Happy to see a non-shooter/zombie killer game at #1!! Although it's a few years old and tough to compete against all the newer games, Room VR a Dark Matter still holds up with great visuals, puzzle and gameplay quality. Wishing the same dev team is working on a follow up to that one.
As a recent Quest 3 owner, I've gotta say youve got GREAT content and a lot of helpful insight into the library of games/apps. As someone with a similar love for RE4 you''ve hit the nail on the head for every recommendation here. PS Walkabout is THE game to introduce folks to IMO, myself, my brother and my dad all swapped around the headset for a front nine round of putting. Pure joy there.
I have been enjoying your channel for a long time and appreciate all the games you have in this list. I am really surprised that Dungeons of Eternity did not make this list. Your video playing DoE w/ your friends made it a must buy for me and has been one of my top favorite VR games of all time. Any reason it didn’t make the list for you?
Asgards wrath 2 is just AMAZING! So, so, so much content! It’s all made so smoothly p, the puzzles, the combat, the story. EVERYTHING! It was also free when I got it which made it all the much better!
You have NO idea how amazing both games are.. even better is the Quest 3 it's just does it all... now i even play xbox games on it on a massive screen.. playing starfield on a quest 3.... makes any PS5 fan boys jelous
Great list Ben! As you said games are personal as to what genre you like. I would add Breachers, Genotype and Into The radius for my list. Thank you! Happy New Year to you and your family!
Great list and totally agree that Walkabout Mini Golf is top, jumping on with friends from across the globe and chatting whilst trying to play is great.
I just got my first vr headset I got a quest 2 and I have been watching your videos and you are a channel that I am happy to have come across thanks man . Very informative
I haven't seen first person fighting games like Street Fighter in the list. Art of Combat for Quest is one that has amazed me. It isn't mainstream game but is really cool
Agree with most of the list but surprised Smash drums wasn't on the list. Even if you're not into drums the Arcade most is one of the best experiences I've had in VR to date. I love all types of VR games but Rhythm games is when it fully excels for me.
The biggest issue for me right now is that I started with HTC vive - (PCVR) and got myself a Quest 3 - Red Matter 2 Quest3 enhanced, was the first game I got, then every other game in the store just look like cartoony VR stuff from 5-7 years ago, and Red Matter 2 has set the standard for Standalone-VR impossibly high for me. I can't find anything in this class as standalone.
When I hadn’t seen Walk About Mini Golf by number 5 I was getting nervous that it wasn’t going to be mentioned.. but it is for sure my number 1 game too!!
Something just struck me after watching probs around 100 of these types of videos, they're most likely ads, I can't seem to find a reason that this never got to my head before. But some games on every list / vid, just don't fit the general audience of a high value game. At the end of the day, we all need to float our boat, and this is a valid way of doing that on youtube so fair enough. J keep that in mind.
I'm curious why PowerBeatsVR didn't make the list, while the sorta-similar Pistol Whip placed so high. I got my first headset, a Quest 3, only a couple days ago and played both for just a bit in SteamVR, and I didn't see any huge difference in fun or quality. Hopefully I'll be able to get my VR legs eventually to enjoy AW2. Haven't tried it yet, but the only other "analog stick smooth locomotion" game I've tried made me nauseous very quickly.
I miss Cube Arena in this list for sure. The first MOBA with classic map like DOTA 2 or League of legends with Minecraft graphics. This sounds insane. You should definitely put it into the next top games even it’s still in app lab and still in development
A game like little cities or cities skylines intergrated with the mixed reality would be amazing. Having a residential district on my coffe table and a bridge crossing to my sofa where the commercial district is
It is. I think one reason is because most who bought a Quest 2 64 gb headset didn't wana buy it coz there will be enough space just to install it by itself and maybe squeeze in a couple more.. since it's like 40gb... however it's an incredible game like you said
I miss playing Skyrim on my psvr and when I got the 2 I hoped to return to the game yet of course it’s not backwards compatible, I’m hoping they put Skyrim vr on quest 3 standalone
Anyone interested in a Half Life Alyx style fps with High on Life style humor should check out Vertigo 2. Team was basically 1 guy. Game is a treat on SteamVR (coming to PSVR2 mid Jan 2024)
@@comfysun57 I completely disagree. I know a lot of people having a trust issue with other people but there are people out there who wanna help others achieving greatness. I'll say the best passion game dev would consist around 5 devs, not too small nor too many.

I'm looking to purchase a third party battery head strap for new Quest 3. I'm not into fitness apps and heavy shooters, so I guess I am a more chilled player. Is the Bobo vr m3 better or an Elite Strap style one like the Aubika?
Don't buy the Bobo for a quest 3. It just repurposes the quest 2 batteries and you'll barely get anything out of it, and that's assuming it doesn't buzz in your ear
Bought Quest 3 yesterday. And to be fair, only interested in Assassin's Creed VR. Also gonna try Half Life Alyx. But why there so much horror spooky games.
So is ghost buster really that bad, man was hoping somebody say something good about it. Really wanna play that game, but also don't want to waste money.
Games worth a look are Puzzling Places which is great and doom whilst a port is pretty amazing fishermans tale is just awesome as are IEYTD and beat saber. In death is nice but very repetitive.
The original RE4 was janky as heck, the controls were clumsy and the camera was terrible. Yet, people seemed to love it. Are the high ratings for RE4 VR rose tinted?
Common buddy.. where is Dungeons oF Eternity ..... its simply one of the best games on VR. Period. Otherwise fantastc list. And the Light brigade is spot on one of the best. Its absolutely solid
I know it’s a dumb nitpick but I got annoyed that RE 4 doesn’t have headshots. I was bother that I have to put so many rounds in the head of a villager
I love that you put Walkabout on top. It is simply the greatest.

I bought walk about mini golf when i was bored of all the games i had and nothing was coming out anytime soon. Its amazing. I play is almost daily.
Having a great time with Asgards Wrath. The combat has become very energetic and active after about 15h into the game. It's a good workout.
Hmm. No Into The Radius in the list which is a little bit strange
Damn right
Surprised Dungeons of Eternity isn't in there. I should have my Quest 3 in about a month, can't wait for AC and AWII.
AW2 is freaking cool on the Q3. You'll love it.

Wifey bought me a q3 for Chrimbo , being a day 1 q1 and 2 adopter the q3 is a mah-hoosive upgrade. Truly phenomenal tech :)
😂
We are almost ready for a new version of Black and White, because that would be great in VR, being a god, and all.
I`ve been thinking the same thing since i first put the Q3 headset on...
I need more games like Lies Beneath. It was great fun and a great thrilling experience

I really just want Halo 2 or 3 to get the RE4 treatment man. If that ever happens, I will lose my damn mind
Odst would be sweet too- but yeah I'd like to relive 2 through vr- hunters in the court yard. Got to get vr first lol- one day.
Right now i am scratching my halo itch by playing them on Quest 3 via the Xbox cloud on a massive screen. Next best thing imo
