Those were the days where Bioware made games with choices that matter and story. Also the music was fantastic in Dragon Age Origin. What they have done so far is a abomination beyond the Vail. There a lot of people defending Vailguard and never played the previous games, or do not remember what an RPG used be back in the olden days.
Gifting personal items in Origins is just a treat since every character has their secret items they will be overjoyed to have and give you a little bit more lore about the item itself. Meanwhile in Veilguard, "For me?". When people called this game trash, it wasn't without reason since every character lacks any personality or that feeling that you believe they are living people.
Please tell me that that's just like one time with the gift giving and it isn't always like that? I knew it was bad but please don't tell me it's gotten even worse than i thought?
most banter you see me post here and my tiktok are filmed with "instant replay" feature. Which captures last 30 seconds so yes... banters just feel empty
i snorted when the event ended after two words, nothing prepared me for it
i reloaded thinking it was bugged
I do wonder why Lucanis' gift was a tea set, when he is a coffee drinker. And then there is an Antivan coffee set as decor for Rook's own room...
.....that's it? Veilguard can't even make gift giving scenes right?!
Yeah, the gifting system felt like it was added begrudgingly in Veilguard.
😢 a sad sad shift in the quality of game story!
i was already expecting it to be shit but this baffled me
This really bugged me! You can only give one gift and they don't even trigger any cool stories or dialogue, what's even the point?!
I watched a discord q&a and apparently there was a Person Who Had to really Fight for them to even Put the gift-giving Feature in there...
Decoration.
Ask the modern audience this game was supposedly made for.
that's so pathetic, in DAV it's like they don't even care about that gift. Rook just brought some trash in your room, that's it

Man just like jrpgs they're all becoming, grindy and linear like.
The lack of character interaction is unforgivable in Veilguard.
What’s even the point of the quest for 2 words.
I think they forgot how to make a RPG
The reactions are different when you give the gift to a romanced companion btw
in the veilguard section, look at the pots they look so low quality.
seriously??????? the difference is so funny but so sad.
Another reason not to buy it. I miss the old bioware.
why even have a gift giving system then?
Reminds me of those boring assassins creed Valhalla interactions, just lazy

I was so shocked when I found out about this 😢 also, is it me or the banners during exploration are quite short like something it's missing?

Wait... THAT'S IT?
No back story? No character development? Who wrote this crap????
Yup, that's Veilguard, good combat and art, poor dialogue and annoying characters 😔
😂😂😂 are you serious, what a shitty video game, luckily I didn't buy it and I never will
