This was such a joy to watch! I've learned a lot and I'm excited to see the journey you and the girls go on. You're doing a wonderful thing taking care of the bees!
You have come a long way since you first set up your bees! I admire the way you decided you were interested in beekeeping and have put so much effort and time to learn how to care for the bees.
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! Beekeeping has been such a rewarding journey; they are really fascinating to work with and observe. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, and thank you for watching!
I think you are amazing! I really like how you explain in simple terms what you are doing and why you are doing it. Sadly, we don't have as many bees in my neighborhood in Northern California (US) as we used to, but i try to plant some flowers every year to attract the ones I can. My favorites are violas. Thank you so much for sharing your beekeeping journey with us. Wishing you the best! ❤️🐝

Hey ❤ this is bowwowed private land. But, some associations have a space and you can have a hive, or most people in my group ask for land from a farmer. Most farmers are happy to have bees on their land and you can give them honey in exchange for the space. Some even have hives at the back of businesses and schools. I know my friends dad has some hives in an industrial estate on land behind it, also roof tops are becoming popular in cities. I highly recommend completing a beginners course first and you can even volunteer with local beekeepers to get a feel for them, as the first time you open a hive it can be intimatating. Best of luck on your journey if it is something your decide to do.

I am terrified of bees. Well, all bugs. So I'm watching all your bees flying around and it looks like they fly off the screen edge. I caught myself looking in the room for the bee.😂🤣 I forgot I was watching UA-cam. 😂
Haha, I totally get that! It's funny how easy it is to forget you’re watching a video when those bees seem so real! 😄 Don’t worry, no bees in the room-just on screen! 😂 Wishing you a great week ahead! 🐝😊
Wow, that was fascinating, although I preferred just listening to your sweet voice. I'm not sure I like actually looking at bugs, it makes me feel itchy. So, I'm now curious about bee sex. Are all of your bees girls? and where are the men bees? How do they mate? It's all very interesting, like when they cleaned off their dunked friend. Thanks! I like your healthy curiosity and adventure.
I’m so glad you found it fascinating, even if the bugs made you feel a bit itchy! I totally get that, as sometimes just hearing about things is easier than seeing them up close. To answer your curiosity, yes, most of the bees in a colony are girls-worker bees! The worker bees are responsible for most of the tasks around the hive, like foraging, cleaning, and taking care of the queen. The male bees, called drones, exist for one main purpose: mating with a virgin queen during her mating flight. Once the queen is mated, she doesn’t need to mate again for the rest of her life. During the mating process, drones leave the hive and fly to a drone congregation area where queens from multiple hives gather. The queen mates with several drones in mid-air, and after mating, the drones unfortunately die, as their reproductive organs are torn off in the process (quite dramatic, right?!). I really appreciate your healthy curiosity and love for adventure!

haha!
Wishing you all the best for 2025!❤
Same to you! Thanks for watching x
😳😮
