- Hi guys, this one is a bit more frustrating than the shadowblood queen fight but hopefully this will give you some tips on getting through it.
It is heavily RNG based compared to other fights but the deck build seems to work fairly well as long as you keep certain cards for later.

RNG vomits on my dreams. I got poor cards. Yet somehow I passed this survival challenge. I'm just glad Square Enix isn't insane enough to force you to get 100 points for the trophy. Thank you very much for this guide!

Yeah there's a lot of minigames which didn't need to be as hard as this lol. I loved queen's blood but didn't like these challenges. You are welcome dude!
They started pissing since they returned the gym mini games.
@@fenrir_Lokison9I agree and the only reason those were harder this time around was because the haptic controllers. It wore out my fingers faster than the old challenges on the ps4 (and ps5 port.) They definitely did way too many mini games this time around which extended the length of the game than it needed. Hopefully the 3rd part reduces it down and focuses more on the story.
Agreed. I fucking hate having to learn these useless mini-games just get the Platinum trophy.

Had tremendous amount of trouble trying to tackle this but your strat helped me out so much! It took me a few tries but each time I was getting closer and closer. Second to the last time I ended up with a tie. But with a little bit of good luck with RNG going in my favour, I ended up with a victory! Thanks a bunch!
This deck and strategy was beyond helpful, I was dreading doing this match, but was able pull it off first try 97-57 thanks to all the tips and the RNG gods!

The physical pain this caused me... it took a few rounds, and I was missing one of the cards you recommended, but your strat helped so much. You deserve a sainthood or equivalent.

Haha amazing dude glad I could help. That mini game is a nightmare literally lol. I loved queen's blood but this last challenge was annoying.
There’s a cheese method going all in on round 3 and getting 120ish points with your full 15 deck. A little of RNG required in terms of what the ai plays but the setup is extremely consistent because you draw your full deck by round 3, and round 3 has a wall of chests protecting you
You basically run 2 tonberries, 2 skeeskee, 1 mindflayer, all the token generating cards, a chocobo racer and tifa. You’ll have all 15 in your deck on round 3 and if you do the full combo right, you’ll get 130 ish points. And completely surrendering round 1, 2 and 5 (apart from ditching any cactuar cards you have), the ai normally gets around 100 points.
What do you mean token generating cards? Is there video or Reddit thread covering this method you’re referring to? I’ve already beat it but I would like to get gold/ 100 point win & that method sounds interesting.
@@Modioman69I think they mean cards like heatseeker, mandragora, Moogle trio, and j-squad. Cards that create other cards in your hand or battlefield, aka tokens (since they were generated by an effect)

Either I'm doing something wrong or RNG is really screwing me over because whatever I try in round 3 they always play the cactuar that takes over the spots on my side of the chests 😅

Whew! Thanks for this. I was so over all this bullshit. My RNG was pretty shit, but I managed to get a final card play that completely turned the tables in my favor and got me to 116. Aside from a ton of resets for a better starting hand, managed to get it on my second full run

Got it my first try! Went into the last round with 91 points and only got 2 points the last round. Lucked out, held onto the emerald queen the whole time.

I love Queen's Blood, think its a fascinating card game but a few of the Golden Saucer challenges were driving me nuts and this helped me get through Nightmare in one go so thank you for the guide!

Woooo nice, thankfully it's the last queen's blood thing you need to do lol. Just all the other super hard tasks to do now including the combat trials.
I'm struggling with just the Boot Camp lol, it seems to come down to RNG, at least for me, can be very frustrating

I won! 88-60. Dude you have no idea how many times I rewatched this video. I'd try and get the same deck as you and follow along, placing my cards wherever you did, and then by Round 4 or 5 the enemy AI would go all out and I'd lose, so I'd restart the round and restart your video... But I finally won, and I got the trophy for 5 Star Hotel (I wasn't aiming for 7) THANKS SO MUCH!
I wouldn't recommend going for the 7 star hotel trophy lol. It's 100% not worth it the VR missions almost made me go bald 😂 happy you managed to get past this though it can be so annoying.
Thanks for this guide. I was having trouble with the challenge even with the guide, but i switched jabberwock to a second chimera and got it on my first try.
I can't believe it, I won first try! Thank you! Won with 108 vs 83 points. I had mostly different cards in my last round, no Chimera and no Rictus. I had to improvise here but I already amassed over 80 points in the first four rounds so everything turned out well in the end!

I comment cuz this was very stupidly funny.
After rerolling the cards for 10-15 minutes to get a good starting hand, and following the guide for another 10-15 minutes, I reached the final round.
Instead of placing the Shadowblood Queen, I placed a cactuar, and lost the challenge by 5 points.

For some reason I didn’t have Odin or Special Ops so substituted them. It looked like I was going to lose but completely dominated the final round using the three cards you mentioned and won.
Yeah those 3 cards are OP. Odin can be bought from the card guy outside kalm btw same with all the summon cards. But those cards just own the game due to their ability.
First attempt with this method thank you very much.. I was quite a way behind in round 4 and almost restarted. But I pressed on and managed to get some really lucky blocks in to protect lots of empty powered up saces and Shiva came in clutch for me. Keep at it folks
FYI, Shiva doesn't spawn random ice cards, points are based on the rank of the square, 2 4 and 6 for rank 1 2 and 3 respectively
And also, carrying too many cards into round 5 is kinda pointless since chances are you won't be able to play it, so might as well use it to rack more points from previous rounds

That’s basically what I did and ended with 122 points. Blessed RNG.
I wish you showed the actual card by card play instead of jumping to the end cause I tried placing the cards that I had (that were the same as yours) in the same spots, but because you just showed the end result I had to put them in whatever order I thought best... which wasn't best cause they managed to take over a card spot preventing me from playing out the rest. and so they got a 20 point lead in that round alone 😆 and the round after that (Round 4) they managed to take up all of the enemy spots after which (since I couldn't play) they added the +10 on two rows. so the idea of passing and letting Shiva (where is Shiva coming from anyway?) secure the spots was null and void. I don't have Odin, but hoping the rest of the deck works for me. Just gotta keep it at it and hope RNG helps!

Thanks, this deck works perfectly, i won this challenge in a couple of attempts, took less than one hour in the end. My final score 111 - 54 ... won by a landslide 🤣
Awesome vid! Just one correction: Shiva's Ice Cards are not random. They'll be worth 2 points on lvl1ally squares, 4 points on lvl2 ally squares, and 6 for lvl3 ally squares. Cheers!!
(I've won on 1st attempt with my own stinky deck, and A LOT OF LUCK - arrived at Round 5 only with 1 Gigantuar Card, and still won 😂😂😂. I've posted in YT with a private link so I can watch it again in times I feel unlucky at life 😂😂😂)

Shiva's Diamond Dust cards that fill up the board are NOT random. The card has 2 power for every pin you the player has on the square. So single pin gives 2, double pin gives 4 and triple pin gives 6.
Yeah a lot of people filled me in on that lol. I'm surprised I didn't see that from all the times I used to use her in my deck. Me just being dumb I assume lol

@@Solestro Really? That's good. I won with this strat but never got a rictus and accidentally used chimera on a previous round. Got lucky though. Ended up winning with 80 even though I lost pretty bad on the final round because I had so many points from the previous rounds. Probably still won't be able to finish the 7- star because of 3D battler sephi and the 5th piano song.
@xenosaga8436 you can pause the game during the 3D Sephi brawler and me and my girlfriend did the piano song together, one hand from each of us on the controller.

What helped me in the last round was saving my chadley card to replace my shadowblood queen at the end to get my top and lower rows a bunch of points

@@Solestro i wanted to go for the platinum so i did every hard mode mini game and got the highest ranking but instead of feeling accomplished i felt exhausted and have just abandoned it. Its a shame because the battle sim hard mode Gilgamesh looks like it would be so much fun on its own but they had to put it in the most exhausting and soul destroying looking gauntlet ive ever seen. I miss the days when i was worried about facing Weiss after completing Intermission lol
@@MrDanfonzy yeah that's kinda how I feel ATM, I'm so close to the platinum but those last VR missions are ridiculous for no reason. Takes like an hour to get through it and if you die it's all the way back to the start.. that's all I need to do for the plat basically but I know how you feel. If I figure out a nice easy way il post a video lol.
@Solestro I had 54 trophies in the bag before I gave up. I was going 11 curios away from 7 star hotel and was going to get around to the 300% stagger trophy. I figured I'd just do it on a hard mode playthrough. But I've just given it up lol I'm going to wait for the hard-core gamers like you to discover the cheese for the brutal and legendary sims lol
@@MrDanfonzy haha I don't blame you for giving up the amount of grinding in this game is insane and some of the challenges are just ridiculous. Il be making some more guides tomorrow so hopefully some will help you 😁. I feel like they put way too much grind into this one in the late game. Can't imagine what part 3 is gonna be like at this rate 😭
I just focused on winning all 3 lanes, the first 4 rounds. Entering the 5th round i had 111 points to 0. They cant acore that many points so you just win

Took a while but 103-88. I put in Tifa and Chocobo jockey for a couple of nice swing lanes. EXCELLENT tactics sir!
Built your deck and restarted the challenge until I had Odin and Dio then followed your video as best I could with what cards I got. Got Shadow Queen in the third round and used in fifth. Played all three in the final and it went almost like yours. I was all nerves as the rows were tallied but I won by 20. Definitely not doing this again. I love ff7 and that's why I want to achieve the platinum trophy to show my love for the game. But rebirth has just too many minigames. Some are fun like the chocobo races and space shooter while others are just too difficult such as the sit-up challenge and the head case intel sim. As for the queen's blood game I'm just thankful I'm done with it.
All I did was play all the cards that give me as many points as possible. Got to the final round with 100+ points and the bloodwitch. Making it impossible for the computer to pass me only having only 20.

Trully a life saver guis. This and the Blood Queen are completely unfair, they aren’t clearly not following the rules by having way more cards than us, plus they are using countless copies of legendary cards … but anyway, thanks to you guide this was a complete breeze, got it on my first try using your strategy! Tip for other: the deck in this video isn’t the best, but has some good takeaways:
-Use dio round 1
-Use odin round 2
-Use Shadowblood queen, rictus, and chimera in round 5
otherwise i recommend adding choco jockey and tifa to your deck and use them in the earlier rounds to gain extra points.
At around 5:30 I believe you got the Mythril Golem card mixed up, since it doesn't have any abilities, only a lot of power. Also, in Round 4 with the Polygonal Shiva card, the positions that she makes into icicles do not receive random numbers, from memory I believe that squares with 1 peg get icicles with 2 power, 2 pegs get 4 power, and 3 pegs get 6 power.

This game REALLY wants me to hate Johnny. The sheer amount of hoops to get him some trinkets. Something about giving a face to a game's Completion checklist just makes you wanna punch it.
I haven’t beaten the game so there are some cards I’m missing but I substituted a few. Followed your video and managed to lose 84 to 89. I’m not playing this again. Think platinum will have to sit this one out. 🌚
