One of the biggest “What If” scenarios when it comes to Tatum & Brown is what if Gordon didn’t get injured in the opening minutes of the 2017-18 season? Would that have hindered the growth and development of Brown & Tatum? Really interesting when u think about it.
Imo a better question is if the whole team could have functioned and won a championship which includes kyrie. Can't forget how well the celtics played together before and after Hayward went down, as brief as that time period was. Craziest possible butterfly effect.
Just to play the devil's advocate, the fact that the Celtics went to the conference finals without Irving and Hayward actually might have set the team back. I watched nearly every game the next season, and it was glaringly obvious that JB, Tatum, and Smart had decided that they were the future and could win without those two. It got to the point that Kyrie, JB, and Jayson would take turns playing one-on-five and Hayward became nothing more than a decoy. The team has never fully recovered. these are one of the best pods for basketball man. love it. Keep it up JJ
All the younger guys are comfortable with JJ Reddick in this setting because they all used to hit clutch 3's with him on their franchise mode when they would trade for a clutch 3pt catch and shoot guy but couldn't afford Klay Thompson so they grew a bond with him
Tatum is literally my favorite young player matter my favorite player in nba. It's good to see young Lions being humble about their talents
He put it in perspective saying the grass isn't always greener and I like that mindset
JT's emotional maturity is something to behold
JJ can get his peers to open up…what a time to be alive…as sports fans we live in a time where we can get a look behind the curtains of what really goes on with these teams/franchises across all leagues!
This is why Jj Reddick's podcast is important. It allows the player to say what they want!
We're in The Fukkin Finals 💪 Boston in 6
I just respect Tatum how he went up to smart man to man and had a convo about it instead of tweeting or doing some media stuff to bash smart back
agreed!!
As a Raps fan who’s doesn’t like the Celtics, this interview made me respect Tatum even more
After a rough start, the Celtics are somehow leading the East in point differential. The players, coach, GM are finding their way.
After watching this, when Bleacher Report is gonna upload highlights of this guy, Ima like em.
Honestly Smart was right about them not being play makers & passing the ball.
I can understand why Smart said he loved you guys before the trade deadline. Very mature and understanding reaction to what happened. They seem to all have a pretty good relationship.
Dude is wise beyond his years
I was never much of a fan of Jason Tatum mainly because I’m a Heat fan and our two teams have had a rivalry for a while now. But after watching a few interviews with him, he has definitely grown on me. Young well spoken dude great player could tell the guy is a man of intellect. Respect to Tatum great player
Wow this show seriously exposes how bad ESPN is. This is so real. ESPN is pretty much just TMZ
That's it I don't consider ESPN relevant media
JB has shown himself in the finals and playoffs overall, you better be as great if not greater if you want to win, had you be a superstar this finals yall wouldve won easilly
As a Celtics and Raptors fan, don’t wanna see a legend of duo break out AGAIN after 20 years and then thinking “what if” when they retire.
Just become a fan of Tatum, so humble and yet so honest, and so mature at his age. Wow.
Redick and Gilbert need a podcast
Tatum one of most understanding players keeps it 💯 and doesn’t make it up to you to take it apart
Good interview- subbed
Amazed with Tatum’s maturity! This definitely adds to his dearness to me
“Do you want to be here, and we’re both like yeah” 🥲
the most important part of a dynamic duo is both parts wanting to coexist
as a lakers fan i love watching them as a duo
Yes as a Celtics fan! I appreciate your honesty
Correct. The grass is not always greener. Because ya'll be wearing the greenest uniforms in the NBA! Looking good Too! Great season in 21-22 and can't wait to see this team in the 2023 NBA Finals!
Good work
Should have kept Scary Terry. He played team ball instead of stop the ball and one on one time, everyone else on offense watch.
Subscribed! Love your podcasts!
I was hoping Celtics wouldn’t trade JB, been a fan since his rookie years and watching him grow into a all star.
same man JB my fav player no doubt
Dam man my guy said it perfect! We don't need to break up these two up. We need to continue to let them work!! I'm in my late 30s an honestly. They have been two of my favorite guys to watch an cheer for. It isn't always perfect but like he said. They are figuring it out. An once the celtics finally do something to make them better! Like adding that 3rd guy to tale some of the load off of them two!. That's a lot to ask for! To have to perform every single night cause nobody else really can on the team!!
Jayson had one of the best rookie seasons I've ever seen
im glad jt witnessed isaiah, its the energy we need out here in boston
its crazy how intimate these conversations are. Who tf needs ESPN?! Gimme JJ
Impressed with jj interviewing skills
Now they goin go the NBA Finals 💯
