Good review. I have the Optoma UHZ65UST for 2 years now but getting tired of the rainbow effects on that single laser projector. Will buy this AWOL soon.
Thanks for your review! I noticed in the menu, there is a "zoom" setting that was set to "Auto". I'm looking to deploy this on a wall where I will NOT get 100" before hitting a corner. 2 questions: Can this projector be offset to one side, at an angle and will it auto-keystone. Can I take this screen down to ~85" or 75"?
@@ManShed Thanks a lot! I am currently designing furniture for this projector, It would be quite similar to yours, I am curios what is the nearest in terms of bottom line of screen, so projector can display image, based on such setup. I am affraid, since its hidden in drawer, top edge of furniture can cover projector laser? What is distance from top of ur furniture to bottom of the screen in ur example? Many many thanks!
Oh, it supports 3D!? But no VRR… Let me know when they have a 4K 120hz VRR 3D projector. Already have a 4K 120hz VRR OLED, really been missing 3D since switching to 4K.
@@Abranlumi oh yes, I must’ve missed that. I will get some plans together and share it with all of you. It was super easy to build. You can watch this video here that I did showing how I built it: ua-cam.com/video/4OOkeGJoAu8/v-deo.html
I think the price for bigger TV’s is gonna make this a hard sell. Got my 98” QM7 for $2k. The QM8 is cheaper than this too. I’ll have to check out B’s video doing it at 150”. Like that channel.
Until you see this in person... at like 120" or bigger.... you can't put in your 2 cents... it's really impressive and better than even being in a theater. 🎉
Anybody saying any projector with a contrast ratio of 2500:1 Is a good image is a bold face lier. That is poor quality in projector standards with epson and other manufacturers producing projectors with a ratio of 2 million to 1. Those who make projector with contrast ratios below 10k :1 rarely even list the ratio. They would rather list the lumens. Meanwhile you'd be left with black levels so poor you won't even like watching it. 15k to 1 is at least bear minimum in my book. Anyway his blinking isn't human like and very robotic like news anchors who lie all the time too.
Use coupon code MANSHED to get a special discount using this link on the AWOL LTV-3500 PRO: shrsl.com/4h4v7
Got an extra projector for your old mate?
was there a time limit on the discount code? Not working
No😡
Where did you get the entertainment console from?? I need that for my AWOL
I designed and built it myself. I won’t make some build plans and give it to all of you.

Wonderful advertisement.
Any idea what a good universal remote would be for this? It's not available on the harmony. Might be time for a change.
I use and recommend this one: amzn.to/46LUt7h

I have the original 2500. I love it. But wish I could have. Bought the 3500 pro.
It’s so worth the upgrade.

What clr motorized screen would you recommend with the ltv 3500
What size is the screen you are showing? Also, is your ceiling 7ft?
The screen is 100 inches and yes, it is about 7 feet.

So I don't have alot of ambient light concerns but I do have ceiling light concerns. I see these alr motorized screens but are clr and alr the same?
@ManShed, where did you get this automatic tray - I love this idea.
It is this one: amzn.to/3ytkYBQ

Great review. Do you have a link to the cabinet the projector is sitting in, or is it DIY?
The design built it myself. I will get some build plans together.

How far does it need to be from the wall for a 120" projection?
27.5"
Any reason why he hasnt responded to questions about the console?
what question did I miss? I get hundreds of comments daily so I can't respond to them all but I do my best.
@@ManShed A few folks are asking about the cabinet.

Hey, how is the fan noise?
notable but not an issue.

The SPDIF optical is an OUTPUT, not input.
$6000 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Living under a rock!
They need to fix first the issue on stuck/ dead pixels. thousands of dollars down the drain.. too many complaints to ignore the issue
A beast and expensive😂
not reel 4k juste an other 1080p wobulation
The ALR screen position is too high, the midpoint of the screen ought to be the height when sitted on sofa.
When we are sitting in bed watching our eye level is at the midpoint. The ceiling is very low where the screen is.
Cheaper to get a 4k projector
I see Mr. Shark Tank is involved. He probably invested in that company too big.

Best is OLED TV!!!!!
ok, so how much would you have to pay for 100" OLED TV?
Good luck buying a 150’’ Oled 😂 $$$
@@Ryeguy5 exactly
@@ManShed with the new advanced black setting now on this model what score would you give the blacks out of 10?..
Is this guy unaware you can get a TCL 98" for $2k? And there is ZERO set up with your projector and screen.
But if he wants to switch to 150’’ down the road he can. AWOL is amazing
@Ryeguy5 the tcl will destroy it in any metric besides size though.
some people me included just prefer a projected image

Does a TLC have 3D 🤔 probably not. I have a huge library of 3D movies. I’d like AWOL in my theatre room
