We're continuing the series of bottles that might suck, and this week we're trying out Bib & Tucker, a small batch 6-year high-rye Tennessee whiskey based bourbon.
This is a "rebroadcast" of our Facebook Live "Bourbcast". Better than a podcast, the bourbcast is a live video broadcast, interactive, and can be seen LIVE each Thursday at 7:00pm EST, at beautifulbourbon

2:11 It's not just the still that's expensive. Getting the necessary federal and state permits (if Ohio even allows home distilling) is surely not cheap.
6:31 The still on MASH didn't look like an actual still - though I didn't know that until the last couple of years. 😂
18:36 Under Tennessee law, for it to be Tennessee whisky you have to make it in Tennessee. If some of it's from Lawrenceburg (or anywhere else outside of Tennessee), it's illegal to call it Tennessee whisky.

In Ohio we're allowed to have a certain amount of home made hooch, I think 6 gallons, without the need for permits, but of course, it's illegal to sell it. Until I helped my friend make brandy, I thought the still on M*A*S*H was at least SORTA real. Silly me.
