I shit you not, I wish every guide was like this. What are the base mechanics, what do different buffs do and their context, and just a run through once you know it all. Fantastic.
Aztecross with a 45 minute "Guide" (I'm a fan, but just no), Fallout with approx 15 mins is better... but a 5min guide with clear, concise on screen prompts even me as a crayon enjoyer main can follow? Hell yes. Nice revision guide / cheat sheet for LFG-ing "KWTD" as well, haha. Love this style!
The fact that i had to scroll past 6 videos, 4 of which were "how to solo flawless vespers host" shows just how little people want to help beginners Thank you for being so helpful my guy👍
You’re welcome! Spreading these to clanmates and LFGs means it’ll show up higher in the searches 👀 But yeah, there’s a real dearth of content aimed at raising the skill floor for the game. It’s all stuff for people hyper fixated on the meta. I really wanna get more blueberries and casuals into the fun stuff.
Three people, three encounters, two days was honestly such a nice and (relatively) accessible way to do a contest mode “raid” for me and my friends (of which there’s only 3 of us) to push our limits and see what we’re really capable of. Getting through Activation with no guild whatsoever was one of our proudest moments.
That’s awesome! I love contest mode, even though I’m never fully prepared for it 😂 we locked in second encounter but just did not have the damage checks. No regrets though!
Because longer videos = more ad revenue. Working for bigger folks in this community I was told explicitly to pad out scripts to get them over 8 minutes. Like, that’s their prerogative, nothing wrong with chasing the money, but that’s why.
Great guides man, really useful and concise. A couple times i had to rewind to let the wording sink in, but youve got everything abaolutely right which is hard to do in such a short time frame. Glad the algorithm is catching you!
Bruh, my brain is so fried when I’m making these - I can’t pass contest damage checks, I can’t research it, finding LFGs, re-recording shit, editing for 8 hours - then when I go to proofread them before posting? I’m like… I’m so out of it that I worry NOBODY will understand. But yeah, the wording is so careful and concise that anybody should be able to pause, skip, slow, rewind; I’m glad it worked for you!
Great guide, thank you. I think once people master the mechanics this will be the same as other dungeons in a few weeks time. I managed a clear on normal mode today, with randoms, no mic (used text chat) so it is doable. Took a few hours though.
I spent like 6-7 hours on contest, but didn’t have the DPS for Raneiks. Got the clear yesterday, and it’s fun! Damage checks aren’t as bad as Ghosts, thankfully. I mostly worry about these going into the same playlists as other activities though, because even on normal you really do need to perform well and have meta gear. There’s no bumbling through this like Shattered Throne.
That’s what motivated me to start this stuff. Getting my clan to run Vow was a pain because nobody wanted to spend over an hour preparing to spend 3 hours playing. Turns out, a few thousand people agree 😂 my longest guide is 8 minutes… your move, Rick. But Forreal, this dungeon is so detail dense I had to cut a lot out. I don’t cover fail states and I really skimp over enemy attacks. It’s tough!
I don’t like how this dungeon feels like a raid. This is way too many steps for a dungeon and it takes the uniqueness out of dungeons. I don’t like the direction they’re headed. Warlords ruin was perfect though, mechanics not too demanding, boss HP’s weren’t ridiculously high and didn’t move a whole ton. This is how a dungeon should be
I agree in that I prefer Warlord’s Ruin as a dungeon, particularly because of boss health, but I don’t find this MUCH more complex. I really enjoy Dungeons as mini-Raids, mostly because Raiding is great but hard to organize. In terms of steps, just count the bullet points in this guide versus Warlord versus this - this ABSOLUTELY has more steps. However, Warlord’s combat is much tougher on the whole with tankier adds and minibosses that need to be managed. I’d say Vesper and Warlord are just as difficult as each other at base, but this is geared more towards mechanics. Different flavors! I just happen to like them both.
I would actually buy VH's dungeon key if it felt more accessible. Mechanic-heavy content that 99% of players can only beat with two other dedicated players just makes me wish they'd add a "Normal" mode to dungeons that strips out some wipe mechanics, scales down add damage, and only drops armor. As a former raider-turned-casual, I genuinely wouldn't mind if it felt like I was paying $20 for an armor delivery system in a neat environment at GM or Master difficulty.
It was a lot of fun! Not as spongy as Ghosts of the Deep, great follow-up on Deep Stone Crypt, mechanics that aren’t too hard to master. Unless you meant my video, then :(
I guess we all are allowed our opinions, but I thought they did a smashing job on the dungeon! Or if you meant the guide is awful, then you aren’t allowed an opinion 😅
I shit you not, I wish every guide was like this. What are the base mechanics, what do different buffs do and their context, and just a run through once you know it all. Fantastic.
Good news, I’ve got one for every raid and dungeon! Glad this worked for you 🖖🏻
Bro is easily the best guide maker for Destiny. He really deserves more subs than he has.

This is by far the best guide for this dungeon ever. You should do all dungeons/raids!
Already did 👍

Why does every content creator feel like their guide needs to be 40+ minutes long? This is infinitely times better. Thank you so much.
Because longer videos = more ad revenue.

Gotta make guides long because their own manhoods are so short

This deserves way more views, keep up the great work man
I say this as this character was my fav in yhe trilogy. You give off Mordin from mass effect vibes and i cant love thet enough

Thank you for your service guardian.
Love these speedy guides!
best raid/dungeon guide on youtube fr fr
Thank you man. That was a good guide. Short and to the point.
My favourite 5 minute guide does it again.
Best guides on YT. GGs.
This is probably my new favorite dungeon, the dsc vibe really sold the deal for me
Awesome guide as always guardian! My friend group appreciates you greatly
fantastic guide, easy and fast.
You make the best guides.
Nice work!
Bro you are the best to explain
Already spent a good 10 hours in the dungeon but I’m still watching this anyways
Great TLDR as usual but the clone that drops the nuke during the final encounter damage phase isn't random. The clone glows white.
Ahhhh thank you!
Best guide as alwayssss
Crazy how Kackis makes the same video in 40 mins

@@cketch amen, earned my sub.
you don't have to watch where the final boss shifts. there will be red flashing lights near the shafts you need to drop down.
Guides goat
god i wish i wouldve found thiese quick guides earlier
I need friends, im new, i complete how much i can misions in pve contracts but i need new exotic items to unlock, and i cant alone
I’m doing Sherpa streams, starting a discord and doing luck in LFG servers!
Finding luck **
So be a Titan got it
Basically 🫠
The final boss took me as long as most of root of nightmares. Way too much hp bro
Thundercraah, nova bomb, golden gun, leviathan’s breath, easy breezy 3-phase on normal. Not an optimized team at all!
Im either getting too old or these are getting too convoluted...
They are getting more complex, for sure.
I think they’re also getting more fun!

The final boss needs more health. This is a dungeon not a raid.
Hurr
this looks awful
