“This is more my style” Brother, you’re in for one hell of a ride. These girls kick ass and have giant a catalog of the catchiest, fun, riff driven, excellent hard rock you will find
The power, the swagger, the skill, the style, the look, These girls (ladies) got it all. This freaked me out first time I stepped on this landmine. AND THEY'VE ONLY GOTTEN BETTER!!!!
Oh brother, you don't understand that this MV is the gateway drug to a very massive addiction. I would follow up with "Dice" if you like bass, but the reality is that you can not go wrong with anything. And definitely do not skip the live videos. That is where they truly shine. Po!

"Thrill" was B-M's first MV & the song that saved them cos their label had no plans to release any more material until it went viral. "Domination" live next please my good man.🙂 ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html
One of the back stories to this video was that their management was ready to throw in the towel on Band-Maid and move the members off to other projects. Then this video blew up, so much that at first they thought they got hacked, which convinced their management to stick with them for which all us Maidiacs can be grateful. One video I would suggest is "Alone", which is the first song of their own composition that their management approved, but just pick any song and you won't be disappointed. They recently wrapped up a US tour that sold out in a day and they're just as good live.
THE best Rock band in existence. This was from 8 years ago so, lucky you, you've got a huge back catalogue of excellent to just plain great songs to watch!
Bass player is MISA. She's pretty good, in the way that the sun is pretty hot. Check out "Dice" for more bass tone goodness, or "Choose Me", or "Blooming." They're most recent video is "from now on" and she's got a nice break in it too. Actually, just check out anything, it's all good.
As good as this song is it’s not indicative of how good they’ve become since. I saw them on their recent US tour, and it’s one of best shows I’ve been to in my 56 years of living. IMO the best rock band now, and one of the best ever. Seriously. You did their first video so maybe do their most recent one next called “ From Now On”, to book-end their career. It’s an instrumental that really shows how far they’ve come instrumentally. After that there’s a lot of great live videos on their channel so you can see how great they are on stage.
Wills of iron, mega talent, hard work, creative musical versatility are just their first names. There is no insurance company that wouldn't dare give you a 1 million insurance that you will love them, not after they seen your reaction.
Self professed madiac here. These ladies are so good. I never got into Japanese music before but they broke the ice for me. They are real rock musicians- don't let the maid costumes fool you. My favorite song of their recent work is Hibana. It definitely follows the rock formula that they have been honing for 10 years now. Heavy bass, double kick drum, some strange riffs that are weird in a good way. I love how original they can be. In my opinion Band Maiko is their best work to date. Maybe in Japan people don't appreciate traditional japanese music because they hear it all the time but to my American ears it adds more beauty to the rock genre. They are in my top 5 of all rock groups ever.
Welcome home. You're just starting what will be an amazing musical journey. If you love this just wait. The next song you hear from them will be your favorite. Thrill is just the very tip of a big iceberg. Since you're starting with the oldest video I would suggest going in chronological order with their videos though if you really want to get a feel for just how good they are check out Play (live), Domination (live), or Freedom (live). As far as bass tone... MISA, the bassist, has easily THE. BEST. BASS. TONE. EVER. But I might be biased. Trust me, you'll soon learn how God Tier her tone is... as well as her playing.
Welcome to BAND-MAID 5 of the hardest working Ladies in Rock , enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , fan base is the Maidiac`s .
These ladies will bring you every kind of rock that you like. From ballads to metal with the occasional instrumental, but in their own style. To show this try any Official Studio or Official Live video's. The most popular will be Domination or Freedom Live from 2020 or Choose Me or Blooming MV. but more recent songs will be No God or Black Hole Live MV or Unleash or From Now On (Instrumental) MV. You won't go wrong whatever you choose. Quick ID- Miku (Red Rose)- Founder, Lyrics, Vocals, Guitar. Kanami- Music, Lead Guitar. Saiki (Blue Rose)- Lead vocals. Misa- Bass and Akane- Drums.
Hello and welcome to the pigeon-hole of Band-Maid! 🙋🏻♂ It's been just over 3 years since these 5 young ladies breathed life back into the rock genre for me with this very song/video. And believe me, this is just the beginning. This is the song that started not only my journey, but also the journey of this band 10 years ago. And what they've added to their catalog since then, and still do btw, will surely knock your socks off a couple more times. In the beginning, I couldn't believe the statements that there is not a single bad song among the now well more than 100 songs in their catalog, but the statements are all true! So, since you seem to like this kind of music, I promise you that the day you discovered this band will become an annual holiday. 🤭 From the comments so far, you probably have enough good recommendations, so I'll just say that I'll see you at the next song of these ladies. :) Greetings from the German Maidiacs division. 😉🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Welcome aboard, Soss. You are embarking on (along with many others - 161 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (124 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html) And many songs are represented with over 40 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts: ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” ua-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/v-deo.html Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” ua-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/v-deo.html Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (Full concerts from the last two songs are on bandmaidprime.tokyo and DVD/BD/CD) And some of the better quality 2022 US tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s one of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue: By Wave Potter with their last 2022 US tour OKYU-JI concert in Chicago: ua-cam.com/video/R9BcFwZz3cc/v-deo.html If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid Members: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 28 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. [BAND-MAID NEWS] BAND-MAID PRIME - Special Video Distribution Website. Along with nearly 50 great play-through’s by each member, concerts and skits, Band-Maid management / label(s) have included the ZEPP 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 concerts! Fans can now see more than 50 great live performances with awesome audio, etc. like Fate, I Can't Live Without You and the great MISA / Kanami exchange in Don't You Tell Me. Those concerts are two of the best produced & performed concerts ever recorded, IMO. bandmaidprime.tokyo The Maids SOLD OUT 2022 US tour just wrapped up and was a fantastic success. And so many great live fancams to watch! Their playing and antics were as fresh and fun to experience from first show to last. BRAVO Band-Maid!!!!!
Band Maid celebrate 10 years together next year. The are more popular in the West than they probably are in Japan. Simply because like you, people recognise that the music is a throw back to the great days of music. But they don't just stick with the tried and tested. They are forever evolving and frankly when it comes to Rock music in all its forms. I personally have never come across a more consistently great band.
One of my favorites is thier official video for "Different" but no matter what song you pick from them, you can't go wrong. As a 56yr old rocker/metalhead. they are the first band I've been excited about in a VERY long time. Genius writing & serious musicianship, with the amazing ability to incorporate a bunch of different genres while still remaining consistently BAND-MAID.
This is their Breakout MV. They had been struggling for 2 years and were close to be broken up. This was due to be their last MV for their agency. What happened was someone posted it on Facebook. 2 Million views in 2 weeks!!! The kicker was about 45% of the views were from the US and Europe. First overseas concert was in Seattle, they were a hit!! They were the second Japanese band to be a hit in the US and Europe - First Babymetal. Both bands opened up the world for Japanese bands!!!! Right now they are the #1 rock/metal band in Japan and very popular in the US and Europe. They just completed a 14 city tour in the US - all venues sold-out!!! They will tour Europe next year which is also their 10 year anniversary as a band.
They have a cataloge of 120 + songs, I guarantee 💯 you'll like most of them ! I saw this band Oct 12th in Seattle they are phenomenal live & can't wait too see them again ! So my advice is react to them again ASAP, you won't regret it. You reacted too their oldest MV, try their newest, " From Now On " ❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
You have no idea how much great music is in front of you. The talent level with these beauties is off the charts. Head and shoulders above the other bands out of Japan.
Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Why do you love this? Because they may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative. You are going to get a lot of suggestions. First, a little background on the girls: Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 28 years old MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 29 years old Kanami Tono - Lead guitar Composer and main arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 30 years old Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 30 years old Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 31 years old Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through. She envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal. She recruited Kanami, after finding a Kanami guitar cover on line; Kanami then recruited Akane, who recruited MISA. Akane and MISA had been students together at the Tokyo Music Academy. The group decided they needed more vocal “oomph”, and collectively recruited Saiki. Miku didn't know how to play guitar when they started, so Kanami has been teaching her. She's become good so fast that she is really adding to the music mix, and Maidiacs are daring to dream of a dual solo. Next, you have to listen to them live. They are that rare band that sound perfect live, even better than in the studio. Freedom (Feb 14 2020) ua-cam.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/v-deo.html Domination (Feb 14 2020) ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html Choose Me (Feb 14 2020) ua-cam.com/video/HcqitbXgigU/v-deo.html Onset (Instrumental-insane!) ua-cam.com/video/mVrN-j_Uc0U/v-deo.html Daydreaming (slower ballad, gorgeous): ua-cam.com/video/RCaeUkrItyY/v-deo.html If you want more background, I suggest you react to this classic interview. It's hilarious, it's insightful, you will learn their names for good, and their cuteness will destroy your brain. Oh, and they are completely nuts. ua-cam.com/video/R4PofsQYwn4/v-deo.html
Update - Kanami turned 31 before the October U.S. tour, MISA turned 30 at the LA serving, Miku turned 31 at the Dallas serving, and Akane turned 32 earlier this week. Saiki is 28 and won't turn 29 until after their Tokyo Garden Theater serving. They are reaching their prime!
@@surfingasongwave Yes, thanks for the corrections--I hadn't updated their ages but the birthdays, I believe, are correct. Yes, may they rock for many years to some!
120+ songs that are "more my style" await you. Not since The Yardbirds have so many talented musicians belonged to a single band. this was their first viral release, a song the records company for someone to write for them ... when they started writing their own songs they just grew and developed incredibly. their songs all have hooks you just can't ignore, and their style is to change up something in every verse and chores so you can listen to their songs over and over again and always find something new ... you're correct that they guitar solos are nothing that no one ever did before, but you'll find out that while she can shred with the best of them (the latest UA-cam video is an instrumental that proves this) when she dies a solo least in a song, she bills way back and pays service to the melody ... no showing off ... she arranges better than Bach and Beethoven and the melody is all important. you like the bass?, then MISA MISA MISA is at your service all song long.
If old school rock is what you like, you've stumbled onto a real treasure. I've tried to generalize what is so good about Band Maid--composition, musicianship, tone, and mixing. The best I've heard since Zeppelin, Tull, and Motorhead. They're developing at an amazing pace. Got to see them in DC and Chicago. Their shows must be experienced to understand how really good they are. Enjoy!
Play Live, Domination Live are a couple of must dos. Dice, Manners, Dragon Cries and Bubble MVs all have old school rock vibes. They have a killer new Instrumental in From Now On. Influencer has a cool bass solo
You are just getting started. This one caught me too. I discovered the group a few years ago. Thrill is pretty simple stuff. In the 9 or 10 years since then they have grown as talented musicians. Their recent tour of the US was great. I caught them in Houston and New York they are the real thing. I’d check out the live videos from their official UA-cam. By now there are over a hundred songs. Domination to Dice, instrumentals like the recent From Now On or the classic Onset with homage to Eddy Van Halen are good starting points. Caution as mentioned this is a very addictive drug.
"Thrill" was the band's first music video in 2014. It's credited as saving the band because management was close to shutting them down. A spurt in overseas, not Japanese, views kept the band alive. Have some fun, bookend the set, skip to their latest music video release "From Now On". I think you'll like it, and maybe be impressed with the song writing and technicality. Also, the bass tone is still present. Thanks for the reaction. (A note, "Thrill" was written by an agency writer, the band has been writing their own music and lyrics since about 2016.)
Good one Soss. You're in the best place if you like bass. So get ready. MISA (the barefoot bass assassin) is prominent in all songs. As are all the Maids because they are egoless. The best 70's Rock with a 21st century flair. The do it all including instrumentals, acoustics, traditional Japanese instruments. All equally great. Check out their latest MV for the instrumental FROM NOW ON. You'll never be disappointed with the Awesome BAND-MAID. Peace. 1.3
Welcome to the Maidiacs!! Believe it or not, that's just the tip of the huge iceberg of musical greatness from this incredible group of ladies and the more you hear from them and get to know them, the more you'll love 'em! Some suggestions: Domination, Play, Freedom, Onset (instrumental), Real Existence, Turn Me On, Puzzle - all Live, because that's when they really shine! (Best MV's: Blooming, From Now On, The Non-Fiction Days, Dice, Unleash, Secret My Lips) Thanks!🤘🤩🤘
Love watching people lose their BAND-MAID cherry! Welcome to the world of band made. For your safety buckle up tight and please stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop. Warning it has been determined that BAND-MAID is habit forming and can lead to a better life, Feel free to use without discretion.
Their popularity is growing. They just opened up for Guns N' Roses for 1 show in Japan and are playing the "Welcome to Rockville 2023" festival in Dayton Beach, FLA (playing on the same day as Slipknot, Rob Zombie & Queens of the Stone Age to name a few fo the bands).
Great react. Glad you liked it. That said, this is really early in their career. Miku (2nd vocals, band founder) didn't even know how to play guitar at this point. Band Maid is rooted in classic hard rock, but adding elements of metal, punk, pop, funk, blues, and jazz. Even a little hip hop in their latest, Influencer. Their catalog is genre diverse, but always distinctively Band Maid. Thrill was my first exposure to Band Maid. Freedom (Live) sold me. I recommend you follow that up with Dice (MV) and Domination (Live).
You reacted to Babymetal and people suggested LOVEBITES. You reacted to Lovebites and People suggested BAND-MAID. You reacted to Band-Maid and I suggest ASTERISM. (Check out: "Unravel" (InstruMetal Version) or/and "Scuttle Buttin'")
Welcome to the fandom! I'd check out these Band Maid songs: Dice. Manners, Bubble, Blooming, No God (live) & Domination (live) 'I love this' - just wait another 30 secs - then you'll really ♥ 'em! 😉 'That bass is so sick too' - oh you sweet summer child, you have no idea - yet... 🥰 'That was so friggin amazing' - pretty much sums up all 1st time listeners 🙂
This band has a phenomenal catalog! Check out more! And you’d probably also enjoy The Warning- three sisters from Mexico. (Check out Evolve - the live studio version doesn’t get blocked).
I found this band more than 4 years ago. As a drummer the first thing I focused in on was the drums. When I clicked the video I had assumed this was just another Pop-Idol group where the girls just sing and dance and I was planning to click away pretty quick. But from the first ("Start Over") the Drummer was clearly playing. It went from this kind of light guitar pop to slowly built up piece that had me clicking on the next one on the list: "Thrill." A total throwback to 80s Hard Rock nearly Metal. The drummer is sprinkling in double pedals and just keeping it rock solid. At this point I'm impressed enough to keep going. "Real Existence" is what put me over the edge. Akane (I had read the comments to find out her name at this point) goes completely Keith Moon wild on the drums while never losing control. Each verse, each chorus and the guitar solo all have multiple sub sections on the drums, and it is simply amazing. Simple, but ever moving, changing and perfectly locked into the rest of the music. So, after watching every last official video on their channel multiple times, made my first iTunes purchase EVER (and first money spent on new music in DECADES) I called up a friend of mine who had played guitar professionally in Japan back in the 90s. "Dude, I just found THE MOST AMAZING Japanese band! and they're all girls! and all dressed up li...." "Oh, you found Band-Maid, here, let me send you a link" ONSET. I think I cried. I've not been THIS into a band since first learning to play drums listening to Rush. They are THAT good.
47 comments and counting, I won't even check them out to know that people are telling you this is just Band-Maid when they started out, with Miku, who had the idea for the band, singing second vocals, only wielding a guitar for show's sake, and that this song wasn't even written by them (unlike 99% of the songs after that). I'm sure at least one comment mentions that they are *much* better live, and someone is going to suggest "Domination - Live @ Line Cube Shibuya 2020" or "Freedom" (same concert). I'll suggest either "Influencer" ( ua-cam.com/video/e_bEf1C0spY/v-deo.html ) because it is really really (*really*) good and their latest normal MV release ("From Now On" ua-cam.com/video/a6ZSvmnkS00/v-deo.html was released after that and is also absolutely awesome, but one of their rare instrumentals), or, if you want to check their range mid-2021 either "Dice/Different" ( ua-cam.com/video/h_RZwRbI1QI/v-deo.html , one is extremely catchy, the other an actual anime intro) or (one of my favourite live clips) "Manners/Black Hole" ( ua-cam.com/video/iaf94nNSRGE/v-deo.html The first one is a 70s stoner rock track, the second one just progrock madness). Note that those two 2-songs-clips were recorded live, but without audience, during online live-streamed concerts. All of those suggestions have subtitles btw (well ... except "From Now On", obviously;) THEN you can go to Domination, Freedom, Play, and all the rest :P
On the one hand I'd recommend their new stuff but on the other hand starting from their old stuff and moving forward will only make you appreciate how far they've come.
If you really love a good bassist, MISA will in a short time show you why she's currently one of the best bass players in the world. If you really want to hear and see her shine listen to the live official of No God or Dice. But if you want to hear her at her best (imo) listen to their song I Still Seek Revenge. There's no music video or live of that song but MISA on that song is INSANE
Thrill was the song that got me into Band Maid. If you like that you'll like 'Dice.' I now have all their Albums/EPs. I'm 57 and my era here in Uk was 70s 80s with some of the best and most varied music ever IMO. You said it 'Good old fashioned basic rock.' Some of their tracks remind me of that era, The Jam, SLF etc and just some good old pop songs like 'Daydreaming' and instrumentals like 'ONSET' and 'From now on.' Even more impressive that 10yrs ago Miku was a working in a Maid Cafe and thought she'd make a band (no experience) that would surprise people by dressing as Maids but playing rock. Good to see dreams come true!
Great reaction My Friend. The milestones of the Humanity are two: BAND MAID and, maybe but not sure, the wheel. Subscribed and really anxious to see your face in any reaction. Pick any song, no problem. Po !
Welcome to the everlasting drainage of your bank account, Po! Band Maid just completed their US tour, and I went to 5 shows from CA to Tx, Going to Tokyo in a few weeks for their 10th Anniversary show, and they are coming back to the US on May 18th to the Rockville fest at Daytona Speedway, likely have more shows. Try their latest instrumental, "from Now On,'" to get a snap shot of how they have evolved. Then you can react to +48 official YT MV's and 125 or so songs in their catalog, all available on their official YT channel. Thanks for discovering Band Maid the genre, Po! 🦍🍌
MISA! MISA! MISA! Holding the line is Solid Guitar Rock, Band Maid has picked up the Mantel of Rock'n'Roll where the West has left it behind! And if you think this pretty simple song is Great....just wait until you hear more as they grew through the years!!! LoL!! More Band Maid Always!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
This 2014 video was the make-it-or-break-it video for Band Maid. At this point Miku couldn't play the guitar since she thought she was only going to be a vocalist in the band. However this video did so well due to exposure in foreign markets, that it was decided that Band-Maid was going to be a successful project and that gave them the financial wherewithal to get started. This is before MISA and Saiki started dressing Gothic. Band-Maid is Jimmy Page approved!
Hi welcome to the journey of Band-Maid illumination, every step is a reward. I would suggest live performances. They improved along the years, they are 30+ year old.
My one piece of advice for watching your next Band-Maid song is do not going in expecting a certain sound or genre/subgenre. This band's quality is matched by their variety. This is a band that will jump from thrash metal to 00's pop-punk to latin fusion rock and will have you thinking there's no way it's the same band. Give each song an open ear and you will hear the best song of whatever genre they happen to be playing this particular time. They will have you saying, "I'm not usually a big fan of this genre, but this song has really got its hooks into me." It's quite remarkable.
This is your favorite Maid reaction! Wtf! You're a dirt bag!.... Just kidding 😂! Welcome to the Maidiac family! Only better stuff to come. This is just the beginning. I'd recommend something but it doesn't matter. It's All awesome. Great reaction brother. Rock on! 😊😎🤘✌️🎸
this is definitely one of if not the most poppy of their songs too. they really go hard in the paint in some of their others. try literally ANYTHING live from them.
I'm new to Band Maid too and I'm loving them. What got me listening to them is the band The Warning, I'm a big fan of theirs and they are big fans of Band Maid, so it was a natural progression fro me to check out Band Maid. The Warning is comprised of 3 sisters from Moneterey Mexico and they also know how to rock. If you decide to check them out they did a complete make over of Metallic's "Enter Sandman" with pop singer Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. They had one week to work on it and personally I think they knocked it out of the park. Or you might start with something from their latest album Error, in fact the title song might be a good one. Personally I'd lean more toward Evolve to start, but whatever you pick it will be the first step down yet another rabbit hole. They haven't been playing as long as these ladies but they are still great musicians and very talented song writers. This year they opened for The Foo Fighters, 3 Days Grace and toured with Halestorm. Lizzy Hale is now a huge The Warning fan. 3 Days Grace had Dani (Daniella), the lead guitar and vocalist perform with them and some of them performed with The Warning. Pau (Paulina) also does lead vocals and is a beast on the drums and Ale (Alejandra) on bass does backup vocals. Check them out I don't think you'll be disappointed.
@@GaryHolloway-810 no, no, no, don't get mistaken, I am JUST a fan, you are part of the Round Table Knights, protectors of the Maid Queens of Rock, a legend at the level of Vladimir Chupin.
Wave Potter has thier whole story posted on his site, very interesting.
THE best Rock band in existence. This was from 8 years ago so, lucky you, you've got a huge back catalogue of excellent to just plain great songs to watch!
Recomend "From now on" or "Domination"Live.
Welcome to our wolrdwide club of masters and princesses!
Haha, they were so young when they did this. Love it. Welcome to the Maidiacs.
And this is their first Music Video almost 9 years old, they've got a ton better which says a lot as this is a great rock song.
Small tip of a massive iceberg
"The Maidberg"
And down the pigeon hole we go! Maidiacs will be with you for your journey. Enjoy!
It's been just over 3 years since these 5 young ladies breathed life back into the rock genre for me with this very song/video. 🤭
From the comments so far, you probably have enough good recommendations, so I'll just say that I'll see you at the next song of these ladies. :)
Greetings from the German Maidiacs division. 😉🤘🏻

「 _'Our rock never dies ever.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html)
And many songs are represented with over 40 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts:
ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” ua-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/v-deo.html

ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” ua-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/v-deo.html
Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (Full concerts from the last two songs are on bandmaidprime.tokyo and DVD/BD/CD)
And some of the better quality 2022 US tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s one of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue:
By Wave Potter with their last 2022 US tour OKYU-JI concert in Chicago: ua-cam.com/video/R9BcFwZz3cc/v-deo.html
If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.

The Maids SOLD OUT 2022 US tour just wrapped up and was a fantastic success. And so many great live fancams to watch! Their playing and antics were as fresh and fun to experience from first show to last. BRAVO Band-Maid!!!!!
That was their first music video, should check out their latest From Now On. It's heavy and very melodic.
Adding to others recommendations I'm going to add "Dice" Official Music Video and "Real Existence" Official Live Video.
Welcome to Band-Maid Soss!

It only gets better from here, best hard rock band out there. Love it! Thanks for the reaction.
You have no idea how much great music is in front of you. The talent level with these beauties is off the charts. Head and shoulders above the other bands out of Japan.
You should jump ahead to their latest video “From Now On” to see where they are now. You will not be disappointed.
Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Why do you love this? Because they may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative.
You are going to get a lot of suggestions. First, a little background on the girls:
Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 28 years old
MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 29 years old
Kanami Tono - Lead guitar Composer and main arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 30 years old
Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 30 years old
Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 31 years old
Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through.

Worlds best rock band!
His Holiness, TinyHat-san beckons you to review their live performances...maybe starting with Freedom.
Peace. 1.3

All of those suggestions have subtitles btw (well ... except "From Now On", obviously;)
THEN you can go to Domination, Freedom, Play, and all the rest :P
Oh you've done it now, these Ladies are insane good, can't get enough of BAND MAID hard rock progressive. Enjoy the ride
Welcome to Maid-space brother. "Truly is it said, this should not be missed upon peril of your soul."
Well done!. Band Maid is better live. If you are passionate about bass solos, this band will make you fall in love.
Welcome to the Band-Maid rabbit hole. You won’t be disappointed.
Welcome to Band Maid. They do not have a bad song in their library. My 3 favorite songs of theirs are Play, MORATORIUM and Rinnie. Enjoy
Welcome to the world of Band Maid. Enjoy the ride.
Their 10 yr anniversary concert is on Jan 9th and available to stream. These women are the best.
Welcome to the Band-Maid club. I suggest the next B-M song you watch is Dice. That's the one that sealed my fate as a fan.
oh Lord!!
I am asking you "are you really loving this?"
you aint seiing nothing yet
😂😂😂😂
MISA! MISA!
This was before Miku could actually play guitar. Now she’s a monster holding down the rhythm and backing vocals
*watches reaction. Laughs fiendishly.* Dude, you have no idea what you are in for. None. And we're all here for you 😉
Hi welcome to the journey of Band-Maid illumination, every step is a reward. I would suggest live performances. They improved along the years, they are 30+ year old.
Band-Maid is really talented and have come a long way. Another band like them is Aldious. That girl in pink with the flying V guitar, is my favorite.
Sugoi! Saw these women in October & it was an awesome & FUN show!
They will have you saying, "I'm not usually a big fan of this genre, but this song has really got its hooks into me." It's quite remarkable.
....and @ the twentieth second of the second minute of this video ....he will be served... .
Welcome home Master
This is your favorite Maid reaction! Wtf! You're a dirt bag!.... Just kidding 😂! Welcome to the Maidiac family! Only better stuff to come. This is just the beginning. I'd recommend something but it doesn't matter. It's All awesome. Great reaction brother. Rock on! 😊😎🤘✌️🎸
Just wait. You have so much more to experience. I highly recommend any of their live videos.
this is definitely one of if not the most poppy of their songs too. they really go hard in the paint in some of their others. try literally ANYTHING live from them.
"Thrill" was my first Band Maid love, then came "Without Holding Back" and "Giovanni", I was sold on them as a great band.
You’re in for a treat if you loved this. Thrill is just the tip of the Band Maid iceberg.
1 out of 120+... Lolol you have seen just the tip of the maidberg! It smells like tee... I mean a new maidiac in the making! 🤘🕊️
"Maidberg". Me like.😁👍
@@GaryHolloway-810 omg, the great Gary Holloway himself replied to my comment. Let me take a picture, frame it and hang it on my room's wall
@@yerayortiz7285 Lol. I wouldn't go that far, i'm just a Maidiac like you but i subbed to you cos i liked your comment.😁
@@GaryHolloway-810 no, no, no, don't get mistaken, I am JUST a fan, you are part of the Round Table Knights, protectors of the Maid Queens of Rock, a legend at the level of Vladimir Chupin. History says when the Small Pigeon was born 810 years ago you were already there to make a funny comment and ever since you'd never let a video about Band-Maid without one
@@yerayortiz7285 Gosh how nice of you to say. Everyone leaves all the cool info but you definitely sound like the sort of person i'd happily have a beer with.😁🍻
this is one of my favorite bands, you would most likely really line Rinne, Manners, and really any of their music now that I think about it.
You are two months late for their American tour. Got to see them in Philly. Fantastic show.
Great reaction. This is an amazing find for you i promise. I envy you a lot that you can hear all that amazing songs for the first time.
I am here for those reactions promise 😉
This song and the band in general inspired a novel I'm writing, so yeah, I like them too.
I'd also recommend reacting to the all female bands
Nemophila- Revive
Aldious- We Are
Mary's Blood- Starlight
