It may be prudent to consider the following points in your search: location (near a pharmacy, grocery, food, public transport), safety and security (for peace of mind), a unit big or spacious enough for living comfort and work, amenities inside the unit and what the place can offer (for ease and convenience, so I don't have to stress about the little things in life I sometimes neglect to think about like heat, noise etc.). But, of course, no matter what you choose, I'm sure it would be the one you feel most at home with. Love your adventures.
Please take into consideration the location. Both of you for sure will be going out a lot, going to events and concerts. So choose one that is accessible to a lot of areas. Maybe you can consider checking out Light Residences. This is along EDSA and very accessible to the MRT which you can ride if you wish to go to Araneta in Cubao if you will watch concerts, ride to SM Megamall or 1 ride to SM Makati/Ayala, and also 1 ride going to SM North.
Mi Amor💋💋 congrats on finally progressing towards a new abode! I see the hard work is paying off! Grass Condo #2 with the work station is my pick for 19k well priced and the pool gives the big Tick Goodluck with the next chapter 😉
Hi, good luck with your apartment hunting! Personally, I think these are what Id consider: Furniture/appliances available in the unit. Surrounding areas of the unit (schools, markets/shops & neighbours) - these affect the noise daily. Price Ventilation/Air conditioning - It can get really hot&humid! Security I honestly won't worry about the swimming pool. I think as you guys are content creators anyway, I think travelling to the beaches and resorts is additional content you can consider! If this is also considered, you won't have to worry too much about your living conditions as you'll be out and about a lot of times. Hopefully, you find something that you truly desire! A the same time, I am sure you'll find a place like home in the Philippines!
Make sure the air conditioner units are inverter aircons. If they’re not, the electricity bill will be higher. Also right now for 3 months, I don’t use aircon that much because it’s cool at night (I only use electric fan). I only use aircon when summer season starts usually at the end of March.
Wow Sol and Luna, your Tagalog speaking has improved tremendously. Looking for a base condo there is a tiring process, to choose the right one that has space to move around and a storage area to stow clothes and suitcases. Since you guys are always on the go, having a home base saves more money compared to staying in hotels. stay positive and be safe, God bless
I love the last unit. It's spacious, with modern furnishings and looks well-maintained. No need for a washing machine; a laundromat is surely just nearby. Wow, I have no idea condos could still rent this ridiculously low esp one located in an upscale area of the city with full amenities (gym, pool, private theater, etc.). P19k/month, that is insane! In Jacksonville, Fla., where I used to live, a unit like that could go upwards of $3,000. I may be quoting at the minimum level, as the US is experiencing a historic high inflation rate.
Can't wait to see which condo you choose. I think the washing machine would be a useful appliance for you, but the fresh feeling you get from condo #3 is great too. Just choose wherever you feel most comfortable in and of course where you feel safest. Love that you are keeping active, making us feel like we are there with you on your adventures 😊 As for puto, I like the buttered puto of Goldilocks. There are a lot of Goldilocks branches in malls. Puto is also best paired with dinuguan (pig blood stew). Enjoy and take care Sol and Luna 💕
Thanks for sharing how difficult it is to hunt for condo unit that suits you especially with the amenities, furniture and budget considerations. This will be helpful to others as well.
Hola Sol & Luna.. for me forget about acqua res..its not that accesinle by public transport..u just have to choose bet grass #2 & #3..its near the mrt station jeepneys n bus n tricycles plus u have d sm north n trinoma malls plus the supermarkets..and you will have neighbor bloggers likeTrifate (fracker biscuit boys from d US) & korean Filipino Boo.😂
Tus vlogs han sido tan bien curados. 😍 Yes, you’re visiting BUT you’re truly engaging with our culture (instead of being just observers who *mostly* hop from province to province for road trips and beaches). And none of them have even heard of Porque by Maldita! 😂🇵🇭❤️🇩🇴. Bueno suerte with the condo! 🤞🏽🙏🏼
You usually have to choose between a large space but an older unit or a new unit with smaller space. a good compromise would be to get a larger space then invest on upgrading the furniture. it may cost a lot at the beginning, but with the lower monthly rent compared to the new smaller and hotter ones, the investment would be worth it. But ofc, if you find a space that's in a good location, well within your budget and accommodates the space you need with the furnishings you like, then go for it! ✨
I love the last one. It’s seems comfortable and spacious for you two. And plus the pull out bed!!! If you guys move around a lot while sleeping, you don’t have to worry about disturbing each other while you sleep now 😅 joke lang.
The problem in aqua residence is that it gets flooded especially when its rainy season and would be hard to go in and out of the building. Maybe that is why the name is "Aqua Residence?" 🤣. But maybe it is a good thing because you get a free pool outside connected to the river 🤣.
Ladies, I wonder how your folks back home react every time you say 'puto' 4:58 Nakakaloka! 😂😂 There are newer condos that are also furnished around the MOA area, but rent ranges from 25K to 30K for a 1-bedroom unit. Glad you've finally settled in. Ingat lagi, ha? 😘💕
Hahahaha we had a video call with our friends yesterday. We showed them a puto package. Their reaction was hilarious when they read the name in the package hahahaha
Grass Condo #2 seems best, if the bathroom is as nice as Grass Condo #3. it makes sense though if you choose #3 for the extra space. excited for y’all 🎉
Hi Sol & Luna, hope you will find the right and suitable place for you. If you are going to get a unit with A/C, make sure it is an inverter unit to ensure you will save power. Otherwise, you might end up paying lots of money for electricity. Please put that one into consideration. Keep safe :)
getting your clothes washed and dried at any nearby laundromat was a very easy process when i used to live in a condo in manila. some even pick up your dirty clothes from your unit, and return them at your door at an agreed upon time. but it's up to you guys.
in Here in the Philippines, We Have 4 Different Kind Of Puto in Common... Puto is Paired in Called " SALABAT " Means... Crush Ginger Hot Tea Soup & " DINUGOAN "... We Have Many Local Versions Of Rice Cakes in Here in the Philippines!
So far the last one which is spacious. Forget about the washing machine you can always go to the laundromat. Not bad for the price. But you should also consider the security and safety.
Already see the camera quality difference 😭 it's worth it ate Sol and Luna, can't wait for the future vlogs! I love the Grass Residence condo #3, love the space and the design looks updated so it's fine.
I would recommend Grass Residences especially the last one. 1. Owned by SM thus connected by a walkway/foot bridge to SM North-EDSA 2. Walking distance to 2 other posh malls (TriNoMa and Vertis North) 3. Near LRT and MRT terminals and along major roads (EDSA, West Avenue, North Avenue thus easier to go around the city 4. Pool, gym (must be included in the "Monthly Due" (not part of the rent) for residents 5. Near hospitals, churches, markets, spas 6. Cozy and secured despite the crowded mall 7. SMDC condos have quake-proofing system in their foundation
Good and very interesting contend, you girls got the knowledge for not falling into those condos, it is better to hunt for the good ones and low prices, sometimes condos wasn’t that big and not looking good but expensive prices
During our last two trips home to Manila, we were staying at my late aunt's condo in Mandaluyong. It was called Flair condominums. Nearby condos will be SM Light Mall condos and Soho condos. Maybe those condos have rentals. Thankfully that side is just walking distance going to Shangrila Hotel and SM Mega Mall. But I was usually just at SM Light Mall, I hate way too heavy crowds at Mega Mall unless I really have to meet family or friends there. Those condos are in an area called Crossing. Always try to check mobile phone signal strength and wifi, that is always my problem when I am in Manila. Also having a walking distance access to MRT was also a plus factor since traffic can really be terrible along EDSA. That area is also near an open space park used to be known as EDSA Central, not sure what they actually call it now, which is a plus factor in densely populated Metro Manila. As to the condos you were choosing from, I did not get info as to the internet/mobile phone signal. I will rule out Eastwood City, I have experienced going there, it is not easy to commute going there, unless always using Grab services. I would maybe narrow down your list to the ones in Mandaluyong. Btw what deposit requirement will they need..that varies depending on your landlords. Good luck on your apartment hunting!
WHAT YOU LIKE MOST , WAS THE ONE I LIKE ALSO...ACTUALLY ITS MUCH BETTER IF YOU RENT AN APARTMENT RATHER THAN CONDO, BUT YOU MUST CONSIDER THE SAFETY ORTHE SECURITY, A NOT SO TALL BLDG. WAS A LOT MORE BETTER, SO YOU ARE SAFE FROM EARTHQUAKE AND FIRE...AND THE AREA PROXIMITY TO ALL THE CONVENIENCE OF WHAT YOU NEED ,LIKE GROCERY STORE...SO GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU..
Mandaluyong is my hometown...if you walk just a few blocks from Acqua, you're going to find extremely affordable eats in carinderias... actually, my BFF co owns a unit there... wish you lots of luck finding the most suitable for your needs and your budget.. abrazos desde NYC 😘❤️🙏🙏🙏
I live in Acqua and you are right, some celebrities live here but they are in the more expensive towers. The tower where you're at is the more affordable one but still looks fancy.
Tip: Avoid Eastwood because it stands very near (almost on, in fact) the Marikina Fault Line which has been predicted for years by scientists to cause the "big one". Mandaluyong is in the middle of the metropolis and easily accessible except during heavy traffic and floods, but so is every other place. Price and comfort should be utmost.
@@SolLunaTV Like the big earthquake in Turkiye. We had one in northern Luzon in 1991 (Magnitude 7.7) but the big one in Manila has been on the scientists' scope for almost a century. Praying it doesn't come. Smaller tremors are good and welcome; they relieve pressure and may prevent the biggie. No worries in faith. :)
Yes they will stay longer because there's a lot of place and islands in their backetlist including zamboanga city to find dora, vigan city, boracay, el nido, coron, bohol, cebu, siargao etc. Hahaha.. im just guessing, who knows? Maybe?
I'm watching you guys in California! Try to go to China town , you gonna love it . I've been away 25 years already. I miss my country because 9f the food . God Bless you guys & be safe .By the way go to pawnshop & buy jewelry. A lot of Filipino went to Saudi Arabia, too much fun & they pawn there jewelry. When you buy hide it carefully.
I wish you could go in Siargao. You'll love it there. A todos los hispanohablantes, 'Puto' no es un prostituto en Filipinas. It's food that you can really eat.
that 2nd condo you saw where the A/C was very noisy, could be fixed. I think that A/C needs to be serviced or better yet, replaced. You can ask the LandLord to do that if you can. More likely the Landlord would not be able to rent that place to the next tenant after you because the noise of the a/c is intolerable. Everything in the Philippines can be negotiated you only need to ask.
