There was a very good period for Cliff Richard between 1979 to 1982 where he came up big hits. It was also a good period for his good friend Olivia Newton John.
That was a stellar well-arranged performance by Marilyn McCoo and Cliff Richard. I tried to access the video yesterday, but it had been blocked. I am glad that it was unblocked. I do not understand those copyright issues, as I would think that it would be public domain with so much time gone by. Marilyn often appears to use her acting skills in her singing, and it had shone through here. She helped set the mood of the song from beginning to end. She really emotes well in her performances. Cliff Richard blended his voice well with hers. As soon as they began, I immediately recognized the song from so long ago. Thank you, Michael, for the upload and getting it unblocked from those censors!!! I wonder how that had gotten done.
@@bigeyezzzzzzz Yes, to paraphrase your "Solid Gold" theme song, the music had magic and was magic here.💙 The vocals were so good here that it could be thought that Marilyn McCoo had been the artist that recorded the song with Cliff Richard, as they blended together so well.!!! It was a beauteous performance.
He seemed to do a lot of Solid Appearances in the early eighties which is a little surprising given he's seldom ever toured the USA [ And when he did so such as he did in 1980 his audiences consisted largely of Brits in the US on holiday. ] and yet I'm glad he did. This is great!❤👍👍
Cliff Richard, i grew up with your music, knew all your songs since the 60's,thank you Cliff for decades of pure entertainment, still looking good and still going strong ,more power to you, wish you good health as always....

Cliff really showed off his vocals in this song. He got better and better. Wired for Sound, Devil Woman et el. I do enjoy The Next Time from his sixties catalogue though. This was incredible as per. Thank you for the upload Mister Miller.
Two of my favorite people. They not only sing, but they represent alot of great charities and causes. Amen to both of you. Love and Prayers from Canada 🇨🇦❤🙏🕊🌹
This show was the first time I ever saw Cliff. I grew up in ISRAEL as a huge fan but never saw him in stage (but saw all his movies) and we had no TV at that time. Coming-unfortunately and against mine and my mother’s best judgement-to the US, at least ai was able to see him on stage.

They really complimented each other
Great memories. My late mom's favorite singer Sir Cliff Richard. I was introduced to this version of this song via Solid Gold.
I miss solid gold, especially the dancers
Widescreen musical enjoyment. Today, this song is missing from many places.

I think this song sounds much better as a duet, rather than solo
First time I saw Cliff singing this song w/ a duet & Marilyn Mccoo at that, superb!
Wow what a Duet Marilyn McCoo as usual sparkles - what a Movie Star of a performer!!!!!
