol what if you forget which side the washers go on? Lol
Can’t see anything you’re doing.
2:34 not close enough? Any direct feedback on improvements for future vids? We now shoot with an overhead cam to get better "hand" shots.
i am a sea Cucumber how dare you assume my Genders... I am Offended !!
Starting off the video by literally assuming everyone’s gender... Like your style 😂
I get to see the mix on the back end. 96.7% male
HolmesHobbies - haha I know you actually have the numbers I was just kinda taking a jab at over enthusiastic social justice warriors.
Can you make different size drops with oil? I can only get 1 size
Mostly men lol
