I absolutely love the full movie style of your challenges. The amount of game and tactical knowledge with the skill to implement your strategies is impressive. Not only that, they are a great joy to watch.
Watching you talk so much about proper angle-of-fire for trebuchets and how important gradations in elevation are gave me Fall of the Samurai flashbacks - playing Brettonia, of all factions, like Fall of the Samurai is just wild.
During battles with reinforcments, You can click on the icon when in the battle and can drag it around the edge while doing your deployment. That way you can have them reinforce from the exact location you want but it also will increase the amount of time it takes for them to arrive if you move it far from the original point.

The best hand-waving after-the-fact in-universe explanation I can think of is, "Forsooth, but we are grubbing about in these ruins for gold and trinkets like we are filthy peasants! The Tomb Kings ALWAYS have their realm of souls Ushabti. It's a very important faction mechanic. Even my own tomb king settlements said they had none, yet in the battle, I was able to use them. It's just one of their desperately lagging behind game mechanics. Basically Skaven Menace Below but large constructs.
I dont think its a bug, just worded poorly. You cannot use the Ushabti summon until you reach Tier 3 Realm of Souls so technically it is correct before the battle saying it has 0 uses because it adds 1 use during the battle.

Possibly - the next two are already planned. After those Minotaur Only is on my short list, but I have minimal experience with the Beastmen so it will take quite a bit of prep for me to do it properly.

I personally catched this on viewing 3. Those units he is complaining about not existing on the ui is a toomking mechanic. (As probably most know) The thing I find interesting is that, this unfamiliarity points to not having played much toom kings. (Or they simply forgot the mechanic, which is also fair) This doesn't go anywhere specific, just something I found interesting to think about while watching the video. (Doing my best impersonation of an armchair psychologist)
Love these full movies. Would really really love to see you do one of these challenges with the Tomb Kings, their morale mechanic means you can do some crazy BS in really bad fights
Putting artillery on defensive fixes this issue. What's happening is that is can't shoot what it's ordered to shoot, so it tries going forward. But going forward is rarely going to help if the firing line is obstructed so it goes crazy far.
i did this not as a challenge but a playstyle back in war hammer 2 because i had not played to much of the bretonians and did not really like cav i knocked out all of the high elfs by turn 50-60 and had like 20 armies just abused the archers only Jesus are they op then i eventually got better units i just spammed full stacks of poison and fire archers they did work killed dragons, tyrion and everything else they had was a fun campaign
It is my least favorite thing when you try to click to fire on something with artillery and instead of attacking your artillery thinks you told them to walk there. So you just have like cannons or something walking across the battle doing nothing for like 10 seconds as you swap to something else before you notice. "Hey my artillery hasn't shot that unit yet." only to see them inside the melee blob.
Some hidden mechanic you can swap from land to see and the other way around even with just 1 remaing movement point but the remaining 49(cost 50) will be deducted from you next turns movement
For me it came down to the starting location. I personally just find the Tomb Kings easier to deal with than the Greenskins, vamp counts, and slaven. Also, they give roughly equal buffs to peasants.
Im kinda wondering if there is a reason why he doesnt use the faye enchantress ( gives +5 on peasant economy, so easyer start and she gives loss reduction so more genocide potential) or if he just wanted to suffer
Funny cuz bretonia gets Knight Errant and Knights of the Realm on Foot in the lore and tabletop. Knight just like being on horseback. Tho a knight on foot is badically elite heavy infantry
can you beat Total War Warhammer 3 using only skeleton Warriors skeleton spearmen and skeleton archers as the tomb Kings if you're having any trouble as in not being able to control enough armies to counterweight the lack of strong units I suggest the use of a singular mod. (dansmeah unlimited tomb king armies). that is the mod you should use if you need it
Ngl the peasant economy mechanic is really dumb. Pulling away a few thousand peasants and your economy is in the drink, but supplying over a thousand fucking knights? Pish posh, easy as pie.
Peasants work the fields, make the clothes, catch the fish, shoe the horses, cart the loads, build the infrastructure and pay the taxes. So yes, pulling peasants into war makes sense that it would tank the economy. It might be inconvenient, but to say that it is dumb is well... dumb. You seem to live a sheltered life.

It makes no sense economically, especially considering how in Medieval times levies that drew away tens of thousands of working men from their homes didn't completely tank the economy of kingdoms, because of the sheer scale of things. Fielding Knights requires a rather ludicrous amount of equipment and investment, and yet, in Total War Warhammer, fielding Knights is usually better for your economy. Which is dumb.

That means you can afford 7 units of peasants for the upkeep of one unit of knights, not to mention one unit of peasants being 160 people, compared to only 60 knights. 60 knights would have far less effect on available manpower than 1320 peasants, but they cost the same amount in upkeep per turn.
you cant witdrawe units that ar in mele you have to pul them away frist then you can witdrawe them same for attack orders or somting its a bit janky but it workes
the thing i hate about TWWH Peasants - actually medeival peasant archers were conisdered to be better than the armies own archers because hunting for their own food, made them far more experianced daily than the army. thats it, my only gripe. the peasant archers are suppose to be stronger due to constant use of their bows.
Do you have a source for this? because any archer would be practising as part of being an archer, and peasant archers will also have other professions they have to work.

His campaign is actually tons of fun (at least compared to Settra and Khatep) because of the second starting army. It's still rough, but some variety in units and starting close to a harbor/another easily accessible region as well as Repanses +research% kill trophy makes his start safer than Queen "Oh shit, Kroq-Gar and Thorek will go ham on me" Khalida, Grand Hierophant "My Winconditions lie on the other side of the map and my neighbors are strong" Khatep or Settra The (Definitely-)Perishable stuck in the middle of Grand-Araby-Royale. Do give him a spin and see if you like him :)
see funny part is if u look at the peasants stats they have higher melee defence compared to there empire counterparts & actually hold the line longer if u can keep the leadership up

Before they had a campaign they had the best infantry and for multiplayer the meta was not to take any knights
