    This car (along with Ferrari F50) was one of my favorite Ferraris to use in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2.

      Yea that was one of the best NFS games. Thinking back, it's kind of surprising Ferrari licensed their cars for a game with police chases when you consider how sensitive they are about brand image

      I agree. I remember thinking the F430 was a big improvement over the 360 when it launched, but I think the 360 has aged better and is a more cohesive design overall.

      Car&Driver did 0-60 in 4.6 and the 1/4 mile in 13.1 @ 110. This press car had to have been modified from the factory, because there's no way they're that quick off the showroom floor. To achieve the numbers MotorWeek got in the 1/4, this thing had to have been producing almost 400 *wheel* horsepower. It's rated at 395 at the crank. Most Ferrari 360s dyno between 310-325 wheel horsepower... which is consistent with Car&Driver's times.

      @@dr.jillalicecooper2587 Still there is no way a bone-stock production model traps 119 mph in the 1/4 mile. That is Gen 2 Viper territory and I know for a FACT a Gen 2 Viper is much faster than a 360 stock for stock. This car had to be a "ringer".

    My favorite Ferrari V8 model! 🤩Still got its RC model Dad bought 22 years ago, even if it's clearly not in the best shape. Its design is timeless, period!

    I have always loved the 360 Modena!
    Due to the high cost and maintenance I bought a Dodge Viper GTS instead!
    Love the 360!

    Fantastic looking, sounding and performing car. No modern Ferrari sounds this good. No more glass engine covers, or gated manuals either. Imo even the 430 was a step back in terms of looks, and sound. It’s idiotic grin just looks strange to me. The 360 is such a clean, pure shape. Those giant glass headlight covers remind me of a 1960s Ferrari. This car brought them from the 90s into the 2000’s. Only thing this one is missing is that black mesh vented rear panel.

    This or a 2000 NSX 6 speed? I’ve driven a 360 and the steering wheel felt like it was modeled for my hands, it was flawless. The model I drove was a 6 speed manual, so much fun.

      Depends on what you’re after. They’re very different experiences, one is famous for its flaws and drama, the other for technological prowess and superior usability.

      Interior of a NSX is like a 4 cylinder Honda Accord, very ugly and cheap . Read the comparison on the track NSX vs 348 Ferrari. NSX is just not in the same league to me.

    Aged great but damn the paddles were already peeling their finish that quickly ? I wonder if the rest of the switch gear finish was already “sticky” in classic 360 fashion. Great car, I was lucky enough to drive one for a summer

    Still a gorgeous design. $152k seems like a bargain these days. I had a chance to drive the 360 CS once and I absolutely loved it. I didn’t enjoy the 430 or the 458 nearly as much.

    Those painted shift paddles were a cosmetic disaster. The Hundreds of fingernail chips seen here were exactly what happened to my 355 F1. I had mine repainted to be authentic, but later modes became bare aluminium for obvious reasons 😂
    What a cool throwback, the 360 has aged so well.

    Well if ever there was any question as to whether Ferrari had “ringer” cars in its press fleet just look at the numbers here. 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and a 12.3 1/4 mile at 119MPH are every bit as quick (or quicker) as a Viper GTS. Depending on how abusive you want to be the F1 clutch this car was a 4.5-4.7 second car to 60 mph and 12.8 1/4 mile at about 113-114MPH

      @@matthewlewis-zw3tf you’re correct, but not half second or more quicker. The 1/4 mile trap speed is a great indicator of how much power a car is making and 119MPH is more than 395HP

      I believe car makers loan out cars for media outlets to demo. The bigger the audience the closer to the front of the line. This car may have been though racing circuit media outlets before arriving at MW. Even still, that's a lot of wear on a new-ish vehicle.

    Boy did you guy’s notice how worn out those paddle shifters where already? 😂that’s how you can tell how much use that car had already on the test track! That was the beginning of the prattle shift auto stick frenzy that started to hit the market in almost every car on the road! And the down hill for the manual transmission! Yep Ferrari started it all!

    Great car!! 355, 360 and 430 are amazing sports cars. Testarossa, and 550M are also awesome but very different and unique in their own ways. A v12 in a midengined v8 model would be a cool engine swap. Small and low weight with a v12, would be killer. I would love a 360 with a tricked out 456 V12 engine, putting out 600 h.p. !! Tell me what you think???

    This trans was still basically a manual with the computer depressing and releasing the clutch. 2:28 You can see how long the shifts take.

      Now a days, a $500 1989 Ford Taurus that’s souped-up will eat a Golf R. It’s really not incredible how cheap cars will destroy more expensive cars.

      Agree back in 2000 only 'affordable' car that could be properly quick was an Evo, WRX STi or an M3 3.2L Euro spec. To see what cars can do now😊

    To My eyes, f355 are better, more aggressive looking than 360. F355 look like a baby 512tr. Am i the only person that notice it.

      I actually like both designs. But I would also pick the F355 Berlinetta.
      360 Challenge Stradale is probably the one to get...easier to maintain as well

      Agreed. F355 GTS is the better design - but I wouldn't say it's more aggressive looking. The 360 is more aggressive, but the F355 is more sensual/beautiful.
