    Hola Doctor Danny Evans!
    I've been watching and learning on your YT channel, and it's been an awesome experience so far.
    I just finished episode 16 and have noticed that it ends at 22. Will you be making more vids? I really hope so.
    Señor, create more por favor. I plan on relocating my family to Spain from the Philippines in a couple of years, and I must say that your show has been one of the most influential and effective among countless channels out there.
    Kindly continue with intermediate and advance levels for all your loyal followers.
    Muchas gracias Maestro Danny!

      Tener: to have. Tengo frio = I have cold (this is the correct way to say it). Estar = to be. Estoy contento = I am content.

    Why is EL MAQUILLAJE a masculino if it's used by Female and doesn't ends with O? Just wondering...
    I'm a newbie in Span8sh by the way...

    • @saras1435
      @saras1435 5 років тому +5

      Because in Spanish we make exceptions with words that come from other languages, using the original article of that word. And el maquillaje comes from French. Same happens with la mano ( the hand) that comes from Latin, or el mapa (the map, latin) or el sofá (the sofa, French) you have to learn the list of exceptions in Spanish. By the way, I am Spanish native. :)

    • @jguillermooliver
      @jguillermooliver 5 років тому +8

      It's not because of that. For example: El mapa comes from the complete word "mapamundi" which is masculine, the same with "la foto" witch comes from "fotografía". The gender of words has nothing to deal with the gender of the persons who use that noun. Gender of words is not about genders of the people who used them.

    I wonder why we call a shampoo shampoo- sham marriage, sham office, sham offer but when it doesn't even remind anyone of that why sham- POO? May be a conditioner could be like one....

    Just as one ought to be careful in placing the accent mark, one also has to be careful with pronunciation e.g. el piene is different in pronunciation than el pene which obviously is a penis!
