+Yves Tobon get yourself a good octave and a fuzz, one octave down It'll blow your socks off so much fun :O I use a EHX pitchfork and a Sodamizer, both are great on their own, but make for an absolute power couple together :D

I actually use a BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal. I have it connected to a boost pedal and Harmonix octave. I been looking to change up the set up because I do a lot of alternative/indie music but with more distortion from the guitar. I want to try out different pedals because I want to keep the attack from my guitar but without drowning the notes if you get what I mean?

Ritwick Das They’re definitely mainstream (alternative mainstream probably). They get prominent festival slots, can probably sell out arenas and in the UK are played by at least 5 mainstream radio stations I can think of (Radio 1, Radio X, Absolute, Kerrang! and Radio 6).

zamkowicz Being an absolutely amaxing riff machine doesn't hurt either. They amaze me as well. Drummer is underrated as well, at least as far as delivery goes. Dude's a machine.

7:25 is the moment to me that shows why these guys are so insanely good. They leave so much space for each other. The fucking "Go hit that fill, man" look on his face when he makes sure absolutely no sound from his instrument is clashing with the drums.
Spotting a few kids in this crowd is a sign of 2 things.
1. A-Class Parenting.
2. New hope for Rock.

Being an old school metal head who was around for 70s 80s and 90s, I'm generally not impressed with newer bands. I have to say Royal Blood is legit! Haven't come across a band that rocks this hard in many years, especially being that it's just the two of them. Brilliant🤘

I was here! Unbelievable set, followed like 20 minutes by catfish and the bottle men, easily the best 2 sets of the weekend! I think you'll find he's chewing gum for another reason than to keep his vocal chords warm and mouth moist😂😂

There's a reason you don't see many two man bands. Hell, you don't see many three man bands, much less two.
The less players you have in a band, the more space you have to fill. Not an easy thing to do.

This performance is just one example of why foo fighters chose royal blood to be their warm up act for many of their concerts!!! Love these guys . Rock n Roll is most definitely still alive !! :)

Whoever mixed them is a fucking genius, everything is just the right volume, although the vocals could be a little louder and more rounded out, but everything else is fuckkng perfect
Not a huge fan of Royal Blood, however I saw them support the Foo Fighters in Milton Keynes in September and they were incredible. Like I said, not a number one fan but I can appreciate the show they put on. Loved the Iron Man encore at the end, and whatever it was at the end, quality!

They are unreal live, and incredibly loud. From a guitarist perpsective, its an immense wall of sound.
Best fucking band to come out of the UK from 2010 onwards. They are so unique and they have such a completely different tone and sound to any band Ive ever heard. Its such a dark, heavy, high octane sound. As a mash up, it has the psychdelic qualities of QOTSA, heavy riffs of Muse/RATM, coupled with the sqealing sounds of the White Stripes.
Mike clearly takes a lot of inspiration from 70's/80s heavy metal sounds as well.
They will be kings of music soon, I promise :)

Mike had joked in some interview that they must've gotten two million views on a video all from the same person just refreshing. That person is me. With this video. I've watched this set hundreds of times. It never gets old. I think I know these versions better than the studio versions. *Damn*, they're a couple of sexy f#%kers!
Side note: The Black Sabbath outro kills me. I had spent the entire time thinking of how much the crowd sounded like Beavis and Butthead as they sang along to the bass. Hahahah.

You’ll find the answer if you look at other comments but I’ll still shine some light for you. Among the plethora of effects Mike uses. To get somewhere in the region of this tone I recommend 1 (or 2) octave pedals and a fuzz pedal. If you want to really experiment with tone then I’d highly recommend getting a digital modelling amp. I have one myself and it’s pretty much all I ever use.
