Your tutorial is excellent, as indeed all the others. Only one thing is missing, you don't show PS Vita games on Emulationstation. I did everything you taught and it worked, because the games are working, I just couldn't get them to appear in Emulationstation. Can you explain to me how to do this? Hey, Man! Thanks a lot for the video! I'm curious, Do you know if the Uncharted games would work on the PS3 Emulator? Have those been tested before?
I was gunna add them to my deck but according to the compatibility list. It’s not playable at this time ☹️
From what I understand the Uncharted games and Last of Us are virtually unplayable on Steam Deck. Idk the full scope of the Uncharted game's performance on Deck, but I know that Last of Us runs at like 15 fps.

Last of us is only 10 to 15 fps.
the Vita3K compatibility list is not accurate. some games actually run but the list says won't run. it happens the other way around too.

I have a problem here. After I install the firmware, in the order you show, the Emulator shuts down, and I have to restart it. Once I have installed the firmware, the Emulator refuses to load any of the roms. It says "Failed to load", and then shuts down. Any ideas?
The emulator, strangely enough, seems to know whether I am using the Bluetooth mouse, or the touch screen? The emulator doesn't crash after installing firmware, if I'm using the mouse. If I am using the touch screen, it will crash out, every time.
It still won't load games though, and my interface looks nothing like that, since I load up through an .exe called Vita3K Binary.

Thanks. I think that you just solved a massive headache of mine. I didn't realise that the games had to be installed from a Zip file.
I thought that you could extract the games, and load the Eboot files as is.
Right, I'll give that a go now.

If you have Vita , yes playing Vita game on itself still is the best options.

I've been looking for PS Vita ROMs but most just have the extension VPK Is there any way to put these files inside a ZIP and make it work?
Is there a way to make vita games run through emudeck instead of using the parsing method? Kind of like how you can create a desktop shortcut for ps3 games?

you have to convert the pkg file to iso in order to have ppspp read.
When emulating Freedom Wars the text in the text boxes doesn't show up. Does anyone know a fix for this
Half Games showed here are available on PC(Street X Tekken, Velocity 2X, Hotline Miami, WRC 5, Sky Force).
yeah lots of games have been remade on pc .
I really wish they would create an emulator like Redream for Dreamcast games that works well without having to do all this extra stuff. I see so many videos of people showing off emulators that are not fully working.
Vita emulations is so new so have to give some time to get better performance.
Those emulators are really old and have been worked on for years. Vita emulation is new, not surprising it needs work
Is your steam deck on Windows OS or Steam OS? If I buy a SD, no way I will put Windows on it since I don’t even have a computer to begin with, and I just wouldn’t mess with it like that.
This is on steam os. You don’t need windows to run vita emulator on SD.
how did you get your game files to decrypted like that?? Please answer because every time I try any game with a zip fikle i get a "no compatible content found in 1 archive" message. Please help I've been trying for a day...
You should get iso or cso roms. I don't know how did you get zip formats.
What about file folders in ABCD12345 format? Do I convert this file to zip? Thanks!
how do you extract and repack the zip on steamdeck if you dont gave a windows pc
I think you can do that from SD Desktop mode.
@ED4T yeah but I'm sure it's a bit different on SD desktop and thats why he chose windows but shit if it's still doable and this video is for the deck I wish he'd have shown us how

I tried but it's just too big. Have a gpd win 4 on its way to replace the Steam deck and have a size and shape more similar to my vita.
