And yes, Sera annoyed Solas, but it's absolutely not in the same way Taash could. Because Solas doesn't care about Taash the way he clearly did about Sera, which is why he kept trying to reach out to her in spite of her clear resistance. And yeah, they probably would get along, especially given how Sera loves Qunari women. In Harding's case, this also depends on Solas' relationship with the Inquisitor. And Emmrich, if he doesn't become a lich, seems to be the only one who is affable to Solas lmao. The most scathing might belong to Harding (stop with your sorry not sorry crap), Neve (you could have disabled Varric instead of killing him), and Davrin (how does it feel that you can't do your holier-than-thou crap at the face of the Dalish and the Grey Wardens). Harding is the most heartbreaking imo because both of them served the Inquisition (and I'm partial with that game) and it is clear that Harding looked up to the members of the inner circle who fought with the Inquisitor. Furthermore, Solas' apologies are nothing but lip service (unless you opt for the good ending). Don't apologize if you're doing it to soothe your own ego instead of addressing the one who you've hurt. Harding's banter really showcase how pathetic and pitiful Solas is (unless, once again, you opt for the good ending which he finally make amends to what he did by not running away from his regrets and mistakes anymore).
Despite my reservations about Veilguard, Solas remains my hands-down favorite villain. Not evil, not by any stretch, just a being with too much power who keeps making mistakes, refusing to learn from them and waking up to learn that everyone else was left holding the bag. It's why the Mythal ending is my favorite.
I like that Taash basically asked if the elves made their own body, why they didn't they made it more impressive (with wings!). Also, for all their fault, I like that Taash's love of dragon were one of their consistent likable traits.
I was looking for Solas monologues when we began fighting, the egg just won't shut up about how he is powerful and how his enemies are unintelligent, a very questionable speech for a man who just humbly asked Rook for help and accepted the fact he can't defeat Elgarnan alone. That was an eye opener for me to not redeem him on my first play lol
