Thanks brothers for reacting to Band Maid's awesome music. "Thrill" was the song that really launched their career. Their management company was going to disband the group ."Thrill" was on the B side of a release, but when played on a J-Rock station in the U.S., it went VIRAL. It got a million responses in one week. The rest is history. If you look further into their large discography (over 120 songs) you will not find one bad song. They are amazingly professional. They just recently celebrated the conclusion of their 10th Anniversary tour in Yokohama. They have had many concerts in the U.S. (and Mexico City) this year included an invitational performance at the Lollapalooza music festival this past summer in Chicago. They were the first J-Rock band invited to play the festival in 13 years. They slayed!!!!! There is a two-song clip from their one-hour performance at the festival. The two songs are "Dice/Hate?" that went VIRAL on UA-cam and the internet. I'm not going to spoil the surprise (and pleasure) from viewing and reacting to it. But, please check it out. It will be worth your shile.
THRILL done so long ago. I don't know if you re-visit bands - if you do, you should check out BAND-MAID live. Check out the live video "DICE/HATE?" from Lollapalooza 2023. You will definitely get to hear/feel MISA's bass.
Hi guys! Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 57 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive 10 year back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and bad-ass musicians to boot. They are currently celebrating their 10th anniversary with the original line up. This was their first MV, they have come a long way since! Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. The idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po! Check out the LIVE version of "Domination" to see what they can really do live.
Thrill is from 2014 and was their first video that got over one million view in a little over one day when posted on Facebook, then to UA-cam. This video saved them from obscurity, if this didn't make it they were finished. Also this song was performed by only Akane (drums) MISA (bass) and Kanami (Led Guitar). Miku on rhythm guitar (Rickenbacker) did not know how to play at this time but Kanami taught her after this song and she is now one of the best. Bass lovers LOVE Band-Maid. Glad you guys started your Band-Maid journey from the very beginning, it just gets better from here. Band-Maid is a very deep Pigeon Hole to go down.....only 130 more songs to go! Enjoy! Recommendation: "Domination" Official LIVE
🤔Hmm, do i agree with that statement? 5 Maids. 1 Small pigeon over Barefoot Assassin. Carry the banana. Divide by the coffee & multiply by Po! Heeey i agree too. Happy Christmas Jonas.🎅 "PO, PO, PO" :)
That’s our girls. Their music can be wonderfully nostalgic yet fresh and innovative. They often remind me of something but I can’t ever recall just what. They pull from so many genres it’s hard to pin them down. Best overall band I’ve found in the last 30 years. Best of all they always make me smile. Enjoy your journey with these wonderful musicians. I know I have.
Ahh, welcome to the rabbit hole called ‘Band-Maid’, the greatest rock-metal-band on the planet today. Yes, I’m a Maidiac, but listen to them and judge for yourselves. Impressed by the bro who called out MISA, the bassist, after just a few seconds. This band has been around since 2013 but I found them in 2022 with this very song. I had NO IDEA how good, how great, they are. I saw them live in Anaheim on their 10th anniversary tour and they are BETTER live. They have a long song list and as far as I can tell, not one bad song. Check out ‘Domination’ for an amazing breakdown of all the instruments. Their official live videos are much better than any band around. They even have some instrumentals that will blow you away…’Onset’, ‘From now on’, just to name two. For a Bass-lead guitar battle check out ‘Take me higher’. For acoustic, check out ‘Sayanoadori” …definitely spelled wrong and the live acoustic ‘Puzzle’. Both will demonstrate that with only 3 or 2 members playing they are better than most band at full capacity. Lead Singer: the beautiful Saiki, best female rock vocalist since Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane. (I’m am literally an OG and go back a ways) Back up Singer/rhythm guitar: the beautiful Miku, who formed the band. She is a one time maid from those maid cafes and derived the maid theme for the band. They now write their own songs and she is the best lyricist around. Drums: the beautiful Akane, who is so good that Led Zepplin guitarist HAD to meet her backstage and called her one of the best drummers he has ever seen. And that comes from someone who had one of the greatest drummers ever in his own band. Lead Guitarist: If Miku is the heart of this band, then Kanami, is the soul. She now composes the band’s music and writes so that all the members are highlighted in most every song. My favorite guitarist is (was) Eddie Van Halen (RIP) who was a King of the rock and roll guitar. And where there is a King, you must have a Queen and Kanami is she. Bassist: MISA, the barefoot assassin is the best bassist alive. Rarely do rock bands have their bassist highlighted as you’ve mentioned but there is no doubt she too is royalty, a queen of the bass. I’ve listen to rock and roll for many years. I saw Van Halen, Rush, Metallica in the old days… but my favorite band of all time are these five beautiful, talented and humble women of Band Maid. Quite simply…. The best.
Great first time reaction- you've got so much to learn and love about these ladies. Don't be fooled by the costumes and the nail vanish. They are monsters at what the do and different instrument get to shine on most of the songs. I can see that you've plenty to read already.
While they get some criticism for how they look (ignoring the fact that there's really one that's clearly recognisable as a maid now) I do think there's a problem quite a lot have in not taking female bands seriously. If it's not a bunch of big hair dudes up there, they don't want to know. It's even worse in other genres. I love a female Korean punk band called Rumkicks, and the hate they get online is pretty depressing. For Band-Maid, even the positive comments can be 'bad', with people expressing astonishment that they can play their instruments - something they'd never do if checking out a male band.
This song doesn't even begin to touch on how great of a bass player Misa is. Keep going. To get into Band-Maid is a very deep dive with how they can sound completely different from song to song to song.
The more people that react to Band Maid and realise just how good they are the better. Ten years as a band and they have been writing, arranging their own music for some time which is why it is so varied. They have toured around the World plus touring The States on a few occasions. Each band member has a contribution to make to the sound. They even change their play lists at concerts to suit venues and crowds. They are unique and can make small venues and big venues feel as intimate as each other. They are unique. Thrill was the song that luckily got picked up and stopped their management from dropping them and suggesting 'Dance Maid' as an alternative. But they vowed to stick together in some way and the rest is history.
There’s so many suggestions but literally the best one to watch next is the dice/hate lollapalooza performance. It’s recent, it’s 2 great songs, it’s live, it’s more accurate to how they sound now as opposed to 10 years ago, AND THE BASS AND GUITAR GO OFFFFFF!!!!!
Saw them in the sold out Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta with 1800 of your new best friends. They pounded out like 5-6 songs back to back with hardly a breath between before even saying hi, and they are hilariously sweet as well. They're like a sisterhood.
Great spot on comments. I suggest their clip of Dice/HATE from the 2023 Lollapalooza gig, that is floating around on the net. It shows them at their best, live w/ audience. Each member gets ample exposure, but the highlight is an extended interlude featuring bass, lead guitar, and drums. Other wise, the most recommended live is Domination, official live video. The MV of Domination is a pale version, and illustrates just how much better they are live vs studio.
Very nice first reaction. You will find in future vids that Misa the bassist is prominent in most of their songs. Your reaction to her is typical for the reasons you gave. Very rare to see a bassist take a front part but it is only possible with a bass player of Misa's calliber. IMO She is the best bass player out there right now. Next, if you are curious about their true talent watch a video called From Now On. It is a completely off the hook instrumental. Live they are even better, yeah really, try Domination live. Maids forever.
Good reaction. 7 years ago I came across “Thrill” and was instantly hooked on everything Band Maid. I recommend their official live versions of “Play”, “Real Existence”, “Dominations”, “Freedom” and “Onset” (instrumental). You have plenty of material. I’m being sincere, There are no weak Band Maid songs, only varying degrees of musical excellence.
Fasten your seatbelts Band-Maid is an awesome unbelievably talented group. Check out their songs Play live and Puzzle live. Misa the bassist shines in almost every song. You can check out her and Akane the drummer laying down a funky intro on the live song Manners
Giant rabbit hole. Welcome to the fandom. They come to the US a lot. They performed at Lollapalooza this year and even were chosen for a special showcase concert.
And there is a video around of them at Lolla with Dice/Hate combo - and they said they wanted some good examples of MISA at her finest.... just saying.
I can hardly wait till you get to their Lolapalooza 2023 performance of "Dice" and "Hate?". This is their first MV and you have a loooooooong way to go.
This was their first video. They’ve gotten much better since then. Your next dose should be DOMINATION, live 14 February 2020 (the last days of The Before Time). Watching this one will set you up for the rest.
First video, the one that saved them... Check them out live.. They really are a live band.. Real existence, Freedom, Domination and Moratorium live are good songs to start with.. If you want metal go back to Nemophila, Zen live and Raitei mv are to more great songs, and Lovebites latest songs Hammer of wrath and Stand and deliver shoot em down live from Knocking at heaven's gate.. Oh and if you like the bass, check out the new bassist from Lovebites. Her name is Fami, check out the cover she did of the song Alien alien. I will guarantee it will be the most amazing thing you will see today.. Slap, pluck harmonics, tapping the whole show.. And she is just 17 in this video.. Bind blowing... Best wishes from France
@@GaryHolloway-810 Really enjoying this musical journey.. Haven't been as excited about music like this since the 70/80's metal boom.. So much music, so little time...
These five incredible amazing musicians / women. Are such a joy to watch perform. If you can get past stomaching the fan base ! I hope you keep them coming. Take care and be well always.
@@throwaway9389 PART OF THE FANBASE THAT DOESN'T DROOL ALL OVER THEM LIKE A BUNCH OF MIDDLE-AGED CREEPERS. I DON'T ACT LIKE THE KID IN SCHOOL .WHO IS ANNOYING AND HAD HIS HAND UP ALL THE TIME. They are even better in their live videos which add(at minimum) an additional 30% to their sound! Watch Domination MV, then their Live version of the song!
You said something about how they are live... Saw them live in Dallas both times they were there. Amazing show. Misa is one of my favorite bass players on the planet, no matter genre. She switches playstyle so effortlessly that some reactors start asking "Where did the pick go?" or Where did that pick come from?" because she has some trick of holding the pick out of the way between fingers really fast. All of them have improved a lot from the early days also.
As the other Masters & Princesses (or Maidiacs as is sometimes said), you have ABSOLUTELY no idea the greatness that awaits you with these 5 remarkable women. 🤷🏻♂️😂 We could write a million words on the band, the members, how they’ve grown and improved dramatically since Thrill; which as you saw was already excellent, but the best thing to do is just quickly pull up another song and get to it. You have 100+ songs of exceptional excellence to hear; with new great music coming out all the time. I don’t think there’s another band with their depth of excellence across their catalog; we’re talking prolific on the order of the greatest bands - The Beatles, Zeppelin, The Who, Rush - that’s the quality level of their catalog. So next…🤔 - “Domination” - official LIVE video Then dozens and dozens more songs crazy goodness! - Dice - Manners - Freedom - Choose Me - Daydreaming - Hate? - Why, Why, Why -….I could list every one of their songs - you need to hear them all. Ah, might as well learn the band now. Band-Maid Members (Simple Version) - [ ] Miku (ME-coo), 32 - Rhythm Guitar, Second Vocals, Founder, Pigeon, Primary Lyricist, Red Flower 🌺 Chief Spokesperson, PO!! - [ ] Misa (ME-sah), 31 - Bass, Barefoot Assassin - [ ] Akane (AH-kah-nay), 33 - Drums, Gorilla - [ ] Kanami (Kah-NAM-e), 32 - Lead Guitar, Princess, Primary Music Composer - [ ] Saiki (Psyche), 30 - Vocals, The Ice Queen, Quality Control, secondary lyricist, Blue flower 💎 Take care and enjoy the journey down the “Pigeon” hole!! PO!! 🔥🎸🥁🎤🤘🏼😎✌🏼⛩️
Thank you for checking out The Maids. This was from 10 years ago and I love it but there so much more of their great stuff to see. Just like The Warning, Band Maid is great live.
If you like the bassist MISA, go checkout “NO GOD” live video, “Influencer” MV, “Manners” MV, “Play” live, “Domination” live, “from now on” instrumental MV, “onset” instrumental live videos all on official youtube channel.
Hey Guys.....you were fun to watch !!!!!! Well get ready to get bombarded from Maidiacs !!!!! Welcome....you guys have absolutely no clue what you have stumbled into.......You just heard their first video from 10 years ago......this band has transformed into the best hard rock band on the planet. I know that sounds crazy....but jus wait.....first recommendation is listen to a live performance. I would start with Real Existence LIVE...I think it's the best representation of the power of this band live. And just know that they have over 120 songs and really not a bad one in there. And if you want bass....listen to Misa on the song Shambles.
Well guys, have ya heard the expression, "You've only scratched the surface". Well, with The Maids, you've just scratched the surface with say, a very soft cloth. This band is UNBELIEVABLE! (NOT hyperbole). All the suggestions in the previous comments for next reaction/s are...correct. Pick whatever you want, strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride. It's a REALLY good one. Thanks Brothers! 🕊
THESE INCREDIBLE AMAZING MUSICIANS ARE SUCH A JOY TO WATCH. THE MOST DIFFICULT PART ABOUT THIS. IS STOMACHING THE FAN BASE. KEEP THEM COMING TAKE CARE AND BE WELL. P.S. AFTER A WHILE YOU WILL SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
The drummer is absolutely incredible. Look for Band-Maid drum solos and you will be blown away. The Bassist is also extremely good. In fact, the whole band is awesome. I am an "old" guy that has seen a lot of bands and they impressed me. Check them out live. They are tight live!
Welcome to the world of BandMaid! Good first react guys! This is only the beign. You beed watch "Freedom" live! Is absolutely amazing! See you! 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇯🇵
Enjoyed your reaction guys. Keep up with BandMaid for some face melting music. My favourite song is Choose me, if you want a great live song Domination (offical live video) or Freedom (same show) from their Shibuya show. Also recommend From now on. But you can pick anything and be happy.
Рік тому+2
welcome home, lads! you opened a treasure trove of 150 bangers. they do combine hard rock, metal, pop punk, emo, funk groove and classic rock. pick any track and just enjoy
MISA MISA MISA. Welcome home, 2 and 1/2 Masters, Po. Moie Moie, Kyun! More bass "Influencer", "No God" "Play" live. 🦍 Drums, "Freedom" live. Bass/Guitar dueling "Dice/Hate?" Live at Lollapalooza or "Don't You Tell Me" live. Lead Guitar "Freezer", "Blooming", "Real Existence" OMV or live, "Alone." Ballads "Daydreaming" (also great lead solo), "Endless Story", "Wonderland." You have 10 years of catching up to do, fellas...
Oh the places you'll go. Oh the sounds you will hear. If you find this good then you are in for a treat. Prepare for a life changing experience. Sweet baby Jessica Tandy you ain't seen nothing yet. Have a smoke and strap in. It's gonna be fun!
Nice 👍 Blow your minds guys with their recent, relevant, more complex and superb 'Influencer' MV with great location. They've come a long way in their 10th year 💪❤🤘🤘🤘
Band-Maid in Japan is actually known for being this Japanese band that is... popular in the world outside Japan. It's a bit odd, and somewhat of a challenge for the band. Typically Japanese bands make it big in Japan, and then they try to break out into the wider world. Band-Maid is kind of a niche-band outside Japan, lots of musicians liking them, but also a niche-band in Japan. Totting up all their fans globally it comes to a not insignificant number, which works in this interconnected modern world. But it means while they have something like 70% of their fans outside Japan, they can still gather the bigger crowds only in Japan - and otherwise the fans are still a bit thinly spread, since it's a big world.
Yeah, I just saw them in NashVegas. The ladies were great, but I was struck by the small venue and crowd. Similar to what The Warning r working through in the U.S. They r both grinding and will build fan bases outside their home countries with time.
Loved the video guys. It's the best shit when this is an introduction to Band Maid though. Only because this is their debut, and yours. It only goes up from here. Band Maid just keeps getting better, can't wait for more!
Strap yourselves in their music gets wild! in 10 years they have grown so much as musicians/song writers. My suggestion would be to check out Shambles which is their newest song. it would be interesting to see a comparison of their oldest and newest video. Also they are an impressive live band. their energy is turned up to 11 when in front of a crowd. So another one to watch is Dice and Hate? live at Lollapalooza. But literally any of Band-Maid song you will not be disappointed.
Now that you have a taste of them. You have to do "Freedom" live and "Domination" live and also "Manners" and "Black Hole" to really experience their musicianship and Music creativity. They do write their own music by the way. This is a nice song but boy can they really rock it!
Band-Maid call their fans Masters and Princesses. Domination, Play or On Set live 2020 are real good for showing instrumental skills. When you get the chance to see them live you must. Most fun serving (concert) I have ever been to. They are way better live. Pause as much as you like. We are hear to support our favorite bands and to hear your reaction. Heck! My dog paws all the time. Would the Scorpions get you In Trance? Band-Maid is extraordinary.
Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band. Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors from Tokyo University. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Frequently snacks between songs. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).
The Band-Maid live version of Thrill is different because the notes played by the lead and rhythm guitars were altered, added, and changed a bit. You might notice in other songs they play that there might be an instrumental version and one with vocals. There might even be some acoustic versions around.
Band Maid produces more Rock than can be consumed locally. They don't play "Thrill" that frequently because it's one of their simplest songs, but their version from the 10--year show at Yokohama will become the standard. In other videos, check out Misa's instantaneous switching between using a pick and slapping and popping. Compare Miku's (rhythm) playing on "Thrill" such as it is with her playing during "Hate?" at Lollapalooza. Akane's double kick, and the rest of her kit beating, is always insane. I've been lucky enough to see them four times over the last year, --they are amazing live. So fan cam video is worth checking out. And thanks for pausing!
Great first reaction guys. Also check out their fan cams, video shorts, and informal/semi-formal interviews. Their musicianship is unquestionable but you'll find that there are no egos among them, they are smart with great senses of humor, and they are good friends when not performing.
You should check out HATE? at Lollapalooza live video. You need to see how amazing they are live, and the song has an epic Bass/Guitar battle. It's also very recent performance, just a few months ago.
You have found the greatest hard rock band in the world. The talent of the Maids is top tier and really shines in their live performances. I hope you keep going down the pigeon-hole because if you enjoyed Thrill just wait!
If you liked this, you are going to love Band-Maid. This was their very first MV. Next could be: Domination (live version) - A little bit of everything and a good way to see them live and get a feel for the band. Freedom (live) - classic rock, with a surprise you will like and then pick anything from their channel - just be aware that it may be slow, fast, soft, hard, classic, experimental, instrumental, acoustic or anything in between. Edit: well OK, slow is relative ;-)
Thank you for your reaction. Thrill is a good song, and very important of various reasons, but it would not be honest to say that Band Maid haven’t developed since then. My musical journey with the maids started with the MV for Manners and that journey is still going on, as they develop so do I. I suggest official online for Manners, Black Hole, two songs, or the official live for Freedom, given your comments. Have fun! :)
Welcome to the fandom! (Music) 'it started out strong' - Oh you sweet summer child 😉 ~waits for it...~ 😊 'It's got that old school vibe bout it' - well said! Band Maid does lotta old school sounding rock (as well as many other genres...) Knew they were gonna lose it at the solos! 😀 Bass solo rare (not in this band) To be fair most bands don't have a MISA! 😉 Only (organically formed) band I can think of that has a great guitarist, bassist & drummer all in one band! Oh and the other two are pretty darned talented too 😉 I suggest these Band Maid songs: Dice, Manners, Bubble, Freedom (live), No God (live) & Puzzle(live)
Card carrying member of TWA here. The Maids are a super strong 2nd 4 me. This is the song that saved the band. The rest is history. I personally think that Kaname is the best rock genre lead guitarist in the world today. Apologies to Midori and Miyako, but they're metal anyway. Funny u should have referenced "jazz bands" because as u listen to more of them, u will see them passing off solos between bass (Misa), guitar (Kaname), and drums (Akane) just like a jazz quintet. I think that I understand that is a reflection of Misa/Akane's music education background. If I am off on that, I know the Band Maidians will correct me. Please help me manifest something that a lot of the TWA are hoping for, namely, a joint Band Maid/The Warning tour. Band Maid headlining throughout Asia and TW headlining in Central & S America.
i would love to see that tour Band-Maid / The Warning tour. i always wondered who would headline and the way you put it would make sense now if only i could get a TW/BM shirt with each half of the shirt features each band cuz i really don't want to cut any of the concert shirts i got for each to make one 😐
The bassist is MISA A.K.A. The Barefoot Assassin. Nicknamed because she always kicks her shoes off during a concert and she will kill you with her bass playing. If you are looking for a good showcase of her talent look for their song, Dice.
B-M does every genre there is, but if you like this old school rock, you should try their latest video, "Shambles". You will get more head bopping rock riffs, brutal bass and crazy drums than you can handle and see how they have evolved over ten years. Try "From Now On" if you want to hear the best progressive rock ever.
And this wasn't even written by them. Wait until you hear THEIR own written music. It's levels above this. You think this bass line is good? You ain't heard nothing yet.
If you want to see another Bass player slapping the bass check out the live performance of Scandal song “Shoujo S”. Make sure you do the live version of the song! And the lead singer from Scandal is friends with the drummer of Band-maid.
If you want to see a bass and guitar battle, then check out BAND-MAID live at Lollapalooza 2023. The songs are Dice and Hate. ( ua-cam.com/video/a6gvg9Xg4Ao/v-deo.html )
I'm not sure if you have ever reacted to Lovebites, but if you like Band-Maid you will love them. They just drop a live video for M.D.O. and it's amazing. I personally think that Lovebites is a top 5 band in the world. And I love Band-Maid also.
BAND-MAID are the new Beatles. They consider themselves to be Hard Rock, though to Pigeon Hole them like that would be a disservice. They have so many influences and they shift through them so fast it will strip the gears of your mind. Rock, Punk, Funk, Power Pop, Metal and Jazz. And in their April Fool's Day persona, BAND-MAIKO, even a little Japanese Traditional thrown in for good measure. They just finished their 10 Year Anniversary Tour, so with well over 100 songs, and counting, you have some catching up to do. In a few cases the OMV is the superior version, but usually the Official LIVE Video is the way to go. And you're spot on about the Anime Vibe. They even have a song in anime form, 'Unleash', but also songs that were commissioned for Anime Theme songs. 'Glory' was done for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, but the one you should do first is the song commissioned for the season two closer for the Netflix anime Kengan Ashura, 'Shambles'. It will blow you away to see how far they came since 'Thrill'. But you were wise not to interrupt the guitar solo. There's a T-Shirt that says "Shut Up! Kanami is speaking" IT was design for reactors that talk over her solos. But everyone comments on MISA playing Lead Bass. They have an amazing Call & Response "Battle" in the song 'Hate' from this year's Lollapalooza festival. Don't forget to check that out. It's good to have because the penultimate "Battle" is not longer on UA-cam. It along with a lot of other great stuff was pulled ahead of a DVD release. You can only see it as the 9th song in the Zepp Tokyo LIVE concert and that's on the Chinese site Bilibili. The sound and camera work aren't the best, but it's so worth it! You said you want a drum solo, but Akane is like Ringo. Only one time has she ever done a full drum solo. That was in 'Freedom' LIVE.
Always good to start at the beginning. This is the first song that BAND MAID put on YT. Fast forward to HATE? - ua-cam.com/video/OvtKRZ9xt3E/v-deo.html live at Lollapalooza 2023. After that you can pick any song and you will not be disappointed! BAND MAID makes music like "they used to" and no overdubs - autotune - just straight up music. Also - please note the Jimi Hendrix stickers on MISA's bass guitar. A shout out to her mother.
Ok! I noticed that you did just one Lovebites - So now you have to check Band Maid live and Lovebites live. And I will let three other bands: Gacharic Spin (take for example I wish I), Wagakki Band and East of Eden. Five home work, enjoy.

Still fantastic, but this song is one of their simpler and older songs. You've only scratched the surface. This song in particular I consider a pop-rock track with heavy guitars. They have a wide variety of subgenres of rock. *Check out "BAND-MAID - Dice & Hate? at Lollapalooza 2023, with optimized audio" if you want some insane bass and guitar work.* DICE is a pop-punk track with heavy, progressive guitars while Hate? is a trip. Seen them twice in Chicago. Live is where they truly shine. Also, maid cafes from everything that I've heard are more of a family restaurant thing where you would take your daughter. I think the "weird" preconception with the idea is a western thing and how westerners' minds automatically go exactly one place when they see French maid outfits.
When I see people react to Band Maid and Thrill for the first time and they really like it, I think 'You have no idea what's coming'.
Bingo!!! 😂👍🏼
I think I live for first reactions to this band. (edit: they just surpassed 20,000,000 views on this video December 26, 2023 :)
@@ranger_a6953 It can be a lot of fun!! 🤩

I love, "pigeon hole". So appropriate and a break from "rabbit hole".
They won't understand at the moment why "pidgeon hole". 😂
They’ve gotten better and better and better. One of the best rock bands you’ll find anywhere. Awesome live! (Seen them 4 times in the US.)
I've seen them 5 times. 2 times in Dallas, 2 times in Houston and once in Houston. Amazing shows.
A lot of people will recommend the Live version of their song 'Domination'. And I agree! It slaps!

Best overall band I've encountered in 30 yrs. Yep. That about sums it up.
(I’m am literally an OG and go back a ways)
Back up Singer/rhythm guitar: the beautiful Miku, who formed the band.
Early Band-Maid will Thrill you, but their latest will leave you in Shambles.
Two and a Half Brothers, 3 full moustaches & 1 awesome BAND-MAID. Thx guys.👍

This song is so SICK. Everyone is so talented. I was hooked on Band Maid with this song. Every single song of theirs is a return to old school R&Roll.

We could write a million words on the band, the members, how they’ve grown and improved dramatically since Thrill; which as you saw was already excellent, but the best thing to do is just quickly pull up another song and get to it.
So next…🤔
- “Domination” - official LIVE video
Then dozens and dozens more songs crazy goodness!
- Dice
- Manners
- Freedom
- Choose Me
- Daydreaming
- Hate?
- Why, Why, Why
-….I could list every one of their songs - you need to hear them all.
Ah, might as well learn the band now.

Well, SAKI of Nemophila said that outside of Baby-Metal, they were the biggest Rock band in Japan. It's Rock that's niche genre worldwide.
Yeah, I just saw them in NashVegas. The ladies were great, but I was struck by the small venue and crowd. Similar to what The Warning r working through in the U.S. They r both grinding and will build fan bases outside their home countries with time.

Domination live 2020 , is a must see by the girls, all jam solos in the middle of the song which are not on studio version
Best band on Earth when you've heard your 10th song you will have a "HOLY SHIT" Moment!
Now that you have a taste of them. You have to do "Freedom" live and "Domination" live and also "Manners" and "Black Hole" to really experience their musicianship and Music creativity. They do write their own music by the way. This is a nice song but boy can they really rock it!

They have great solos they performed at lollapalooza this year. You guys should check that out.
Official Live Domination is awesome, and Hate? Live at Lollapalooza 2023 will leave you speechless (Bass and guitar do stuff that boggles the mind)
Hej Bros, welcome to the world of Band-Maid.
See ya with your next Band-Maid reaction.
Band-Maid is simply fantastic in every way and yes, Misa (bass player) is crazy good and generally shines. Thanks for the reaction, check out more!!
Yeah , you'll be saying " man , that bass! " a lot with these ladies.
You have found the greatest hard rock band in the world. The talent of the Maids is top tier and really shines in their live performances. I hope you keep going down the pigeon-hole because if you enjoyed Thrill just wait!
If you liked this, you are going to love Band-Maid.
This was their very first MV.
Next could be:
Domination (live version) - A little bit of everything and a good way to see them live and get a feel for the band.
Freedom (live) - classic rock, with a surprise you will like
and then pick anything from their channel - just be aware that it may be slow, fast, soft, hard, classic, experimental, instrumental, acoustic or anything in between.
Have fun! :)
If this is your introduction to the Maids, you got some pleasant surprises ahead of you.
The bass hit so hard, Haa Ha Ha Ha. I laughed my ass off at that comment. Just wait my friend.
Check out their latest song Shambles and you'll shocked by their progress.
Welcome to the Band-Maid rabbit hole. Check out the official live version of “Domination” you won’t be disappointed.
Welcome to the fandom! (Music) 'it started out strong' - Oh you sweet summer child 😉 ~waits for it...~ 😊
'It's got that old school vibe bout it' - well said! Band Maid does lotta old school sounding rock (as well as many other genres...)
Knew they were gonna lose it at the solos! 😀 Bass solo rare (not in this band) To be fair most bands don't have a MISA! 😉
Only (organically formed) band I can think of that has a great guitarist, bassist & drummer all in one band!
Another bass solo is on Onset live and try to find Don't You Tell Me live - epic guitar bass solo battle
Great reaction, check Domination in a live version its a really sick song
Great reaction! The bass player goes off during a ton of live videos. Start with the official live "Onset", and I'll email more to you.
Band maid rock ..dive more to them
B-M does every genre there is, but if you like this old school rock, you should try their latest video, "Shambles". You will get more head bopping rock riffs, brutal bass and crazy drums than you can handle and see how they have evolved over ten years. Try "From Now On" if you want to hear the best progressive rock ever.
You guys should check out some of their live videos, I would suggest "Domination" (Live) and the older instrumental "Onset" Live
And this wasn't even written by them. Wait until you hear THEIR own written music. It's levels above this. You think this bass line is good? You ain't heard nothing yet.
Wait till you see a live video!
Welcome Boys? I see everyone has filled you in properly, so I'll just say hello.
👋
You want to see where they are at now....? The instrumental "From Now On" is a good showcase of their talent.
Watch any official live performance. Domination is recommended. The bass is featured in many of their songs.
I'm not sure if you have ever reacted to Lovebites, but if you like Band-Maid you will love them. They just drop a live video for M.D.O. and it's amazing. I personally think that Lovebites is a top 5 band in the world. And I love Band-Maid also.
We did check out lovebites! They are great!! -J
You love Bass you are gonna be THRILLED with this group. So many songs so much MISA!
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
Check out "Freedom" live for an awesome drum solo!

I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from:
*2017-STUDIO COAST*
*2018-Zepp Tokyo*
*2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA*
*2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC*
In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. Rock On! 🤘

Band Maid Manners and Black Hole bass boom boom slappedy the bass her name is Misa by the way cheers bro's
Do Bandmaid Onset live. You want solos from all of em? There you go.
Freedom Official Live video....
