That little flying pig made me laugh, and that piggy smile. So Cute! One of your next BINGO squares could be to use sextuple treble or septuple treble stich. They are actually fun to do and look neat. You can thank Complicated knots for that one.
As a spoony, I hear you!!! I didn't use stitch markers when I was young. I didn't start having my health issues until I was in my twenties so my teens the concept of stitch marker made no sense. Now, I don't know what I would do without them! What a great example of why I don't like working with novelty yarns. Where do the stitches go? LOL PIG so cute! and then wings!!! and then Piggiefish!!! Adorable! I truly love your bingo challenges!
I can’t crochet to save my life, but I do knit and I think those novelty yarns are probably meant more for knitting. Being a fellow spoonie I would have had a massive issue with the ‘no stitch markers’ I need them to keep track of what I am doing 😂
I was so excited when I saw that you made another bingo video!! Crochet a game, combine THREE patterns, crochet something for your neck, follow somebody else's video tutorial.
Not a suggestion per se, but a fun visualization idea: print out the bingo card and put the finished little guys on each of their squares! absolutely loving this series
I love these videos! Challenge suggestion: Make something you enjoy, or alternatively, make something you have wanted to for a long time. A nice easy one to add in if the challenges are getting too cruel!
For the novelty yarn that you used, there’s a video I saw (not sure from who) that showed how to use that kind and it REALLY helps. Use a contrasting colour for the regular yarn. You will not be able to see it once the piece is done, but it shows up enough that you don’t lose your stitches.
Brilliant! Great fun once again, I was so happy to see this in my notifications! I absolutely love that little pig: as nature intended, with wings and part jellyfish, they're all adorable. I hope you will release the pattern one day. As for crocheting without stitch markers - cruel and unusual punishment was spot on! The anxiety, the stress, the counting with brain fog.... I don't think I could have done it!
Love the bow and pig ❤❤ Some suggestions maybe - crochet a cartoon character. Crochet an insect. Crochet a fruit. Crochet your pet bird. Crochet blindfolded. Crochet something with sewing/embroidery thread. 😊 Visiting from complicated knots 🪢 ❤ Love your Chanel
Work over a light, or lightbox with eyelash yarn. I used a camping lantern and paper to make the area of light smaller. (So you are just looking through the crochet, rather than into a bare lightbulb)
I actually really liked the dragonfruit! Not gonna lie, I was kind of hoping for a dragonfruit piggy for the combo, but the jelly-pig was still a winner! Maybe next time we could have a closer/longer look at your creations? I'm in awe that you can make something 'just like that' - I've such a long way to go for such crochet bragging rights after only 18 or so months in 🤗🧶
Please, for the love of all things piggyfish, we need a pattern for this baby!! I would make so many of them in absolutely ridiculous colors and love them forever!
I have tried crochet with a few different novelty yarns and I had the same reaction as you! 😂. I hated the whole experience. I also tried knitting with those yarns and it went WAY better. I think it's because all the stitch loops are maintained on the needles which makes them easier to see.
Sorry I postet my ideas under the wrong video, here again: - use your least favourite hook handheld (knife or pen) - every round is a new hooksize - use button-eyes - free pattern but only use other stiches - crochet something useful for crocheting - do a granny square - only use double stiches - pattern in rounds but beginning with the last round and ending with the first - try filet crocheting Have fun!
I remember when I was first learning to make amigurumi, and I did the “crochet inside out challenge” every time! It took me until my fourth or fifth project before someone told me that I was supposed to flip it. I don’t know if I have the heart to do inside out decreases again!
I think that's almost a right of passage when you're first learning to crochet amigurumi lol. I remember doing the exact same thing, wondering why my creatures looked kind of different from the pictures in the instructions 😂.
as a spoony, i totally get it. im really new to crochet as well and it can be super difficult to do when the brain fog hits so i think ill definitely invest in stitch markers instead of miscounting or forgetting what number im on 😂
Micro Crochet with sewing thread and a 0.5 mm or 0.75mm crochet hook would be a fun and challenging Bingo square. Or make a few Micro crochet with different 1.0mm and under hooks and different thread, Embroidery floss multiple strands of embroidery floss or Separate into single strand, crochet thread sized 3 or 10 et cetera. You can do a Franken pattern Bingo card where each square is a different shape pattern. That could make for some very interesting Creature
Sounds like torture, I'm in lol. ....and I don't want to give too much away but I might be a couple of steps ahead on the whole franken pattern Bingo thing 😉.
@SkeinSpider I highly recommend the magnify glass that are wearable and come with a variety of different lenses for micro Crochet and lots of extra light. Micro crochet is a lot of fun. However I do feel very goofy wearing the the magnify glasses
I have the same yarn you made that bow with! You completely inspired me. I had no idea what to do with it because it was both thinner and shinier than I thought it would be when I got it. I think I’ll make a snood for my hair. ❤ Fellow 🥄 unite! Only online because we’re all too damn sore to leave the house half the time. ❤❤
@@SkeinSpider lol for real! It’s nice that we have our online communities though! Lessens the sense of frustration and even anxiety for me tbh. You help with that A LOT. Thanks for giving us a space to create and have fun. ♥️
Maybe you could do a square quilt (?) Challenge were instead of making one piece per box you do one part of the project. E.g. everything square-based and later sewn into a hoodie or bag with a certain theme or some magic beast were you use different techniques and stuff for each body part Also, i was kinda surprisedto see how much you struggled with the left side amigurumi. I use that on a regular basis!
I love this idea of crochet bingo! im thinking of doing this myself at home without posting it. I hope thats ok. Since I have some projects i want to crochet soon, that would be a great way of deciding on what to do first. now that wouldnt be bingo anymore but at least i wont have to decide myself.
Hi fellow spoonie! Yes, I can't tell you how many times I've had to rip out stitches because somehow I'm at the end and I'm short 5 stitches! I've had pieces where I use 7 or 8 markers around just because I can't keep track.
Novelty yarn is fine for knitting, but terrible for crochet. I won't use it either. If someone gives me some I either donate it or chuck it (depending on how much there is). I do love the piggy-fish (or is it a jelly-pig?) though. Such fun.
When you're done with whatever it is your making in these challenges, could you show us with your crochet area camera so we can see them? Like you did with the pig before you put wings on it. I wanted to see the bow. 🥺
It is funny how strange the inside out is for you. For the longest time I did not know that there is a "right" and a "wrong" side to crochet. It was only like two or so years ago, when I started crocheting with video tutorials, that I realised, that everyone crochets the other way around. I just did it from the inside always, because I found that handy 😂
how about "design something from a video game" so like anything from an animal crossing bell bag to a mario mushroom or fire flower or even a character.
Hi crochet lovers. I am new to crocheting but I need some help, crochet materials are very scarce and I am still very young and I don't have the money to continue this hobby. Please can I get help or resources to start pleaseee..
Charity shops often have part balls and part packs of yarn for very little cost, especially if they are unfashionable colours. EBay sometimes has destash from people doing clearance that can get you going for low cost. I find that I get a lot of mileage from unraveling work I don’t like and reusing yarn when I’m practicing too. Not everything is a final project. Sometimes it is just practice. I’ve reworked yarn ten times!
All the above. Thrift/charity shops can also be a good place to get knit jumpers which you can then unravel. Buy/swap/sell groups on social media are another resource. And, if you're able to, spread the word to friends/family/community groups, someone might have unused yarn stashed away that they'd be happy to give to a good home.

For me it is obvious that the pig and it's jellyfish-hybrid-form is the best pattern of this video! What a funny and cute idea! 😄
It was my favourite too.
Glad piggy-fish is getting the love they deserve lol because it was easily my favourite crochet creation from this round.
That little flying pig made me laugh, and that piggy smile. So Cute! One of your next BINGO squares could be to use sextuple treble or septuple treble stich. They are actually fun to do and look neat. You can thank Complicated knots for that one.
Frog an item and then crochet a frog with that yarn

PIG so cute!
and then wings!!!
and then Piggiefish!!! Adorable!
I truly love your bingo challenges!
Oh and I would love to make a piggiefish for my grandkids!
I'm planning to do a pattern vid for the little pig and I might just include some alternate instructions for piggyfish too 😉.
I can’t crochet to save my life, but I do knit and I think those novelty yarns are probably meant more for knitting. Being a fellow spoonie I would have had a massive issue with the ‘no stitch markers’ I need them to keep track of what I am doing 😂

Love the pigfish 😂and the flying pig ❤
Piggy fish rocks !!!!!
Stoked to see piggyfish getting so much love lol
I LOVED how the pig-jellyfish turned out ❤️
Piggyfish is a Lovecraftian nightmare and I love it
Flying piggie is my favorite 😍
Love this video. The pigelly fish is the best, followed by cake because who doesn't love cake!!
Suggestion. Make a hybrid flower or plant.
xxJane
The pig jelly cracked me up 😂
I love these videos! Challenge suggestion: Make something you enjoy, or alternatively, make something you have wanted to for a long time. A nice easy one to add in if the challenges are getting too cruel!
Great suggestions, thank you! Tbh, I could make a whole Bingo card out of 'Things I've wanted to crochet for a long time' 😂
A bingo prompt could be
‘Make an animal beginning with the first letter of the last colour yarn you used’
E.g. you last used blue yarn you make a bee
That's such a unique suggestion, love it!
Please call the next game " buggerup bingo " 😂
For the novelty yarn that you used, there’s a video I saw (not sure from who) that showed how to use that kind and it REALLY helps.
Use a contrasting colour for the regular yarn. You will not be able to see it once the piece is done, but it shows up enough that you don’t lose your stitches.
Thanks for the tip 🙂.
when it landed on "combine 2" I started slowly chanting "jelly-pig!", and!!! it is!! jellypig!!
Aw the first little jellyfish has an accidental trans flag on its head, it's so cute! The mix of all the different yarns is so fun to look at
Also lol at the piggy-fish. I reckon just one curly stinger/tail 😅😅
oh that piggy-fish is delightful, I would love to make one of those 😆
Brilliant! Great fun once again, I was so happy to see this in my notifications! I absolutely love that little pig: as nature intended, with wings and part jellyfish, they're all adorable. I hope you will release the pattern one day.

My favorita is pigfish, of course! 😍
Loved the flying pig
Work over a light, or lightbox with eyelash yarn. I used a camping lantern and paper to make the area of light smaller. (So you are just looking through the crochet, rather than into a bare lightbulb)
This was a lot of fun to see. I did a little happy dance when I saw the crochet inside out come up 😊
Loved the pig with wings and the pig jellyfish combo
I absolutely love your bingo videos
The pig was great! I would like that pattern. This was fun to watch. Thanks
stitch markers definitely my main weapon against the brain fog for sure
living for that piggyfish
I actually really liked the dragonfruit! Not gonna lie, I was kind of hoping for a dragonfruit piggy for the combo, but the jelly-pig was still a winner! Suggestion to add for the bingo card. Going to be a difficult one the blindfold Hughes muscle memory to crochet something that you know by heart.
Please, for the love of all things piggyfish, we need a pattern for this baby!! I would make so many of them in absolutely ridiculous colors and love them forever!
I would love the pattern for the pig. It is so cute! 🐖

I love to watch your podcast. I am a newbie to your channel. Thank u for your time to share

I think that's almost a right of passage when you're first learning to crochet amigurumi lol. I remember doing the exact same thing, wondering why my creatures looked kind of different from the pictures in the instructions 😂.
For novelty yarn, if you use smooth yarn ( like the yarn you typically use) with it, it works better.
as a spoony, i totally get it. im really new to crochet as well and it can be super difficult to do when the brain fog hits so i think ill definitely invest in stitch markers instead of miscounting or forgetting what number im on 😂
They're a life saver! And if you don't have any, you can always substitute them with a bobby pin, paper clip or even a bit of scrap yarn.
Use should turn those jelly fish into key chains ❤
The different color per row…..mosaic crochet does that too.

I think I suggested last time but can't remember 😅 #fibrofog but I'd love to see U crochet a cocktail! 🍹🍸
I can not live without my stitch markers
I just lovee ur setup soo muchh
From a fellow spooner I rely on stitch markers as well. You have made another fantastic video my favorite was the pig jellyfish so bloody cute.
🤩🤩🤩
I have the same yarn you made that bow with! You completely inspired me. I had no idea what to do with it because it was both thinner and shinier than I thought it would be when I got it.

A square on using sewing thread to crochet.

😂omg... it took me watching this video to learn that I crochet inside out....😅😂😂
Just say you were doing it on purpose as a stylistic choice 😉😂
Design your own chimera. Must have three heads.
By this I specifically mean three heads like the Cerberus dog.
I love this idea of crochet bingo! im thinking of doing this myself at home without posting it. I hope thats ok. Since I have some projects i want to crochet soon, that would be a great way of deciding on what to do first. now that wouldnt be bingo anymore but at least i wont have to decide myself.

I feel that!! Especially if I'm shaping something really specifically, there'll be like a dozen stitch markers in my work lol.
Subscribed from Texas here... Enjoying your fun channel ❤
You should make a square your choice❤
Aaa! I’ve been looking forwards to a part two for crochet bingo. 💚
Novelty yarn is fine for knitting, but terrible for crochet. I won't use it either. If someone gives me some I either donate it or chuck it (depending on how much there is). I do love the piggy-fish (or is it a jelly-pig?) though. Such fun.
Ive got an idea for another square: you could crochet an item that would be in a dollhouse!
I would lose track of where I am in a heartbeat 😂
When you're done with whatever it is your making in these challenges, could you show us with your crochet area camera so we can see them? Like you did with the pig before you put wings on it. I wanted to see the bow. 🥺
Challenge idea, make something with at least one skull on it.
Crochet left handed as a suggestion.
How about kitchen utensil for a bingo Square or an item for your dog x
Challenge suggestions: turn pattern into granny square.
Loved watching was wondering if you had a pattern for your blue jumper? Love the way it looks
The blue jumper was a thrift shop find so unfortunately I don't have a pattern.
how about crochet some kind of granny square
Design something using tunisian crochet

Crochet using electric fences as yarn
For sure, that seems like an excellent idea lol.
how about "design something from a video game" so like anything from an animal crossing bell bag to a mario mushroom or fire flower or even a character.
you should do bingo but your just making one project but you don´t know what it´ll be till your done
I have never mixed weights
make a pattern with the "v" stitch
